You'd have to agree, it was me that said it, after all. Mantyke is a monstrosity.

No. Snorlax and Sudowoodo were Snorlax and Sudowoodo. What is this 'beefing up' nonsense? You can EV train and IV breed, the pre-evolution gets in the way of that, it doesn't help.

It's like a Dementor from Harry Potter.

It was quite creepy, wasn't it?

No, not magic. Psychic powers.

No, she was talking about, say, Kingdra, and how it manages to levitate. Oh, and last time I looked, Kingdra was a Water/Dragon Type, not a Flying type.

Magic Leaf is an illusion, as is all magic.

No. Not at all. I mean, Raichu can learn toxic, and Raichu isn't Poison type.

They levitate with the forces of magnetism in conjunction with the equator and the earth's crust.

You mean like Pokèmon?

No. You see, the wings are small, but size is no confirmation when it comes to power.

Or multi-tasking. I think I've won.

So you lose an argument and run away? I'm disappointed.

That's what we've been wondering for the last page, too.

You must be pretty proud of yourself.

It mainly lives in the sea? Oh my God, what a horrifically false statement.
I didn't get disappointed, XD
I just didn't know how we could talk about Dragonite's wings for the rest of the night! XD
If you wanna keep talking about it I don't care, I just thought it was time for a new topic. Please, keep talking about it I just didn't know that the topic was still going on. XD

Also, Pokemon Robots? No way, it's just gotta be magic from the pokemon. XD I never saw Pokemon as robots before.....

Pokèmon aren't robots. What a crazy assumption.

Thanks for correcting rai on one of my favorite sea dwellers dragonite xD

lol, wow raichu that was one of the largest post i've ever seen, you sure know how to catch up for lost times XD

But back on the dragonite topic, all of you say how does it fly with little wings, well I was looking around for the answer, and found on bulba that it's tiny wings increase in size during flight, and despite being bulky it is incredibly agile and fast (like in the movie run)

Anyways... Pokemon arnt robots, just various versions of bugs

It is funny, how the entire pokemon world, the entire system of everything, was all formed from a young kid catching bugs, to believe all of this came from just that childhood memory is simply incredible to me.

Nah?? Really? Satoshi Tajiri or who?

Hahahha I brought Dragonite's wings up *smug*
To be honest, I'd forgotten it was a sea-dweller.... ^^ That explains the designs of Dragonair and Dratini as well, ahhaha....

Yup, look up the profile of him on bulbapedia or anywhere in fact.

He's said in various pokemon interviews, how he knew many people and kids couldnt enjoy bug catching like he loved to do. So he designed and created pokemon.

And today is one of the largest empires ever.

What a great story.

Yeah, him. Anyone ever hear of the stag beetle?

So, moving on because I am incredibly bored, what is everyone's favourite memory with Pokèmon?

Yeah, that is an interesting background story :)

Maybe they created Bugsy to personify him :P

lol, I have a thread for pokemon memories, and it's still up yet no one is repling to it, :'(

Well a good memory I have is catching a wailmer and training with it for years, great times. One of the greatest times i ever had.

When I finally got a Houndoom in Gold................

And when I had that wonderful team including Blaziken, Volbeat and Raichu in Ruby... those were the days.

That's brings me to another of mine, back in gold era I had an azumarill, gosh I couldnt have loved azumarill any more.
It was flippin awesome and defeating a bunch of my friends over link battling (the era before my competitive metagame formed) what a blast.

I called him "Tidal" one of the greatest names I ever made ;P, and today I call my azu's Tidal... Great times... :D

Gold really gave me many various joyous memories, at the time of gold, I was in a recretion during the summer, and remember all of the camp huddled around me waiting to see my chika face the bellsprout tower and the first gym. Great times.

Ah! That with the camp sounds wonderful :D

I never owned my own Gold game, all I've ever owned on my own is Yellow and Ruby. But my friend lent it to me, and I spent a whole summer playing it. I love Gold, I tried to play Crystal a couple of months ago, but.... the memories from that "Golden time" (lol) made it feel like I was harassing the game when re-doing the quest xD

I've never had that problem with Kanto and Hoenn games, but Johto sure was special. Hm... might have been due to me not having that game for very long, making it a special time.[/rant]

True, GSC has an aura of speciality, and that's why we all want great remakes XD

I owned 5 golds and a silver, reason was after about 2 years with gold I got a gameshark, and erased a ton of golds, those were some of the worst times ever, I havnt hacked since, and never will.

But before that nightmare, I loved everything about that series, owned chika, and had a blast

Also I never owned ruby or sapp, friend "gave" it to me, same with leafgreen. I never played emerald though, something I wish I did back then :\

I tried Emerald out on emulator some time ago. But it's not the same feeling as holding the GB in your real hands... :/ so it's not at all as nice as it should have been. I wish I'd waited for it and bought that instead of Ruby. But I simply couldn't resist ^^ and Ruby came a lot earlier too. Of course.

Emerald is cool. I'm playing it right now...since I am broke and can not afford a DS or Diamond/Pearl. :(

There are a few differences in the game to Ruby/Saph...or so I'm told. Though I took the easy route and used a Walkthrough...that rocks! It tells you who to face first and in what order and what Pokemon they are using. It was fun. I am currently at Victory road boosting my Pokemon's levels.

Emerald just looks a little different, and there are more trainers. And they always try to corner you into two-on-two battles, that's really annoying..

I loved the rawness of Ruby, and by the time Emerald came out, I had already played through bot h Ruby and Sapphire and completed the Hoenn dex, I felt like my time could be put to better use elsewhere.

I forget did Emerald come out before or after FireRed/LeafGreen?

I remember playing GSC. I loved those games, and had nothing but fun playing them. Having a team composed of Johto pokemon in kanto felt pretty cool as well.
