Underestimated it too. Helped to get a fairly good move selection (Confuse Ray spam and decent spacing on Moonlights). Initially thought about giving it Toxic. Already gave that to Pidgeot, though (before knowing what leaders would be chosen). Fell back on standard Umbreon strategies. Proved absolutely vicious.

Almost won that stall war. Blames the random number generator for not picking Rest for so long. (Hit itself in confusion on a Rest turn near the end too.) Likely trashes Magmar after Umbreon too.

A close loss. Still fared okay in terms of score. Needed either one Mach Punch (maybe) or a turn 1 Counter instead of an Ice Punch. Would have been great versus Dragonite, unfortunately.

Set Snorlax to Quirky. Might be wondering where all Defense Curls and Curses were. Saw part of the string at the end: Curse as move #7 and Defense Curl as moves #8-11.

Really rooted for Chansey there. Was at 13 health during that second freeze. Too bad about those Sing misses and quick unthaws. Next three moves for Chansey: Soft-boiled (that turn), Blizzard, and Sing.

Received a really good move selection list, also. Rolled all the good moves early. Found most of the worse moves (Flail, Egg Bomb) at the end.

Began as a battle of one-shots. Bets on Pikachu fainting to Gyarados's turn 1 Hyper Beam, if not for going first.

Not great luck for Piloswine or Dragonite, unfortunately. Sees no more Icy Winds for another few turns on Piloswine's side.

What an excellent final match. Yielded the second highest score of the event.

Poor Dewgong. Was fully paralyzed on the turn it wanted to Rest. Performed almost identically to Aquacorde's Dewgong, funnily enough.

Calculated Snorlax's health on turn 59: 4 hitpoints. Clutch. Survived because of the ace difference.

Did not roll as many Rests as it appeared. Chose Rest 16 times out of the 52 moves Snorlax used (30.8%). Kept doing it with 2 or 3 turn gaps. Ran Aerodactyl out of AncientPowers, by the way.

Only two criticals in that whole fight (neither for you, unsurprisingly). Saw the only omni-boost for Aerodactyl this fight (having now processed 8 matches).

Great matches! I'm not mad about loosing to Lance, all my Pokemon did the best they could, it was a fair fight. Gained just enough extra points to clutch first place still and defend my title from last year. With the same team too!

A key point of this event is using Chansey in your 3rd slot and another unevolved mon (if you can afford to), because the multipliers are just worth that much.
