Click here for details about The PokéCommunity League. The PCL Championship is only played in Smogon's ORAS OU on Pokémon Showdown. If you don't like OU, clan membership isn't for you. However, PCL has an Offseason that lasts for 12 weeks between each Championship, which will feature a wide variety of battle formats.
You have the option to be either a clan member or a mercenary. Clan members are a part of a clan, and are expected to be consistently active and involved with their clan. On the other hand, mercenaries don't have the same restrictions, as they aren't assigned to a clan. Clans hire mercenaries in the Leaves of Absence & Mercenary Hiring thread when a member of theirs is unable to complete their match.
• Look over our activity requirements and make sure that you'll have time for PCL.
• Members that are active in the Battling & Team Building forum and/or the PC Battle Server are vastly preferred. However, we may make exceptions if we know that you'll be active.
• You must have a total of at least 100 posts on your PokéCommunity forum account. Again, exceptions can be made for various reasons, like if you're very active on our battle server.
• Your signup may get denied if you have a known history of either 1) being inactive in events like PCL, or 2) being a poor sport.

These requirements don't apply to mercenaries. If you don't meet them, feel free to sign up as a mercenary to prove that you are active and interested in PCL. Signup Form
Selecting "clan member" will put you on a waiting list for the next opening on a clan. Selecting "mercenary until a clan opening" will allow you to be a mercenary while you're waiting.
