FireRed hack: Pokémon Adventure - Red Chapter NEW BETA + EXPANSION

1) To be fair, the whole ordeal started because of PirateOfThe7Seas' comment. That's what triggered Aethestode after having all those insults from different parts of the internet accumulated for quite a long time on him, clearly.

2) The moderators didn't want to make Aethestode abandon his work at all, they just did their job which was to apply the rules when they see 'em fit. That's how a community as big as PokeCommunity keeps going, because there are rules and they do definitely need to be followed.

3) I actually thought about someone taking on Aethestode's job. The thing is that he deleted the project's folder entirely and working with someone else's job, say, by modifying the already existent Beta 11E or Beta 12's Demo without having a proper list of the offsets and flags used, table repointings and such, is kinda hard if not plain impossible.

we can find the offsets... but the problem is, we can't do the work how Aethestode was doing. He knew everything he had done. I don't even know how the Follow me script works. But still, its not impossible. Any experienced hacker or a group of them may do it easily.

Sad to say the community has lost its most talented and most devoted hacker over something that could have been so easily avoided ;-;

Wow what a bummer to hear that progression for this hack has stopped. I guess i'll have to make do with the current version. I don't know what is the deal but seeing the potential of this hack, its really REALLY unfortunate.

Rock Smash on the stairs in the upper left corner, you'll get the Rock Smash HM before having your last encounter with Giovanni in Viridian City.
EDIT: Wait, you can't leave? That's kinda weird, you should be able to leave that house in any single moment except for the climax of that Side Chapter.

Aethestode is not coming back now that he got a lot of bad memories from here and without his permission, nobody's making the game come back from dead. Get over it, the HackROM is dead, the thread is only open now for those who still play Beta 11E and got X doubt to be solved or welp, I guess that you can also say some words about the cancellation, but that's it.
 
Okay, aethestode do not need to come back. But that pirater of 7 seas need to be banned and sprecial should be out from mods

PirateOfThe7Seas' comment should indeed be deleted, but ban him? That's definitely a no-no.
He stated his opinion about how angry he would be over a reset per region traveling but in the wrong way, that's it, it's not something he should get banned for, we're humans and doing mistakes like that is pretty normal.

Spherical should leave the moderation? For doing the work he was asked to? Hell no.
A community as big as PokeCommunity NEEDS to follow certain rules in order to mantain a balance and a friendly environment for everyone. Without said rules, everything would perish.

Again, PirateOfThe7Seas' comment should indeed be deleted, but that's it, in my honest opinion.

does anyone have the latest IPS for this game? All I have is an early copy (beta 3 from 2013), and the download link no longer works.

To be fair, on the matter of certain content of the HackROM getting deleted just because of Spherical's opinion, we only got Aethestode's PoV. We don't really know if it actually happened that way and in any case, Aethestode could have simply explained the situation to any other moderator back then and come to terms with that 2nd Moderator & Spherical, something that he didn't even tried.

Now, in my opinion, if that matter went just like Aethestode explained it, Spherical shouldn't have threatened with closing the thread just because of said content, honestly.

Note: Is impossible to actually make an IPS Patch instead of an UPS Patch since the ROM is expanded and Lunar IPS' limit seems to be the 16MB ROMs.
 
Since things have been getting rather off topic here and the author has stated that he no longer plans to work on the hack, this thread will be locked.

Aethestode, if you'd like to continue development of your hack just contact a mod and we'll unlock the thread for you.
 
It's good to see everything back to normal. Now everyone, chill your jets and wait patiently for Beta 12.
