Chit-Chat: Pokémon General DCC

When I got back into the anime I started on Best Wishes! instead of going back to where I was before. So so glad that I did that because I don't think I would actually be into the anime again if I didn't hahaha. I still have plans on going through and watching everything (I'm at the end of Johto rn) but until then I still haven't watched most of Hoenn or Sinnoh and yet I s2g I know Ash most than most people.

That said I personally enjoy Best Wishes a lot but it's definitely not for everyone. If you think you're not going to be able to just watch the anime with low expectations then honestly you'll probably not like Best Wishes. But go in with a very (and I mean very) open mind and it'll probably surprise you! It's definitely more about playing and relaxing and friendship than the rest of the series.

One thing I have notice is that those who really enjoy Best Wishes don't like XY and vice versa. Probably because they focus on different aspects on both the anime and Ash himself (though, of course, they also play with the same general idea bit too??? but yeah).

If I were to go back into watching anime, I'd likely start off with X and Y, haha. I've ran into a couple of Unova episodes before, and to me, they didn't seem to have been as great as I had expected, which will likely cause me to skip that season. Sinnoh is sort of similar in my eyes, but due to some of its resemblance to Advanced Generation (which was by far my most favorite), I wouldn't mind giving it a better chance.

Does Anyone wonder Why almost all E4 member and champion are Type-Specialist ?
I think , All Pokemon trainer has ''Affinity'' with sudden type of Pokemon ! That why almost all E4 member & champion are Type Specialist because they use the type of pokemon they has an ''Affinity'' with .

I wonder about what type of Ash has affinity with !
May be , Ash has an Affinity with ''Fire'' and ''Dragon'' pokemon.
It would be cool if Drasna appear and tell Iris that Ash has Greater Affinity with Dragon type and his Potential as a Dragon-Master is higher then Iris.

Everyone has a favorite typing they're drawn to.

As for Ash being a Dragon master and better than Iris? No. That's like saying he is on par with Lance or Claire which isn't really true as he doesn't use many Dragon pokemon, or frequently anyway

I'm that person who watched all through the seasons that went through kanto and Johto and stopped when Misty left. (idk proper names of the seasons clearly)

I've seen a few episodes of all the other seasons here and there just out of curiosity to see what they were like. My consensus is that the diamond and pearl season was awful. Dawn in the anime was so bland, it was painful to watch. Advanced gen seemed alright and surprisingly the unova season didn't irk me like I thought it was going to. Only caught one or two episodes of x and y so idk what to make of it

I don't remember when I stopped caring for the anime. There were quite a few DP episodes I saw, but I know I wasn't around for the BW arc (ironically).

I stopped watching the show after Dawn traded away Buizel. I was aggravated with her attitude and how she took every loss and went into a spiraling depression

It's been ages so time for a change in topic I think :P I've been playing ORAS again lately and I've been amazed at how powerful Chimecho has been. I recently added it to my team and it's been decimating opponents which has really surprised me. I was expected it to be meh but it's definitely more than that.

Which brings me to my question - have you ever had preconceived ideas about specific Pokemon that have changed through an experience with that Pokemon in the games/anime/manga/whatever?

Actually, Hypno was one of those. I didn't really use it because I thought it was only good for Special Defense and nothing else. I tried it in FireRed and it was actually pretty good, helped by the fact that it makes pretty good in-game mixed attacker due to its fairly wide movepool.

Beedrill getting some better moves in Gen IV also made it start to grow on me, since it really didn't get a decent Bug-move before X-scissor. Twinneedle was okay, but still not too great. X-scissor is also one of my favorite moves as well.

Hypno is a Pokémon i've always liked, despite how controversial people can get about it.

But for the question itself, there are quite a few Pokémon I could say this about, but for the most part, this is why you play Nuzlockes, so you can come up with more answers to that question. :P

Plenty of Pokemon, actually. Palpitoad, Leavanny, Krookodile, Torkoal, Hawlucha, Garchomp (to stop naming Pokemon that are Ash's jfc what is my life), Lucario, and I'm sure there are several more. Either because I really enjoyed how the anime portrayed them or I used them in a challenge (such as a Nuzlocke) and they did an amazing job and my likeness for them grew from that.

Lucario especially since I used to hate how overrated it was. But it grew on me after I actually watched the Lucario movie (so goooood hnnng) and then later when I caught a Riolu in my Nuzlocke and had a Lucario much earlier than I could have. Stayed with me for pretty much my whole nuzlocke as well.

BUT SPEAKING OF NUZLOCKES I cannot forget Bibarel my MVP of my first Nuzlocke I kid you not. His name was Bob and I kept him because my Fletchling died and so I leveled up the Bidoof I caught until it had rollout. Decimated Viola and really if it wasn't for Bob I wouldn't have been able to finish said nuzlocke.

If I have, they've been so long ago that I don't remember them and don't really remember changing them.

I didn't really have an opinion on Meloetta before it entered my favorites, as I barely knew it existed.

Not the Battle Palace, that was my least favorite from Emerald. But I think the Battle Pike would be a nice one to have return, either that or the Battle Pyramid. Those were the two I think I liked the most.

All of them because I was a lazy person and never did the Battle Frontier and then I lost my Emerald not long after I started soft-resetting for Shiny Rayquaza </3
Ow, I have bad memories of losing my first Emerald version in late 2005, it wasn't a nice time. I had to get another one six months later, and in 2007 I traded that one and another game (don't remember what) for a Fire Red version, but I managed to get another one in 2009. I haven't done much on it...

I'm really not so good at battle facilities at all since I'm not a good competitive player. But I still don't get why Emerald's Battle Frontier gets so much praise over its lesser counterparts...

Oh sure, now everyone wants to start talking about the Battle Frontier now that the POTW about it is over -_-

I still say that the Battle Factory was the best of the original facilities- mostly because it tested your strength as a trainer, rather than the strength of Pokemon that you've had time to perfect for battle.

This PG splash is so cool. Osiris best mod <3
Eh... there have been better mods. That Red's Hawt Chibi Pelippers guy was pretty good.
