FireRed hack: Pokémon FireGold

So what exactly changes between Easy, Hard, and Extreme mode?

Easy is about as difficult as a standard Pokémon game.
Hard gives important battles teams of 6 with slightly higher levels.
Extreme trainers have noticeably higher levels, 255 EVs, higher AI, and full teams of 6 with custom movesets for important battles and most trainers after Kanto. The Johto level-curve is also a lot steeper, reaching level 100 by the end of the game.
Kanto in extreme mode probably still needs a bit more work though. I think I'll raise them to the standard of the Johto folk.

Alright, so I'm sitting in Celadon City right now, rocking a team of Blastoise, Beedrill, Primeape, and Electrode. I wanted to have a Vileplume, but getting the right nature was a hassle so I never caught one. A Nature Changer would be nice for that. Otherwise, so far, the hack's been regular Fire Red with some tweaks (love that the Teachy TV and the Fame Checker were removed) and I'm fine with that.

I'd love to add one.
ASM is not my strong point, so I'll definitely be requesting some outside help on that one eventually.

OK, so I beat the Elite 4 of Kanto with my ragtag band of misfits (Blastoise/Aerodactyl/Porygon/Electrode/Beedrill/Primeape) and as soon as I got to Azalea Town, I did everything as normal and was about to enter the Forest. The game pulled a Reset Glitch on me and I lost all that progress. Naturally, the only proper response to such happenings is to delete the game without a second thought. XD

My favorite thing about Johto was giving Sentret Skill Link. One of my favorite abilities on one of my top ten favorite Pokemon.

Oh no!
Sorry to hear that.
I always use the in-emulator save function. It's much more reliable, gives you multiple slots, is instant and can be used any time. Maybe try this going forward?

I'm glad you liked Skill Link Sentret. I do love the lil guy so I really wanted him to have more going for him. Looks like I neglected to give him Tail Slap though. Definitely something to add in a newer version.

Also, I found the little secret under the truck, but when I caught it and tried to train it, it was disobedient. And I had all the Gym Badges at the time (actually wound up getting Marsh Badge last cause I forgot about Silph Co. Once I got the Flute, I went to Fuschia, then Cinnabar, and then Viridian. Only found out when I couldnt pass the Elite 4 guard.)

But yeah, another ROM hack made me enjoy Sentret/Furret quite a bit, so seeing new Skill Link users is always fun.

Uh oh, thought I fixed this. It's a simple hex edit so I will correct in a later version.
