FireRed hack: Pokémon Gaia Version

Been wondering if there were any updates on an update but I'm glad they're still working on this rom hack
Only gripe I had were the undeletable HMs to an otherwise almost perfect game. But I'm still excited for v4

I'm in the Gaia discord, apparently it's still being developed but Spherical Ice themselves said they are terrible with giving updates xD

They did confirm they were still working on it earlier this year though

I was popping in to see what was up with this hack since it's been forever since I'd checked on it but this is good to know, thank you! I had no idea it was being ported to Emerald Decomp so it'll be fun to see how it progresses even further! :)
 
Just want to say that this is one of the best Pokemon hack roms I have played and I've played about 8 different ones, you can tell alot of effort went into this, thanks alot!

I'm not part of the dev team, nor have I claimed to be part of the dev team, so I don't why you saying "you people" when all I did was share public information from the Discord.

Devs are working to give you a game for free, without getting paid, and while also having to deal with their actual life's. It's not like this is their actual job. The least you could do is not be an impatient child. Especially when there are plenty of other ROM Hacks now to keep you busy until v4 is released.
 
People aren't ready for the impact 4.0 is going to have. A lot of the community do not realize that the developers aren't just updating the game, they're basically creating a brand new hack using the Emerald Expansion. If there's a hack that could rival Unbound in terms of sheer ingenuity… this will be it. Stay tuned.

I'm so excited for v4
Gaia was the first rom hack I've played that I finished and left a lasting impact on me, until Unbound released
But Gaia definitely still has the better region and progression imo

Don't wanna be that guy but a bunch of new OST and character customization isn't enough to make the hardcore fans happy. Of course, the casuals will love it, but actual people who knows how to critique and what makes a ROM hack great in the modern times will see through these "spices". I haven't seen anything worthwhile that could truly wow the crowd in v4 atm, and due to this, v4 might become a shallow main course which is only backed by the said "spices". Remove them and you have a dish that is bland and tasteless.

We don't need to see the spices to know the dev is adding the spices. Anyone who has played a recent Emerald ROM Hack knows what the decomp Emerald expansions is capable of doing.

If the dev wasn't going to use those capabilities, they would have just stood with the original plan of the final update using the original engine.

You assuming the dish will be bland because you aren't seeing the chef cook the dish, even though that chef is a Certified Master. We are assuming the dish will be amazing cause we know what the chef is capable of and what ingredients they are using.

Gaia was already a great game, adding the modern QoL updates and the post-game that was missing is just going to make it shine more.
