Recommend me some PS3 games, please!

Hi all! :D

I plan on buying myself a PS3 next weekend! I'm totally excited about it, but... I need some game recommendations. So far I KNOW I will be buying Little Big Planet and Fallout 3. But what else games should I buy?! I'm used to my PS2, and I don't have any shooter games... but I'm gonna start getting into them.

So any roleplaying, shooter, or adventurous game sounds good. =D
 
Little Big Planet and Fallout 3 are great choices. I recommend getting the GOTY edition for both of them since it comes with all the DLC for each game.

As for other games, there are so many.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Uncharted 2
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Red Dead Redemption
Final Fantasy 13
White Knight Chronicles

These are some of the best games out right now. (Shooters and RPGs)

There are many more, let me know if would like me to add more.
 
Bioshock (and if you like it, its sequel) is an RPG Shooter. It was pretty much my first shooter so while I was hesitant on getting into the genre since all I'd really played before that were RPGs, it was a good way to ease me in. And it's a great game anyway, so it's a good choice.

Crossed out the ones I personally think you shouldn't get. Sure I'm being hypocritical as I'm on MW2 right now...But god I hate this game, wait for Black Ops. I personally HATE Fallout 3..But your choice. And White Knight sucks.

If you have played and loved Resi 4, don't get Resi 5, it will destroy your soul..God that game disgusts me.
 
I think white knight chronicles is a great game.

Personally I would say get Battlefield:BC2, Super Street fighter 4, Final Fanatasy 13, Uncharted 2, and MW1 as MW2 is just boring if you don't enjoy getting shot by noobtubes and commando.
 
I rather enjoyed Critter Crunch. If you're into puzzle games then I can definitely recommend it.

I just got into PS3 too so those are the only 3 games I recommend.
 
I'm all for if anyone is ready to face the rolling kangaroo of doom on Tekken 6 xD

I'm interested in getting Blur, anyone else into that one? The mario kart/need for speed fusion.
 
Games you should get for PS3:
Resident Evil 5 (I did play RE4, but RE5 is by far better.)
Final Fantasy XIII
Heavy Rain
Super Street Fighter IV
Bioshock
Modern Warfare 2
inFAMOUS
Batman: Arkham Asylum

All of these games I recommended are awesome.
 
Just got my 5th Platinum. I now have them on:
COD:WAW
COD:MW2
Burnout Paradise
Assassin's creed 2
and Dante's Inferno

Latest was Dante's Inferno.

Was pretty easy. Took me about 9 hours. Would have been less if I hadn't missed a few things on my first playthrough.

Demon's Souls is on Amazon for only $30 right now, get that. I can't really suggest anything else since I don't have that much other games, but this is definitely my favorite PS3 game so far.
