1-1) E) No, don't learn Take Down. Not a fan of recoil moves, especially in a game like this.

1-2) E) No, don't learn Amnesia. Not a terrible move. Would rather have Rest.

1-3) A) Yes, forget Leer. No major preference one way or the other here.

2) C) Yes, switch to Litleo. Not a great first match-up (the Toedscool). Lacks Ground moves, fortunately.

3) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

4) A) Attack the Bounsweet. Nothing too dangerous on them (Razor Leaf, Rapid Spin, Play Nice, and Splash/Sweet Scent). Base 30 offenses too.

5-1) U) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now. Unnecessary.
5-2) B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. Saves them for a bigger room (like the one near the construction area).
5-3) F) No, don't use the Totter Orb now.
5-4) B) No, don't use the Trapbust Orb now.

6) A) Yes, drink a Berry Juice. Heals up to 50 HP and also heals any status conditions. Expects to get paralyzed from Toedscool or one of the Cutieflies.

7) A) Pick up all items.

8) B) Take the Eastern exit. Spies a tree stump ahead. Looks important.

Spoiler:

Mouflon doesn't learn Take Down, Barboach doesn't learn Amnesia and Litleo forgets Leer to learn Noble Roar.
We switch the lead to Litleo and fight the enemies in this room offensively. We attack the Bounsweet.
We do no use the Blowback Orbs, See-Trap Orb, Totter Orb or Trapbust Orb.
We drink a Berry Juice after defeating 3 opponents and pick up all items. We take the Eastern exit.

The path we take is as follows:

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon Dungeon Escape

Stepped on a Grimy Trap. A Persim Berry went bad and was tossed out.
Stepped on a Spin Trap. Litleo became confused.
Stepped on a PP Leech Trap. Litleo's Headbutt lost all PP!

The fights:
Spoiler:

Litleo and Mouflon have each leveled up once.
The images state 'Litleo's evasiveness fell 1 stage'. The text version says 'Litleo's evasiveness fell 2 stages.' I didn't realize Sweet Sent lowered evasion by 2 stages when making the images. Should've checked beforehand. Caught it after the images were made and corrected it in the text version though.
We got unlucky with the Poison Powder from Toedscool. Somehow barely escaped losing Litleo due too weird RNG on the cutieflies though...

Pokemon Dungeon Escape - Act 1 - Chapter 21

We arrive in the Eastern room. The Poochyena and Pawniard will come to attack us. The Orthworm is distracted because it's trying to attack the Dottler, but can't reach them. We can skip fighting it for now by not going into the grassy area of the room.

The left Dottler can help us remember moves and the right Dottler can help our Pokemon learn egg moves. We need to defeat the Orthworm to unlock access to their services, but they're safe where they are right now so there's no rush. The third Dottler in the back can be recruited, but we haven't met it's requirement yet.

The Eastern exit leads to a room with 4 hostile Psychic types and 3 hostile Fire types. The Southern exit leads to a room with 3 hostile bug types and 5 hostile Flying types.

1) E) No, don't learn Will-O-Wisp. Likely loses more health using status moves than not. Benefits wild Pokemon significantly more than party members.

2-1) B) Yes, switch to Barboach. Avoids some super-effective Mud-Slaps by switching.

2-2) D) No, don't heal up.

3) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

4-1) B) No, avoid the grassy area and avoid fighting Orthworm for now. Worries about having terrible accuracy. Prefers to return later.

4-2) C) Yes, talk to all three Dottler. Robbed Barboach of most of the best moves over the generations. Learned Earth Power as an egg move in BDSP, Mud Bomb by level up (13) in Sun/Moon, and Magnitude by level up (20) in Sun/Moon. Kept Spark as an egg move, surprisingly. Could upgrade Moufflon's Tackle to Body Slam. Eh. Dares not learn Flare Blitz on Litleo.

5-1) O) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now.

5-2 B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. Not a very big room.

5-3 E) No, don't use the Totter Orb now.

5-4 B) No, don't use the Trapbust Orb now.

6) D) No, don't heal up.

7) B) Pick up only the items that don't result in fighting the Orthworm.

8) L) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the left-southern exit to go deal with the Paldean Wooper.

9-1) A) Yes, go recruit Alolan Meowth. Pick up the Cheri and Oran Berry and fight the Kanto Meowth. Swaps leads to someone not damaged by earlier battles.

9-2) C) Yes, switch to Mouflon.

Tied. Although it does depend a bit on what Fire types will be in the room, we'll have a new Dark type for those Psychic types. I'm leaning more towards joining A).... yeah, I think I'll join A).

9-1) We've picked up the Gold Ribbon required to recruit Alolan Meowth. We can go recruit it after navigating the current room, but before heading to the next room. There is a hostile Kanto Meowth left in that room that could potentially attack us depending on where it is when we enter the room.

D) No, don't go recruit Alolan Meowth.

Looks like we'll be doing the room with Mouflon, who will probably be at full health. A single Kanto Meowth shouldn't pose a problem. I'll join A).

9-2) If we go recruit Alolan Meowth, we can swap our lead for that room. Do we want to swap our lead for Alolan Meowth's room?
A) No, keep Litleo in the lead.
B) Yes, switch to Barboach.
C) Yes, switch to Mouflon. - 2 votes

Spoiler:

We don't teach Litleo Will-O-Wisp via TM. We switch our lead to Barboach and don't heal Litleo up.
We fight the enemies in the room offensively. We avoid the grassy area and avoid fighting Orthworm for now.
We don't use a Blowback Orb now. Neither do we use a See-Trap Orb, Totter Orb or Trapbust Orb now.
We eat an Oran Berry after defeating 2 opponents. We pick up only the items that don't result in fighting the Orthworm.
We take the Eastern Exit after we go recruit Alolan Meowth. We swap our lead to Mouflon for Alolan Meowth's room.

The path we take is as follows:

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon Dungeon Escape

Stepped on a Slow Trap. Barboach's Speed fell drastically.
Stepped on a Sticky Trap. TM026: Drain Punch became sticky and can't be used until it is cleansed.
Stepped on a Blast Trap. Barboach took 12 damage.
The Blue line is the path to the next room after we've gone and recruited Alolan Meowth.

We backtrack to the room with Alolan Meowth to recruit it.

1-1) C) Naughty (+Attack, -Special Defense) Learns better Special moves, on top of a better Special Attack stat. Problem: Only learns physical attacks by level-up (not counting Power Gem by evolution). When are those TMs going to fall into place? Possibly never.

1-2) A) Yes, have Alolan Meowth hold the Black Glasses.

2-1) E) No, don't learn Thunder Wave.

2-2) A) Yes, evolve Alolan Meowth into Alolan Persian. Realized that Alolan Meowth is actually terrible after looking at its stats. Admits Alolan Persian not being much better. Pretty much needs Alolan Persian to get past those Paldean Woopers without losing someone. Besides, who else is going to use it?

3-1) D) No, don't heal up. Presumably unnecessary.

3-2) D) No, don't heal up. See above.

4-1) D) Yes, switch to Alolan Meowth. Dislikes the Fairy attack on Hatenna. Is neither a Fairy type nor particularly strong, at least.

4-2) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

4-3) H) Don't attack any of them unless they attack us. Planned to attack Numel. Realized how much damage Hatenna could do. Saves a berry this way.

5-1) Z) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now. Probably not a bad idea on Magby, if those are being attacked.

5-2) B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. Detects traps with Alolan Meowth/Persian, so no need.

5-3) H) No, don't use the Totter Orb now.

5-4) B) No, don't use the Trapbust Orb now.

6-1) D) No, don't heal up. Plans to only fight Hatenna. Might be a good idea if there is more than that.

6-2) D) No, don't heal up.

7) A) Yes, talk to the Abra.

8) B) Pick up only the items that don't result in fighting the Magby. Loots with impunity with a Dark type in the lead.

9) L) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the right-southern exit. Wants to give Alolan Persian a little more experience before the Paldean Woopers.

10) A) Yes, go heal at the Hot Spring.

Was going to join in on B) in case of any traps being stepped on after we fight the Hatennas... but Alolan Meowth will be in the lead and Dark & Fairy types don't set off traps. Might as well heal via Hot Spring, I guess?

Tied. A choice between some potenntially easy experience for our Dark kitty or clearing out the Paldean Wooper to allow us to reach the room with the third guard candidate I guess?
I don't have a very strong preference, both sound good, but I do kinda wanna finish that side quest. We could still go beat up the Ghost and Psychic types afterward, though we could also fight the Paldean Wooper later.... I think I'll join M).

Pokemon Dungeon Escape - Act 1 - Chapter 23

We arrive back in the room with the Paldean Wooper. The Southern exit leads to a room with 4 hostile Electric types and 3 hostile Fighting types. There are no Pokemon initially hostile to us in the Western room, but we can faintly hear Pokemon arguing over something.

The Paldean Wooper will come attack us when we step into the puddle of water. There is however nothing new we can do in this room without stepping into the water, so we'll have to fight them.

Underestimated Alolan Persian. Forgot about Technician, the Black Glasses, and nature (which was not decided then). Gained damage by switching everyone from perfect IVs (the default for the damage calculator) to zeroes.

Oh. Leveled up the Paldean Woopers. Lost Mud Shot and gained Slam. Hits a little harder with Slam, albeit with the greater miss chance. Makes it safer for the rest of the team.

1-1) B) Yes, forget Scratch. Mainly wants to see if Pay Day does something interesting. Wonders if Fake Out will be detrimental (see: used on other turns besides Turn 1).

1-2) D) Yes, use it on Mouflon. Sees Aqua Tail ahead for Barboach (level 24). Would not be a bad choice, though.

1-3) D) Yes, use it on Mouflon. For better Electro Balls later. Would be okay on Litleo too for Headbutt flinches.

2) A) No, keep Alolan Persian in the lead.

3) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

4-1) O) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now.

4-2) E) No, don't use the Totter Orb now.

4-3) B) No, don't use the Trapbust Orb now. Says detect and avoid traps under Dark type benefits, not destroy. Probably handles that one trap at the very end okay? Definitely prefers it for the 2x2 southern room over this.

5) A) Yes, drink a Berry Juice. Heals up to 50 HP and also heals any status conditions. Expects Poison between Poison Point (maybe) and Poison Tail. Adds up between four enemies and two-shotting everything.

6) A) Pick up all items.

7) A) Take the Western exit. Duh.

Pokemon Dungeon Escape - Act 1 - Chapter 23

The voting results are as follows:

1-1) Alolan Persian wants to learn Power Gem. Forget a move to learn Power Gem?
A) Yes, forget Fake Out.
B) Yes, forget Scratch. - 2 votes
C) Yes, forget Pay Day.
D) Yes, forget Bite.
E) No, don't learn Power Gem.

1-2) We have a Calcium. Do we use the Calcium?
A) Yes, use it on Alolan Persian.
B) Yes, use it on Litleo.
C) Yes, use it on Barboach. - 1 vote
D) Yes, use it on Mouflon. - 1 vote

Tied. I think the Sp. Attack EV's are better off on Mouflon in the short term. I'll join D).

1-3) We have a Carbos. Do we use the Carbos?
A) Yes, use it on Alolan Persian.
B) Yes, use it on Litleo. - 1 vote
C) Yes, use it on Barboach.
D) Yes, use it on Mouflon. - 1 vote

Tied. Mouflon would need a lot of Carbos for it to start being helpful given how slow it is. I think we'd be better off giving it to Litleo atm. I'll join B)

2) Alolan Persian is in the lead. Do we want to swap our lead for this room?
A) No, keep Alolan Persian in the lead.- 1 vote
B) Yes, switch to Litleo.
C) Yes, switch to Barboach. - 1 vote
D) Yes, switch to Mouflon.

Tied. They can have Water Absorb and Mud-Slap is pretty weak. Alolan Persian has higher stats atm.
With Barboach we could potentially be stuck using low damage Mud-Slap against 1 or more of them and Alolan Persian's attacks will likely hit harder if any of them do have Water Absorb.
I'd side with Barboach if it had a better Ground type attack, but atm I'll side with Alolan Persian and join A).

3) How do we fight any enemies in this room?
A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. - 2 votes

G) Yes, use both Blowback Orbs on the right 17 Paldean Wooper.

I) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the right level 18 Paldean Wooper and one on the left level 18 Paldean Wooper.

O) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now. - 2 votes

4-2) Do we use the Totter Orb in this room?
A) Yes, use the Totter Orb on the right level 18 Paldean Wooper.
B) Yes, use the Totter Orb on the left level 18 Paldean Wooper.
C) Yes, use the Totter Orb on the right level 17 Paldean Wooper.
D) Yes, use the Totter Orb on the left level 17 Paldean Wooper.
E) No, don't use the Totter Orb now. - 2 votes

4-3) The Trapbust Orb destroys all traps in the current room. Do we use the Trapbust Orb in this room?
A) Yes, use the Trapbust Orb. - 1 vote
B) No, don't use the Trapbust Orb now. - 1 vote

Tied. Well I already sided with Alolan Persian which will avoid the trap on the way into the room at least. I'll join B).
Could still trigger it on the way out if we switch leads next week though, but it's just a Slow trap from the looks.

5) We can heal after defeating 2 opponents. Should we heal?
A) Yes, drink a Berry Juice. Heals up to 50 HP and also heals any status conditions. - 1 vote
B) Yes, Eat an Oran Berry. Heals up to 100 HP.
C) Yes, Eat a Sitrus Berry. Heals up to 250 HP.
D) No, don't heal up. - 1 vote

Tied. From what I remember Barboach had a rough time against the lone Paldean Wooper. Should probably heal up in between. I'll join A).

6) What do we do with the items in this room?
A) Pick up all items. - 2 votes
B) Pick up only the berries.
C) Pick up only the Berry Juice.
D) Pick up only the Yellow Shard.

F) Go back to the Large Forest room and take the upper Eastern exit. (we'll have to fight the Nymble on the way)
G) Go back to the Large Forest room and take the middle Eastern exit.
H) Go back to the Large Forest room and take the lower Eastern exit.
I) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the upper Western exit to the room with 5 hostile Ground types and 2 hostile Normal types.
J) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the left Northern exit and then go to the room with 5 hostile Ground types and 2 hostile Normal types. (we'll have to fight the Magby on the way)
K) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the right-Northern exit.
L) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the lower-Eastern exit.
M) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the right-southern exit.

Spoiler:

Alolan Persian forgets Scratch in order to learn Power Gem. We use the Calcium on Mouflon and the Carbos on Litleo.
We keep Alolan Persian in the lead and fight the enemies in the room offensively.
We don't use any Blowback Orbs, nor the Totter Orb or Trapburst Orb.
We drink a Berry Juice to heal after defeating 2 opponents. We pick up all items and take the Western exit.

The path we take is as follows:

The fights:
Spoiler:

As for how Pay Day works. Given that shards are the currency in this game, if Pay Day is used it guarantees a shard drop even if I didn't roll an item drop for the Pokemon we beat.
If the Pokemon we beat did already have an item drop, but it isn't a shard, it will drop a shard in addition to whatever that item is.
If the Pokemon we beat already dropped a shard it will drop two shards if Pay day is used once, three if Pay Day is used twice, and caps out at four if Pay Day is used three times.
35% chance for the shard to be Green, 35% chance for the shard to be Yellow, 20% chance for the shard to be Red and 10% for it to be Blue.

As for Fake Out, I flip a coin on the first turn, unless the opponent is a Ghost type. If heads, we use Fake Out. If tails we don't use Fake Out. If our Pokemon has a STAB move that's also super effective on the opponent, the coin flip will be ignored and that move used instead. Neither our Pokemon nor any opponents will try to use Fake Out if it isn't the first turn in the fight.

Pokemon Dungeon Escape - Act 1 - Chapter 24

As we arrive in the Western room we can hear what the Pokemon here are arguing about.

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon Dungeon Escape

The Hisuian Lilligant has a request for us.

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon Dungeon Escape

We can recruit any of the Squawkabilly in this room by fighting alongside it against the other Squawkabilly (in a 2 vs 3).

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon Dungeon Escape

A) No, keep Alolan Persian in the lead.
B) Yes, switch to Litleo.
C) Yes, switch to Barboach.
D) Yes, switch to Mouflon.

The Hisuian Lilligant will be willing to hear us out about Torterra's request once the Squawkabilly's continuous bickering ends. She requests we beat 3 of them so that she can firmly communicate her lack of interest in any of them to the remaining one, in order to get them to leave her alone in the future. Which one remains does not matter to her.
We can recruit one of the Squawkabilly if we help it defeat the other Squawkabilly.

2-1) Do we fight the Squawkabilly and if so do we help any of them?
A) Help the Blue Squawkabilly beat the other Squawkabilly.
B) Help the White Squawkabilly beat the other Squawkabilly.
C) Help the Yellow Squawkabilly beat the other Squawkabilly.
D) Help the Green Squawkabilly beat the other Squawkabilly.

B) Balanced; Uses both Attacking moves as well as non-attacking moves. Prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. Uses attacking moves 66% of the time on average.
C) Defensively. Only attacks once every 3 turns. Uses the other two turns for non-attacking moves.

2-3) If we sided with one of the Squawkabillys, do we recruit it?
A) Yes, recruit the Squawkabilly we sided with.
B) No, don't recruit a Squawkabilly.

3) If we beat 3 of the Squawkabilly so that Lilligant can firmly voice her lack of interest in dating any of them, she'll give us the rewards she mentioned (and we'll also earn 15 Team Reputation) and will be willing to hear us out about Torterra's guard request. Do we talk to Lilligant about the open guard position at the merchant stand?
A) Accept the reward for helping her deal with the Squawkabilly and don't mention the merchant stand Guard position at all (If chosen we can't pick Lilligant as a guard anymore later on).
B) Accept the reward for helping her deal with the Squawkabilly and mention that Torterra is looking for a Guard for the merchant stand, but that you haven't decided yet who it will be (Keeps Lilligant as a guard candidate and lets us go back to Breloom or Roserade to pick them as the guard).
C) Accept the reward for helping her deal with the Squawkabilly and mention that Torterra is looking for a Guard for the merchant stand and tell Lilligant to head for the merchant stand (Choose Lilligant as the guard).

1) D) Yes, switch to Mouflon. Electric versus Normal/Flying, not to mention best Hitpoints and Defense.

2-1) D) Help the Green Squawkabilly beat the other Squawkabilly. Acquires the same regular abilities.

2-2) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

2-3) A) Yes, recruit the Squawkabilly we sided with. Hopes for an Intimidate one, and not a Hustle one. Admits not being super jazzed about the Normal exploration ability (extra hostile Pokemon and extra Berry drops). Gets pretty dicey sometimes.

3) B) Accept the reward for helping her deal with the Squawkabilly and mention that Torterra is looking for a Guard for the merchant stand, but that you haven't decided yet who it will be (Keeps Lilligant as a guard candidate and lets us go back to Breloom or Roserade to pick them as the guard).

4-1) O) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now.

4-2) C) Yes, use the Totter Orb on the Yellow Squawkabilly. Looks kind of dangerous, especially in a 2v3. Base 96 Attack and maybe Hustle? Hits for 35-45% of Moufflon's health on a Hustle, non-Intimidated 5-hit Fury Attack (not including criticals). Should be a little safe here, despite the type advantage.

4-3) B) No, don't use the Trapbust Orb now.

5) D) No, don't heal up. Fights nothing else in this room.

6) A) Pick up all items.

7) A) Go back to the previous room and take the Southern exit. For the next quest.

Tied. Having one of the three opponents confused could make the fight easier for us. I'll join C).

4-3) The Trapbust Orb destroys all traps in the current room. Do we use the Trapbust Orb in this room?
A) Yes, use the Trapbust Orb.

Spoiler:

We switch our lead to Mouflon. We help the White Squawkabilly beat the other Squawkabilly, fight any enemies in this room offensively, and recruit the Squawkabilly we sided with.
We accept the reward for helping the Lilligant deal with the Squawkabilly and mention that Torterra is looking for a Guard for the merchant stand, but that we haven't decided yet who it will be.
We do not use the Blowback Orbs or the Trapbust Orb, but do use the Totter Orb on the Yellow Squawkabilly. We eat an Oran Berry after the Squawkabilly fight to heal and we pick up all items in this room. We go back to the previous room and take the Southern exit.

The path we take is as follows:

Stepped on a Mud Trap. Mouflon's Sp. Defense was harshly lowered.
Stepped on a Slow Trap on the way to the next room. Mouflon's Speed drastically fell.

Pokemon Dungeon Escape - Act 1 - Chapter 25

We arrive in the room South of our previous room. The Western exit leads to a room with 5 hostile ghost types. The upper Eastern exit leads to a room with 2 hostile Normal types and 2 hostile Psychic types. The lower Eastern and upper Southern exits lead to the same room which has no Pokemon that are hostile to us. The lower Southern exit leads to a room with 2 hostile Dragon types.

8-1) After navigating the current room, but before heading to the next one, we can go heal at the Hot Spring. Should we heal?
A) Yes, go heal at the Hot Spring.
B) No, don't heal at the Hot Spring

8-2) After navigating the current room, but before heading to the next one, we can go tell one of the Guard candidates that we've picked them. We've talked to all three candidates, have unlocked the bonus reward, and can freely pick between the three candidates. Do we pick a guard for the merchant stand?
A) Go tell Roserade that we've picked her to be the new guard for the merchant stand.
B) Go tell Breloom that we've picked him to be the new guard for the merchant stand.
C) Go tell Lilligant that we've picked her to be the new guard for the merchant stand.

Quick rundown of opponents:
Mankey: Swagger, Seismic Toss, Low Kick, Fury Swipes. Base 80 Attack and 70 Speed
Electrike: Shock Wave, Quick Attack, Howl, Leer. Base 65 Special Attack, 45 Attack, and 65 Speed.
Clobbopus: Detect, Bind, Feint, Leer. Base 68 Attack and 32 Speed.
_______

1-1) B) Adamant (+Attack, -Sp. Attack) Two good choices here. Could make a case for Defense for a little more survivability. Seems best as a hard, fast hitter. Who needs Defense when you smash them immediately?

1-2) D) No, don't heal up. Heads to the Hot Spring after this. Should not come in against Electric types, ideally.

2-1) C) Yes, use it on Barboach. Suits someone slow best.

2-2) A) Yes, use it on Mouflon. See above comment.

2-3) F) No, don't have anyone hold it now. Zero Grass moves, at present.

2-4) E) No, don't teach Litleo Acrobatics. Initially figured "why not?". Is not great, though. Hits Fighting, Bug, and Grass super-effectively. Should not be fighting Fighting-types. Already hits Bug and Grass with Fire.

3-1) A) No, keep Mouflon in the lead. Not ideal with the -2 Special Defense. Falls to either Moufflon or Barboach.

3-2) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

3-3) B) No, don't attack the Togedemaru. Would have been easy pickings with Barboach (Thunder Shock, Charge, Defense Curl, and Tackle, although 98 base Attack). Passes with all this combat and not using Barboach.

4-1) F) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the Mankey. Dislikes its moves.

4-2) B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now.

4-3) A) Yes, use the Trapbust Orb. If not now, when?

5-1) B) Yes, Eat an Oran Berry. Heals up to 100 HP.

5-2) D) No, don't heal up. Only plans to fight six. No point in spending an item.

6) A) Pick up all items. Ooh, Burning Jealousy. Not bad for...Alolan Persian?

7) D) Take the upper Southern exit Picks this one in case of not fighting Clobbopus.

8-1) A) Yes, go heal at the Hot Spring. Duh.

8-2) A) Go tell Roserade that we've picked her to be the new guard for the merchant stand. Planned to turn in the Smoliv quest in a few rooms, but sure, why not now? Already stuck the highest level in front, in terms of experience. Witnessed Roserade actually guarding and fighting, despite being the only non-Fighting type, ironically. Did Breloom or Lilligant help in combat? No.

Counter-argument for Lilligant: the least attached to others outside the outpost. Does not need to look after Shroomish or Budew. (Still prefers Roserade.)

Pokemon Dungeon Escape - Act 1 - Chapter 25

The voting results are as follows:

1-1) Squawkabilly's stats are according to a neutral nature pending what we vote for it. Which of the following natures does our newly recruited Squawkabilly have?
A) Lonely (+Attack, -Defense)
B) Adamant (+Attack, -Sp. Attack) - 2 votes
C) Impish (+Defense, -Sp. Attack)

B) Yes, Eat an Oran Berry. Heals up to 100 HP. - 1 vote
C) Yes, Eat a Sitrus Berry. Heals up to 250 HP.
D) No, don't heal up. - 1 vote

Tied. We'll be healing after this room and I don't think any of our opponents can force a switch. Squawkabilly is also the last one in the party so 4 others would have to faint before it gets into danger. I'll join D).

B) Yes, use it on Litleo.
C) Yes, use it on Barboach. - 1 vote
D) Yes, use it on Alolan Persian. - 1 vote
E) Yes, use it on Squawkabilly.
F) No, don't use it now.

Tied. Both could make use of it. Whiscash seems like a better candidate for a tank, once/if Barboach reaches that. I'll join C).

A) Yes, use it on Mouflon. - 2 votes
B) Yes, use it on Litleo.

A) No, keep Mouflon in the lead. - 2 votes
B) Yes, switch to Litleo.
C) Yes, switch to Barboach.
D) Yes, switch to Alolan Persian.
E) Yes, switch to Squawkabilly.

3-2) How do we fight any enemies in this room?
A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. - 2 votes
B) Balanced; Uses both Attacking moves as well as non-attacking moves. Prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. Uses attacking moves 66% of the time on average.

E) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 18 Electrike.
F) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the Mankey. - 1 vote
G) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the Togedemaru.
H) Yes, use both Blowback Orbs on the level 17 Clobbopus.
I) Yes, use both Blowback Orbs on the level 19 Clobbopus.
J) Yes, use both Blowback Orbs on the level 16 Electrike.
K) Yes, use both Blowback Orbs on the level 17 Electrike.
L) Yes, use both Blowback Orbs on the level 18 Electrike.
M) Yes, use both Blowback Orbs on the Mankey.
N) Yes, use both Blowback Orbs on the Togedemaru.
O) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 17 Clobbopus and the level 19 Clobbopus.
P) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 17 Clobbopus and the level 16 Electrike.
Q) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 17 Clobbopus and the level 17 Electrike.
R) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 17 Clobbopus and the level 18 Electrike.
S) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 17 Clobbopus and the Mankey.
T) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 17 Clobbopus and the Togedemaru.
U) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 19 Clobbopus and the level 16 Electrike.
V) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 19 Clobbopus and the level 17 Electrike.
W) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 19 Clobbopus and the level 18 Electrike.
X) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 19 Clobbopus and the Mankey.
Y) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 19 Clobbopus and the Togedemaru.
Z) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now. - 1 vote

Tied. Would actually have preferred tossing both of them at the Mankey. I'm fairly confident we can take the others, but the Mankey has me a bit nervous. I'll join F).

4-2 A See-Trap Orb reveals all traps in the current room and the lead Pokemon will avoid stepping on them if possible. Do we use a See-Trap Orb in this room?
A) Yes, use a See-Trap Orb. - 1 vote
B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. -1 vote

Tied. Using both would be a waste so I either have to join the See-Trap Orb or the Trapbust Orb. I consider the Trapbust Orb more valuable and would prefer to hang on to it atm tbh. I'll join A).

4-3) The Trapbust Orb destroys all traps in the current room. Do we use the Trapbust Orb in this room?
A) Yes, use the Trapbust Orb. - 1 vote
B) No, don't use the Trapbust Orb now. - 1 vote

Tied. See above @ 4-2). I'll join B).

5-1) We can heal after beating 3 opponents. Should we heal?
A) Yes, drink a Berry Juice. Heals up to 50 HP and also heals any status conditions.
B) Yes, Eat an Oran Berry. Heals up to 100 HP. - 2 votes
C) Yes, Eat a Sitrus Berry. Heals up to 250 HP.
D) No, don't heal up.

5-2) We can heal after beating 6 opponents. Should we heal?
A) Yes, drink a Berry Juice. Heals up to 50 HP and also heals any status conditions.
B) Yes, Eat an Oran Berry. Heals up to 100 HP. - 1 vote
C) Yes, Eat a Sitrus Berry. Heals up to 250 HP.
D) No, don't heal up. - 1 vote

Tied. We're using a See-Trap Orb so we'll be able to avoid any traps that aren't in a 1 space passage. Could still get unlucky with trap placement like say in the passage to the TM.
We'll probably end up fighting the Mankey as either our third or fourth opponent. I think I'll be safe here and join B).

6) What do we do with the items in this room?
A) Pick up all items. - 1 vote
B) Pick up only the items that don't require fighting the second Clobbopus. - 1 vote
C) Pick up only the HP Up.
D) Pick up only the shards.
E) Pick up only the Slumber Orb.

J) Pick up the HP Up and the Oran Berry.
K) Pick up the HP Up and the Burning Jealousy TM.
L) Pick up the shards and the Slumber Orb.
M) Pick up the shards and the Oran Berry.
N) Pick up the shards and the Burning Jealousy TM.
O) Pick up the Slumber Ob and the Oran Berry.
P) Pick up the Slumber Orb and the Burning Jealousy TM.
Q) Pick up the Oran Berry and the Burning Jealousy TM.

Y) Pick up the shards, the Oran Berry and the Burning Jealousy TM.
Z) Pick up the Burning Jealousy TM, the Slumber Orb and the Oran Berry.

Tied. I'm not that worried about the Clobbopus tbh. I'll join A).

7) Which exit do we take?
A) Take the Western exit.
B) Take the upper Eastern exit.
C) Take the lower Eastern exit. - 1 vote
D) Take the upper Southern exit. - 1 vote
E) Take the lower Southern exit.
F) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the upper Eastern exit and go to the room with 3 hostile Bug types and 5 hostile Flying types.
G) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the upper Eastern exit and go to the room with 3 hostile Poison types, 3 hostile Flying types and 1 hostile Rock type.

N) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the right-Northern exit.
O) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the lower-Eastern exit.
P) Go back to the room with Roserade in it and take the right-southern exit.

Tied. We'll be fighting the second Clobbopus so might as well join C).

Note: upper Southern exit is the exit to the right of the level 17 electrike. Lower Eastern exit is the exit below the level 19 Clobbopus.

8-1) After navigating the current room, but before heading to the next one, we can go heal at the Hot Spring. Should we heal?
A) Yes, go heal at the Hot Spring. - 2 votes
B) No, don't heal at the Hot Spring

8-2) After navigating the current room, but before heading to the next one, we can go tell one of the Guard candidates that we've picked them. C) Go tell Lilligant that we've picked her to be the new guard for the merchant stand.
D) Decide who the new guard will be later on. - 1 vote

Tied. I found myself leaning towards the Roserade. I'll join A).

We're only notifying & locking in the candidate btw. The quest has to be turned in to Torterra after picking a candidate.

Spoiler:

Our newly recruited Squawkabilly has an Adamant nature. We don't heal Squawkabilly now.
We use the Iron on Barboach and the Zinc on Mouflon. We don't have anyone hold the Miracle Seed. We do not teach Litleo Acrobatics via TM.
We keep Mouflon in the lead and fight any enemies in this room offensively. We don't attack the Togedemaru.
We use a Blowback Orb on the Mankey and use the See-Trap Orb. We do not use the Trapbust Orb now.
We eat an Oran Berry to heal after beating 3 opponents as well as after beating 6 opponents. We pick up all items and take the lower Eastern exit.
After navigating the current room, but before heading to the next one, we go heal at the Hot Spring and we go tell Roserade that we've picked her to be the new guard for the merchant stand.

The path we take is as follows:

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon Dungeon Escape

The See-Trap Orb revealed all traps in this room permanently! Mouflon altered it's path to avoid the Mud trap, Seal trap, Blast trap and Gust trap.
Stepped on a Spin Trap while going around Togedemaru for the TM. Mouflon is now confused... until we go to the Hot Spring shortly after anyway, lol

PSA, for if anyone's wondering what the exact differences are between the See-Trap Orb, the Trapbust Orb and the Dark/Fairy type exploration bonus.
-The Dark/Fairy type trap detection only works while they are in the lead. If we enter the room with them and switch to another lead with a different type, the replacement will not try to avoid whatever traps the Dark/Fairy type saw that might be in their path. The Dark/Fairy type needs to actually explore the room to see and ignore the traps. Any traps they pass over will not go off, but can still go off later on, if another party member passes over them at a later point in time.
-The See-Trap Orb permanently reveals traps in the current room and all party members will try to avoid them, but a trap can still be rolled in a position that may be unavoidable on the lead's path through the room.
-The Trapbust Orb just destroys all traps in the current room, revealing them and making them unable to go off at all.

Sheesh. Underestimated the Clobbopus. Chose to be super annoying.

1-1) C) Yes, use it on Barboach. Bulked up its Defenses. Why not Hitpoints too? Good on anyone slow, though.

1-2) C) Yes forget Pay Day. Sees little point on using it on Pyroar one day. Evolves at 35. Learns Flamethrower 3 levels after that. Could make an argument for Salandit after re-recruiting. Picks up Incinerate at level 30, though.

2) D) Yes, switch to Alolan Persian. In case of a trap.

3) A) Yes, talk to the Abra.

4-1) B) Yes, talk to the Smoliv and tell it that their brother was worried about it and asked you to check in on it. Then inquire further about why it remains here, despite looking like it rather wouldn't stay here.

4-2) A) Yes, talk to Gurdurr and accept it's quest. Probably related to the above.

5) A) Talk to Hawlucha to find out it's recruitment requirement. Definitely feels interested in a very strong Pokemon (and one capable of smashing rocks).

6) A) Pick up all items.

7) A) Go back to the previous room and take the Western exit. Should be a good match-up for Alolan Persian.

C) Yes, use it on Barboach. - 1 vote
D) Yes, use it on Alolan Persian.
E) Yes, use it on Squawkabilly.
F) No, don't use it now.

Tied. I feel like Mouflon could use it more atm. I'll join A).

Pyroar can learn it too, but not Litleo for some reason.

Tied. Hmm... I'd kinda prefer it on a Fire type tbh. It's also got low PP.
Then again... how useful will Pay Day be? Will probably get like 1 or 2 bonus shards on average in a room that has multiple enemies, if it even uses the move at all. On the plus side; Pay Day gets boosted by Technician whereas Burning Jealousy will not....
I think I'll join C).

Tied. I'll join D) for the choice I made in breaking the tie in the vote for 7).

P) Go back to the merchant stand.

Tied. Well... we'll be stepping on a trap Persian showed us if we go to the room with 2 hostile Steel types and 2 hostile Rock types, on our way through the room before it. We might also end up fighting one or both of the Magby in that room depending on where in the room they are currently. I'd kinda prefer a better Ground move on Barboach before going to that room though. hmm...
That said we do no fighting in our current room, and if I join Alolan Persian in the tie for the party lead vote we can avoid triggering the trap, and I think Persian should be able to handle 1 or 2 Magby. Yes, I think I'll join D).
