Lets start this discussion off, shall we? What do you guys think of all the new Pokémon introduced in generation five? Love 'em or hate 'em?
I love the vast majority of B/W Pokemon. The only B/W Pokemon I can't stand are:
-Crimgan, because of its horrible design and color scheme. It has poor Speed as well.
-Maggyo. Just look at it!
-Baruchai/Barujiina because not only are they ugly, IMO, they have bad offenses.

The B/W Pokemon that I really like are:
-Excadrill: It looks like Neo-Spacian Grand Mole from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. It also tears through most Pokemon in a sandstorm.
-Daikenki, because of the swords hidden in its arms
-Sazandora, because it reminds me of a darker version of Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon
-Reshiram and Zekrom: They remind me of Blue Eyes White Dragon and Red Eyes B. Dragon respectively.
-Archeos: It may have a bad ability, but it's got good offenses.

Most of the pokemon I love, but some of them do not appeal to me. The Dokkora family; ehh I have no idea what the creators were aiming for.

What about the Tesshiido family?

I absolutely love them :D
I Dokkora family remembers me of Circus Clown Construction Works on steroids. That is what I felt they were going for. I believe what the were going for was a combo between the strongman at the carnival, a clown, and a construction worker. Personally I like the family, but what I don't like is them holding objects. But then again Farfetch'd goes around carrying a Stick. As for Tesshiido Family then are indeed like Pineco v.2, and that is in a good way. It all seems to have the same stat qualities about it being that they are both Walls.

My 3 favourite B/W Pokemon are:

Doredia or Liligant is probably my favourite. It is just so cute and to me looks very good. It is a definite Pokemon on my B/W Team.

Tabunne or Audino is another favourite Pokemon. At first I didn't really like it until I saw its tail! Its tail reminds me of whipped cream and makes Tabunne look so much cuter.

Shanderaa or Chandelure is one of my favourites it just looks so awesome and is super powerful to.

One of the Pokemon I can't understand though is Furiijio.

There are a lot of normal type Pokemon that I actually like in Generation 5 besides Wargle.

Tabunne is such a cute normal type Pokemon and so is Minccino. Shanderaa is just amazing. It reminds me of Rotom but cooler.

The first two you mention I like, but what I don't like is how people hate on them because they say they are just like Bellossom and Chansey or worse verisons of them. IMO Doredia looks more elegant that Bellossom, it seems like one of the most detailed people from this generation or any for that matter. As for Tubunne I absolutely loved it during its appearances in the anime, were I seem to get a greater feel for the pokemon. At first I wasn't incredibly high on it, but now it has grown on me. As I said in one of my earlier posts its supposed to represent snowflakes and ice crystals. As it is more evident looking at it's back sprite.

Well I haven't been studying the new Pokémon as diligently as the people here so I may have trouble understanding what people are talking about, but I AM LOVING THE NEW DRAGONS. :D
Other than that I have mixed opinions on most of the non-legendary Pokémon . . . some of them don't even really look like Pokémon to me, but I'm sure I'll warm up to them without much time as I have with other generations. After all a lot of Pokémon don't look right when they first come out but we always adjust to the idea of them.

My own person hell-yeahs:

Emonga, first and foremost. It is not only phenomenally adorable (I would expect no less from one such as it :D), but I have always been waiting for a Pokémon like this! Flying squirrel has seriously been the first thing on my mind whenever I used to think of "what new Pokémon do we need?". Just a real amazing advancement there. Thank you Pokémon Company. <3

Reuniclus. Certainly a popular one . . . it's just so gooey and cool-looking . . . and I love its abilities! xD Can't wait to use it.

Bachuru/Denchura. Less by virtue of the Pokémon itself and more just because I've always wanted a Bug/Electric-type Pokémon. Don't ask me why. It's a nice combination. ^^

Shibirudon and family. OOH GURL. Shock me like an electric eeeeel. xD Seriously though, I love electric fish, especially these. Its offensive stats and lack of weaknesses (finally we can have this without the whole Sableye/Spiritomb type combo) just push it over the edge. What strikes me most though is the appearance of Shibishirasu, with the red star on its nose and . . . omg just such a perfect little fish. :D I'll have to use it in my party.

Hitomoshi. It's sooooo cute. ;w; Disregard the fact I love the type combo and really want to use its evolution. I just love a Pokémon that looks like a melting candle. <3

I could probably prattle on for a while here but let's just leave it there. :D

Shinpora lost my love a long time ago. I fear it more than I hate it. It looks like its going to pop out of my screen and chew my face off ;~;

Shinbora looks weird to me.

At first, I thought Tesshiido and Nattorei were rip-offs of Pineco and Forretress, but I grew attached to them after using Nattorei in Pokemon Online. Man, it can take hits better than Forretress can. It also reminds me of a spiky UFO.

If Team Rocket wasn't all serious in Best Wishes, I can see James with them (Tesshiido/Nattorei being called out, and then that Pokemon going back and hugging him out of affection, unaware that they're hurting James in the process).

So many people like Reuniclus and I have no idea why. D: Gothitelle is clearly the better choice, design wise at least. It reminds me of a more Gothic looking Gardevoir. I also prefer its stat distribution over Reuniclus too.

To be honest, I thought nothing of Reuniclus at first.
It really grew on me, especially after I learned it was part of an evolution line, and now it's one of my favorites. The fact that it's a beast in the metagame shot my love for
Reuniclus to the moon. I think it's so widely admired because it has that "Cute, but not pathetic", "Strong, but not Burly" look to it.

Spoiler:

...But it looks like those nasty green Jello salads. I'm just lost on where all this appeal is coming from.

I found Reuniclus unique because it's a homunculus. It reminds me of a gummy bear for some reason.

Even though I love Reunculis, I have to admit that I feel the same way . I just can't understand why everybody loves some of these Pokemon. Anyone care to fill me about what's so wonderful about these two hideous creatures? The first one isn't too bad, but Zuzurukin might just be my least favorite Pokemon of the generation. Is it the pants? The Mohawk? Maybe it's the simplicity?

Oh, I like that evolution line. Really cute. xD Unfortunately I have to disagree with you on the whole stat distribution thing. In fact I've always thought having a Speed stat like 65 is a total waste of stat distribution because it's not enough to really be worth anything for the Pokémon but enough to bring up their total so that the other stats tend to be lower. :( And Reuniclus just sticks out to me because it's Special Attack is so high, whereas Gothitelle is kind of equalised so it has no real strengths.
And above all, Jello-Pokémon are the best kind! D: Did you forget Ditto?

Oh, I didn't like those two for the longest time! I never understood what they were suppose to be until I began looking them up and found out that some of their basis is on urban youth subcultures. Then once I pieced it all together I couldn't help thinking of what a creative Pokemon line they were.

I prefer the higher defenses of Gothitelle compared to Reuniclus's high special attack. Even though Gothitelle's special attack is lower it's still workable, for me at least!

I hate Jello. D: Ditto looks more like Silly Putty to me than anything else.

B/W Pokemon, eh? The ones I adore the most are Snivy, Oshawott and Hitomoshi.

I started liking Oshawott mainl because of the Anime. Snivy, because of general awesomeness, and well, I have some sort of attachment towards grass type Pokemon. Hitomoshi is just adorable. :> It's shiny form with a neon blue flame looks amazing!

Reuniclus looks good too, I might like it sometime while playing the game. I often mistook it for a grass type Pokemon because of the light green colouring.
And no, I did not chose my username because of its ability. XD

I love almost every single new Pokemon...except Crimgan.

My favorite stat? Hrmmm....probably Special Attack.
This is because most ghost type moves are special.

Aha I should have guessed you were a Ghost enthusiast. :P Gengar is amazing. Like most trade evolutions . . . I guess they just want you to work a little for a really good second-evolution Pokémon. :P

Yeah, look at Alakazam!
I guess that I love ghosts so much because of the anime. I loved the Lavender Town episode where Ash gets to be a ghost.
And I thought Haunter was so hilarious!
And don't forget that time that Team Rocket were all hanging from a building, about to fall...Haunter shows up, makes silly faces at Jessie until she finally laughs, and they all fall off.

AHEM! So yeah, special attack...

Are we supposed to use the sprites in our posts or is that just a fun thing to do? Anyway, I have a few favorites out of the new bunch.

They finally gave us a proper sea turtle and it's cute. And in my opinion the ghost lamp is the best in its line. Not too simple or too ornate. I love that it has two little glowing eyes and a hat. Actually, now that I think about it, its design looks an awful lot like Baltoy's.
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon General Daily Chit-Chat

Doesn't it?

As a side note, at my work today I met someone with the last name Celebi. I also saw a license plate that read "ONIX" last week.

That's hilarious! You know you're a Pokenerd when you start seeing Pokemon everywhere! XD

And I agree, it looks very much like Baltoy. Both are really cool Pokemon too. I like the ghost lamp better, but I bet you're not surprised.
