There are but most of the free ones are trash…

Hey
Does anyone know how to do the reflection thingy that Gerri Shin does?
~poke'd

Like, a reflection at the bottom of the banner, right?

I'm not sure exactly how he does it, but here's a tutorial I found:

Click.

If you really want to know, why not PM him? ^^

Yes Shiranui that was the
[PokeCommunity.com] Photoshop Q & A
Tutorial i needed.

hehe, wow! Someone wondered about my techniques? 0_o
anyway, You could always PM me or check my DA to see if I've already put a tut up. I had taken down my Reflections tut last week so I could revamp it with new pictures and add a perspective pic at the bottom. I'm always willing to try and make tutorials for things I make, just suggest it and I'll try it.

Hey, does anyone know a good smudge brush? Because i've got elements, i cant edit my smudge settings.

Um I would say go to Devainart to download one by typing in the search button, "smudge brush." Or just use the smudge too? xD;

Gawd i'm so dumb.
Hehe i found out how to do strikethrough, and now i'm abusing it like a new born biscuit.
Thanks Hazuki

Any tips or recommendations on a tutorial to color manga scans?

Thanks, every little bit helps. ^^

Are there any benefits to upgrading from CS2 to CS3 or are they pretty much the same?

I haven't upgraded myself. The only thing I know is that they put Imageready's animate function into PSCS3. Also when enlarging an image the quality doesn't decrease as much.
Sorry if there are function used in that tutorial you are unable to do… I didn't watch it all ^^;

Uh, Photoshop CS3 is really not much different from CS2, from what I can tell.

I didn't even notice the animate feature was built-in, even though I used it once or twice. *SHOT* I could get my effects more easily with Imageready. x_o And pretty much, the biggest thing I realized was "Omg, there's one more layer blending mode I can use!"

It's a pretty useless mode though, so I don't see much point in upgrading unless you get super bored. xD;

So I'm doing a request from my shop, and I'm going to get the text. When I try to put the text in, it's typed extremely small. Even when I change the font size, it is extremely small. I've used that font before, and it should be a size that is reasonable when I set it around 12. But this time, it is always very small. Even when I set it to 72, you can barely see it. Anyone know what's wrong? >.<

This happens to me alot, but when you restart the computer, it should hopefully go back to normal, It has something to do with what you've opened recently.

If your looking for a bigger size, where it says ?? pt. Type in a bigger number to increase the size.

Typing a big number makes the text look pixelish. XD

Oh, okay, I'll try restarting my computer. Thanks, CheesePeow! ^_^;

How do you rotate a single layer? I've read a lot of tutorials that say rotate this or that 180 degrees, but whenever I rotate, it rotates the ENTIRE thing. Please, help is needed.

Well, there's probably another way to do it, but I extract the entire layer to a new file thing and rotate it there. After that I return it. :3

Sorry, Gumz, if that wasn't the answer you were looking for.

Do Ctrl+T (or right click, Free Transform). Hover your mouse outside of the box that appears around whatever is on the layer, and the mouse should turn into a curved arrow-type thing. Then spin it around to rotate it. Hold down the Shift key while spinning it around to keep it at a 20 degree angle when it turns.

I hope that's what you meant o.o"
