On the topic of the FullXP, I'd really like that. 90% of the time I die is when my game lags because my router decides to disconnect itself from the internet, and it's not fun when you lose 20+ levels haha. I don't think it will motivate players to kill other players, though. We've been a friendly bunch, so far :P
 
Oh, and while on the topic of the PvP thing, what would you think of making an area a good distance from the town? I was thinking more of the lines of an arena, but maybe we can like implement a smaller version of the Hunger Games or something? I was thinking at the back of my base, but that might not be ample enough.
 
We could build the worst cockfighting arena in someone's backyard. Make it look just like the ones on TV, only the chickens just lay eggs and never fight. Egglaying arena.
 
How about pvp allowed in the nether? It is hell after all. Or maybe just an designated arena somewhere.

I think a dedicated arena is the best idea. If someone wants to visit the Nether to collect resources (me), I don't want to have to watch my back for another player too.

We can figure out where to build an area and construct it, then if two people want to test their gear or just battle it out, that area is designated for such activity!
 
Funny thing is, you wouldn't be dealing with just other players in the nether, but the pigmen as well. I'm trying to get Protection IV on 3 of my pieces of armor first, then fix them up before going into the nether.
 
To elaborate a little more without giving away too much - I'm working on a Minecraft Event dubbed "Thunderdome" that will be PvP. But that's all I'm saying right now because I want it to be a surprise for many of you.

you might... want to specify which chest because we have... a lot of them lmao

btw anyone who wants stuff from Penta and I- usually we'll totally be like yeah sure go take it but just cause we say yes most of the time doesn't mean you dont have to ask! i mean nobodys done this but i just want to put it out there that our chests are open but only when we invite people to get stuff while we're doing other things for everyone's convenience and we do trust y'all with most of our stuff. ask in the thread or when we're on don't matter just ask :) only exception is the food in the basement chests like have at the prepared food all you want; it'll never get used otherwise. and feel free to harvest anything but replant and if you **** up the farm pls put it back thats all i ask

I actually did put a small sign next to it saying that it was in the specified chest; he already picked them up but I had placed the chest and the eggs in his room.

Oh, btw I took about 6 or so stacks of spruce wood Anna :( So sorry that I didn't tell you that earlier :x

And huh, I don't know what projects I could start for the whole town :( I mean I'm still building my base, I have yet to truly mine for stuff, leaving signs and dirt at random people's houses, and been basically slacking D: I was thinking of helping Garde with the railroad project, but I don't know :x

Also Matt, I saw the Thunderdome location ;) So far, it looks very snazzy :3

It would be nice to find some sort of alternative than the million torches that are surrounding town - glowstone lights? - but that might be hard to do. And thank you! Me and thuglifebear worked on it a bunch last night. Thunderdome is essentially completed except for a little bit of redstone that needs to be worked in and the chests being filled; other than that it's good to go!
 
So an official 1.8 release will be out on September 2. Will you be updating or will you stick with 1.7.10?

Haven't decided yet. I'm more over just afraid to try and update it considering the last two times I tried to do that the server, well, reset itself.
 
Thanks to Matt giving me back those villagers, I've now built a house and got the Tradestation up - this means, we can get more emeralds, plus more trades will be available when the house grows! Not to mention, there's an iron golem on guard. I'm doing this in hope to get some diamond tools, instead of wasting valuable diamond in crafting them.

Total number of villagers so far: 11

Watching Iron Golems f up other mobs is hilarious to watch; I was with Klippster the other day when I saw one just knock a mini-Zombie flying in the air, it was pretty hilarious. Nice addition overall.
