Here are a couple maps i whipped up real quick. not close to done, as there are many errors

first of all, you you use the formal application form?
secondly, you have a huge number of tile errors. the puddles don't suit the bridges and the beach gets cut off.
the whole thing's got too much space and it's just too square
and when you do a remake, you make it so that people don't know it's one.

well, the gym is out of proportion, there's more than one exit at the top of the map. and there are so so many tile errors.
seriously.
again, these maps need a serious re-work if you're going to be considered as a mapper.



and this one's abismal. LOOK AT ALL THE TILE ERRORS!
it's really overcrowded, you even have lava tiles in there o_O
the ledges are screwed up,the caves don't work with everything else on the map.



oh and also use the inbuilt map image capture that advance map has, rather than putting a screen capture into paint or another image editor and cropping it.

i would also recommend spending some time in the maps rating thread as well.
oh and don't use the super massive font either.



anyways, to G.K.S., i haven't quite worked out what i'm gonna do wiv the cave, but i shall post it here later.
EDIT: screw that. i'll make one when you give me the hack and i'll send you the updated patch.
i've just had a miraculous brainstorm of ideas for caves...that's all. lol.

lol i said on the top, theres many errors, i dont care that they know , im not using them to make a hack, just to fool around. :D

Actually he did use the formal application (kind of) he sent it to me on a PM. Wait, are you making that for your hack or for mine? I'm confused.

You could be a mapper too. Did you do all the tile yourself too? I will sent you the password and address to the "staff" email account right now. I still have to update the rom in the link so don't worry about it now.

I'm going to give both of you assignments as soon as I confirm what we really need in the hack. I just mapped a huge town and I will ask Sirwillis to do another town and a semi-town thing and Stevey to do two routes.

I will explain what it should look like tomorrow. Ok?

because i've just been through some youtube tutorials and have so many more ideas which i'd really love to see in this hack.
anyways, what sort of towns will i be making then?
 
Yeah, you could be the lead mapper, you the most for this hack than any other member, other than me.

umm, i was also thinking. those tree tiles in that new route screenshot...well...they need some kind of vamping so that they don't look as much out of place, like perhaps a darker shadow or something, yeh?
they look good, and i'm very impressed. but i am still not sure about the pallette, but that can be sorted out later.
overall, very good!
god darn i can't wait for my plushies to hatch ;D
 
Could you make a route instead? How about you change route 6 into a creative (good looking) route. First clear it out then leave some space for connections from the bottom of the map. I will do the connections myself. I will update a patch in the account.

yeh ok, do you only want downwards connections? or do you want left/right/up as well?

take a look at the hack showcase and i'm pretty sure you'll be able to see which tiles we're using.

Leave space for downward connection only right now, I have to add many thing to the route after you are done mapping it so i will do the connection along with it.

no, because the patch automatically adds it into the ROM.
so you don't need to worry about it.

edit: oh and stevey poo, only you or a moderator can delete your posts :P
just clik the edit post then go advanced and then check the delete box
and i removed the images of them from my post as well, if you're still not sure :P

although, it is alrite to use his tiles if you ask him permission first, and i don't see why he wouldn't say no :P
he's really nice, so don't be afraid to ask him

i think he was being picked on because he had used zel's tiles, and he wanted me to delete his post.

He should just say that those are Zel's tiles, after all he did not use the tiles on anyone's hack, he just show his mapping, right.

I have my own tile, I don't need anyone else's. I got some from Aoh Nay, as long as I give him credit there is nothing wrong with it. I made my own grass, but it was not that good, but I'm using it.
