Welcome. This is the portal that leads you to the world of Pokémon. Beyond this gateway, many new adventures and fresh experiences await your arrival. Only Pokémon inhabit this world. There are no trainers, nor will there be in the course of this roleplay. Be strong, stay smart. And be victorious!

You are a Pokémon that has been somehow ended up in the village of Pokémon Plaza, and fairly recently, you achieved your goal of joining the Plaza Adventurers League. The guild is... a bit less... official than some of its counterparts, largely in part due to its founder, a peculier Normal/Dragon type Pokémon called Drampa, and his right-hand and secretary (also not so secretly the guy who does all the official buisness while Drampa sleeps for 18 hours a day), Toucannon. The guild aims to educate and train young Pokémon into becoming full-fledged Explorers; Pokémon that are fit to go into Mystery Dungeons, carry out quests and rescues and sometimes even explore completely new areas.

Guild Regulations:
1. Follow all PC and RPC rules.
2. This RP is rated T, meaning you will have to restrict violence, gore and romance to a mild level.
3. Be fair, nice and respectful towards other players. This also implies no godmodding, bunnying without permission, or anything of the sort.
4. Please try to stay active, and consult the GM's if anything is amiss.
5. Have fun!

A ONE, A TWO...A ONE-TWO-THREE
ONE! DON'T SHIRK WORK!
TWO! RUN AWAY AND PAY!
THREE! SMILES GO FOR MILES!

Pokémon Plaza

In PMD: An Amazing Adventure, players will be travelling on a grand quest across the World for adventure and discovery. The Guild will always return home to Pokémon Plaza after an expidition, where they can shop, mingle, and make friends with the local Pokémon. Below is a description of the various places and their functions.

Spoiler:

Mystery Dungeons:

Mystery Dungeons are a unique phenomenon that somehow causes random locations in the world to be completely randomized whenver one enters. Meaning that you can find new loot every time you go in, but also that the layout of the floors may be completely different. It is because of this that adventure guilds are so popular, and these are where you will be doing most of your adventuring! A list of the known Mystery Dungeons will be saved here.

Mechanics:

This story will occur in Arcs, starting with the player characters joining the guild as new recruits. The guild will generally have a set task that it needs to achieve every arc, this can be considered the main quest, while occasionally missions not related to the main quest of that arc might arise. These will be side quests of sorts, which will have no real bearing on the story, but will likely have good loot and will likely be a great way to develop characters.

"Ashe"

team_litten_by_cheetahamsloth-da26nj3_zpstr3xvzgb.png

Spoiler:

Gender: Female

Species: Litten

Personality: A crafty little Litten who has no shame in playing sides, Ashe is a somewhat deviant soul. She is not above using her wit and cunning to trick others into doing her dirty work and for the most part considers all forms of hard work and toiling to be far beneath one of her stature. That said, Ashe has no qualms with claiming the reward for such duties, when it comes time. She often makes claims that she is more suited for the roles of a supervisory type, but it does not take much to see that Ashe is really just trying to look out for herself in more ways than one. Rather than take the time to learn the names of those around her, Ashe has taken to calling everyone by nicknames instead.

In terms of strengths, Ashe carries a good head on her shoulders. Due to her crafty and somewhat devious mind, approaches problems from a logical standpoint, always taking the time to think things through before acting. Using her silver tongue, Ashe will more often than not use words to take care of any conflicts she might find herself in, as opposed to using brute force. She tends to keep cool at almost all times, making her slow to anger or at the very least, slow to show it. Ashe has a very fine eye for detail, at times picking up the smaller things that her fellow Pokémon might miss.

On the other hand, Ashe can be more than just a bit greedy. She tends to put herself above others around her, and the Litten is not exactly shy about letting those around her know that. It is this egotistical nature of Ashe's that causes her to stay off on her own more than interact and mingle with her fellow guild-members. A bit of a liar, Ashe is not afraid to bend the truth in order to get her way. In fact at times, it can be quite difficult to tell whether or not the Litten is actually telling the truth or not. Due to her manipulative ways, Ashe is used to getting her way at almost all times. If she sees something she wants, the Litten will not hesitate to attempt to make it her own. At times she even results to outright theft to secure a new treasure for her own.

History: Ashe was born in what many would consider the big city. Living out in the alleys of the city, Ashe was quickly introduced into the line of thinking for every mon for themselves. She never really formed any lasting bonds with any of the Pokémon she saw on a daily basis, often preferring to keep to herself rather than interact with any others her own age. Despite what many would consider a less-than-desirable home environment, Ashe was quick to develop a "better than thou" attitude. With her and her parents often being down on their luck, it did not take long for Ashe to learn how to survive through the art of theft and deceit. If there was anything that Ashe ever saw that she wanted, she would do anything in her power to get it. She learned quickly to con other Pokémon through fake tears and stories. She used lies and trickery to get various trinkets and money, something that did not take too long for Ashe to develop quite the nasty reputation.

It did not take too long before Ashe's reputation began to follow her around in the city. As time went by, the Litten began to have a more difficult time with hobby of thieving and trickery. Quickly realizing that she would never be able to acquire more by staying in one place, Ashe pulled up her stakes and set out on her own. The Litten spent a bit of time drifting about, stopping by various, nearby villages and the like to try and get her paws wet with whatever valuable looking trinkets she might be able to find, but she never really found much that seemed to catch her eye, deeming most villages to be nothing but a collection of junk. However, this time on the road did not prove entirely fruitless for Ashe.

While wandering about, the Litten happened to catch wind of the village of Pokémon Plaza. She had heard that they were home to an explorer's guild known as the Plaza Adventurers League. While Ashe had heard stories when she was younger about these brave Pokémon who would go out and help others with their problems and complete various tasks of exploration, she had never really put much interest on them. However, when she remembered that the explorers usually got some form of reward for their work... Ashe suddenly found herself piqued with a bit of interest in joining their ranks. Of course, she could not have given a pile of Miltank droppings about any Pokémon that might need saving or help finding some stupid berry or something similar... But if she could get her paws on some treasure while she was at it, then who was she to turn down her "aid"?

250px-179Mareep.png
Name: Sakura

Theme song:
Spoiler:

Gender: Female

Species: Mareep

Appearance: A typical Mareep who doesn't have much wool as most mature Mareep, and a little shorter too; standing on about 1'95". Her trademark attire, she has a red ribbon tied to the top of her woolly head which it extends past her head towards her upper body.

History: Sakura was born into a simple folk of her electric-type parents in a very small village surrounded by country and farm life. She had a carefree life, playing around with her friends, picking berries, and watching the beauty of nature. Her mother was the stay-at-home type who watched over her, while her father did odd jobs here and there to help provide food for the family. At night, she read stories about great explorers who traveled to unknown territories and fought against vicious criminals. She always idolized them, and one day, she hoped to be an explorer of her own. Her life growing was simple yet perfect in her eyes, until that faithful day...

One day when she grew to her current age, some rouge Pokémon had entered the village - whom Sakura had never seen before. Her village was known for accepting and welcoming unfamiliar guests, but these guests proved to be unpleasant as they started to bully the electric-type Pokémon. The attacks grew more vicious as their supposed leader showed up, a Nidoqueen who led a few ground-type Pokémon in order to hunt for some gold. The electric Pokémon fought against them, but their electric attacks were useless against them, as they were quickly brushed aside while the criminal ground Pokémon started their plunder.

Even Sakura's parents were no match for these Pokémon when confronted too. Sakura was soon face-to-face against the Nidoqueen, and even fought against her, but was severely outclassed as she too collapsed against her. Her village's wealth and crops were stolen, as the ground-Pokémon made their escape. Sakura vowed that she would soon get her revenge, by becoming an explorer in order to get stronger.

Her village was once again on it's feet, but the sudden attack had wounds that were yet to heal. So Sakura, who had come to age, decided to leave in order to become an explorer herself. Her parents were reluctant for a time, but also decided that she needs to follow her dreams, so they agreed. Her mother gave her a ribbon that became Sakura's symbol attire, and she was off on her journey. She finally ended up in the village of Pokémon Plaza, where she became a guild member of Plaza Adventurers League.

Personality: Personality-wise, Sakura has a strong sense of justice, and she is also steadfast and serious, especially when it came to guild and Pokémon knowledge matters. At the same time, she's also compassionate and sincere, known for having a smile towards her friends, and becoming warm towards them. She's like an older sister to all.

She's also quite whimsical, prone to making puns in many occasions how matter how cringing or silly it may be to her fellow guild mates. Perhaps this is just thinking that she makes herself laugh a little too much, and so she wants her guild mates to enjoy her happiness too? Deep down she's also a bit naive and over dramatic in this, and many occasions when it comes to things like scary stories, myths, and legends she would read and remember as a younger Mareep.

Aisu

desert-queen-personal-use.regular.png

Alolan Vulpix

desert-queen-personal-use.regular.png

Female

desert-queen-personal-use.regular.png

Aisu is a typical Alolan Vulpix in all ways bar one, her eyes. Since birth to her noble parents, her eyes have taken on a royal and elegant shape, often catching the attention and gaze of many a passing pokémon. She always maintains her tail and the tuft of hair on her head with great care and precision. In terms of physicality, she is lithe and quick on her feet. She isn't built for powerhouse strength or heavy lifting, more dashing speed and special attacks with her delicate and elegant frame.

desert-queen-personal-use.regular.png

In no uncertain terms of irony, most people upon meeting Aisu would describe her as cold. Brought up amidst nobility in her native land, a frozen citadel to the distant North, she possesses an exotic accent and a mysterious aura. Her attitude can be rather blunt and straightforward, she speaks every word in formality and can often be misunderstood as one whom never cares, or one whom has no time for anything more personal than manners and a false smiles. They are wrong to make this assumption, but they cannot exactly be blamed for it either, as her arrogant tone is known to her and in no way resisted..

Growing up the only child and heiress to her family has left her with a mountain of responsibility on her shoulders. She locks herself away behind mirrors of ice and doesn't allow the true self layered beneath it all to glisten in its crystalline form.

Behind all her pretense of authority and high born blood, Aisu is a scared young woman. She finds herself in a world far larger than her books could have ever prepared her for... with a monumental task upon her shoulders. Every little surprise causes her to squeak in shock... and in moments of great carnage and conflict her body seizes up in desperation. She puts on her arrogant facade to hide the terrified girl that cowers in her heart. To protect that person, she puts on a cold front with others, unwilling to trust anyone enough to reveal her.

Yet she is determined, her quest to recover the great treasure of her family and reclaim their honor is one that drives and inspires her. Even though she knows how many fears await her in the great unknown, she keeps shakily moving her feet forward, even in the absence of all hope. She will fight if no other option remains, she will do what it takes to maintain her reputation and status, even in lands where it means nothing. Her pride is just about the only thing she has left, even in a situation of life and death, she won't let it slip away.

desert-queen-personal-use.regular.png

In a distant kingdom to the North there lived a family of impressive breed and nobility. The Alolan Ninetales, a sub set of the regular fire pokémon seen rarely in all but the most frigid of areas, is said to possess the power of ice and fairy both. It is through this understanding of the cold, bitter nature of reality... but also the hope and understanding of such fanciful powers... that Aisu's family came to embody powerful leadership and a calm rule over their kingdom so many years ago.

They say that so gracious was this family, that a once heartless and frozen dragon was warmed by their grace. Descending from the sky above he landed by their side and presented them with an artefact of great power. The Eternal Ice Stone, an ice stone that would never melt, never fade and provide the right of evolution to Aisu's family for generations.

Supposedly this all happened centuries before Aisu was born... but as she walked the Frozen Palace floors through the hallways of her home, the massive frosty, star shaped rock mounted abover her fathers throne served as a constant thought, a never ending "what if" as to whether or not such a tale was true. She knew as a pup that one day she would be allowed to place her paw upon the shivering surface of the stone and grow into an elegant and lithe ninetales, as was her mother.

That is, before the business of evolutions going awry. Aisu, though of age as the princess to evolve, was denied the right as the power of evolution as the stone failed at this most imperative moment. In fact, all stones began to fade in power... as did hard work and training... as did the bonds of friendship that bolstered strength. The people cried out of an infection spreading from the lower realms. Aisu knew this to be nonsense of course, no such thing existed, but disarray and stress continued to mount.

Until a greater tragedy struck.

One day Aisu awoke to her Mother's scream and charged headlong to confront what situation had befallen her, only to find she herself was stunned in shock. The space above her fathers throne was empty and barren, no stone sat in the now clear space, no strength of ice and progress emanated throughout the throne room. The stone was gone, stolen away.

The days that followed were rough for Aisu's family. The people took the missing evolution and disappearing stone as a sign. A sign that Aisu's family was unfit for rule, that the dragon of legend had come to reclaim what was no longer rightfully theirs. Aisu believed nothing of the sort... even as she saw the demoralization settle in her fathers eyes, even as she saw his power wane.

Eventually enough was enough, she wasn't the strongest, nor was she the fastest. She was in no way suited to exploration or tracking things down but she had heard of others who were, guilds and organisations in the South whom provided companionship and protection on travels and adventures. Perhaps if she reached such a place and joined their ranks... eventually she might find the stone and bring it back, proving once and for all her families rights and honor.

And so, join a guild she did.

Name: Mira

Pokemon Species: Popplio

Gender: Female

Appearance: Mira is a normal Popplio, of average size for her species at 1' 4". Her attire consists of lots of costumes, including the one pictured. On occasion she may wear something lighter and simpler.

Personality: A sensitive soul, this Popplio, despite having a desire to please people through her not-so-private pastime and destined future career of actor, is actually shy and timid. Straying towards the back of any social event involving the theater company and tending to stick by herself while not on stage, Mira can be intimidated with large groups and much prefers the company of herself and maybe up to two Pokemon if she is in the mood.

Speaking of brave, on stage is pretty much the only place where her shy and timid nature consistently melts away to something more along the lines of every and anything that would be required of a plethora of character. Every time Mira steps up on stage, it's like a totally different person, so much in fact that Mira likens it to donning a donning mask. She laments not being able to permanently be "in character" when in the outside world and wishes to somehow inject something in her to get over shyness.

Another aspect that adds to Mira's social anxieties is her high sense of self-criticality. While this can be helpful for perfecting her craft, if Mira becomes too fixated on any one flaw, she can easily become lost in it, more susceptible to succumbing to pressure. This has been one of the byproducts of a stressful and demanding entertainment industry. When this happens, she tends to freeze up and crumble, necessitating a mumbled apology before going off to retreat for something more subdued and less awkward. This has led many to see her as socially awkward, especially with her heavy reluctance to interact with groups larger than three fellow Pokemon. On top of being quite down on herself, Mira is what you could call a very nervous and uptight.

Despite being a ball of nerves, one undeniable thing is how compassionate and kind she is. Mira can be quite affectionate and eager to please in whatever capacity she feels she can. She does her best to wear a smile on her face, be very amiable to the few people she has befriended and . Having only a few friends, the Popplio treasure any and all friends she has.

History: Born to a Primarena mother and an Azumarill father an only child, Mira was always taken with her mother's career more than her father's career, especially when her father's career of director made him act like a drill sergeant even to his own family. Already being a gruff and rough around the edges Pokemon, Mira saw much of the affection and love from her mother. Even from an early age before having the chance to get into acting, this contrast in personality from the two was apparent. Nonetheless, both of them groomed Mira for a career in the performing arts. Having not much in the way of being exposed to anything other than her mother and father's careers, the "choice" of what to do wasn't so much a choice as it was destiny. Her mother, Azure, was the one who sweetly coaxed her child on to perform her little heart out, while giving soft spoken encouragements and advice. Her father, Alfonso, had to do more of the technical aspects of succeeding in performances, techniques and barking orders about just the right stance and "improooooooov!"

Despite that, Mira couldn't seem to ever shake off shyness outside of the stage, and because of the mounting expectations, developed something of a nervous and uptight mindset in making sure everything was just right, to make sure that she could see her mother's smiling face and the pleased crowds of the various places she travelled to. While moving around and her parents got to know the industry, a certain Lumantis dancer, Lily-of-the-valley became friends with Alfonso and Azure. Thinking that , the two parents coaxed the Popplio in making friends more, peers to relieve some of the stress. One of those peers was a young Fomantis, a prodigious dancer name Chrysanthemum ("You may call me Chrys, if it so suits you."). Finding the Fomantis quite confident and outgoing, something that Mira admired could not replicate outside of a character, Mira watched as he seemingly flourished both in and out of his act. She seemed inadequate in comparison. There was nothing to worry about a reciprocal praise, however, as Chrys seemed to diligently note her own talent and became a supplementary source of encouragement.

After Mira received word that her friend Chrys would be joining the guild, Mira endlessly debated whether she should join too. Alas, she was talked into it, and is fretting the entire way.

Name: Reginald Featherbloom
YAbUD0p.jpg

Pokémon Species: Rowlet

Gender: Male

Appearance: Reggie looks nearly the same as any other Rowlet, except for having brighter, shinier eyes than most. He also has a proper bowtie on top of his bowleaf, one he claims has been there his entire life.

History: Reginald was born into an affluent family and raised from the day he was born to be the perfect prim and proper heir. For the most part, he took to his lessons very well. quickly becoming well-spoken, well-mannered and showing himself to be quite intelligent. But no matter how much he read, no matter how many lessons he perfected, no amount of societal savvy could curb Reggie's wanderlust. Reginald's younger siblings, and the many cousins who often stayed with his family were all bigger, stronger, and meaner than he was, and every time he presented them an opportunity by sneaking out to go on 'grand adventures' they made sure to take advantage of his recklessness. Surprisingly, despite his determination for propriety and his utter abhorrence of physical contact, all the beatings did no more than the lessons to keep him inside and complacent, and before long he even did his best to fight back.

Eventually, Reginald's parents caught wind of all the quarrels with his fellows, but it was not any of the bullies who were punished. It was unthinkable that the heir to the Featherbloom fortune would act like a ruffian, pelting his own young relatives with anything he could think to throw at them just so he could shirk his duties. Harsher and harsher restrictions began to pile up on the young Rowlet not only when he was caught fighting, but soon every time it was found out he'd escaped for even a few hours of freedom from the cage his family's ancestral manor had become. One day Reginald decided he'd had enough of being told how he was to life his life, and of being told the joy he felt when he flew free through the forests was wrong, and he disappeared from the manor for good like a ghost in the night.

Reginald had always been enamored with pokémon guilds, and he already knew where he wished to go before he'd even run away. Pokémon Plaza was such a nice, quaint place, and their guild was known for being unorthodox. Surely they wouldn't have some strict power structure and try to manage every aspect of his life? He could go on so many wonderful adventures, meet so many new pokémon, and really stretch his wings anytime he wanted! It didn't take long for his determination to pay off, and nobody had ever seen a happier, dappier (it's totally a word, shut up) Rowlet than Reggie the day he was accepted into the Plaza Adventurers League.

Personality: Reginald is very friendly and outgoing, but not exactly the most talented in social situations outside of formalities. At the very least he's accepting, he's more than happy to befriend anybody that doesn't seem like a selfish brute to him, as long as they try to avoid touching him. Ah yes, it may be prudent to mention that Reginald cannot stand to touch or be touched by other living thing's, with very few exceptions. He can get down in the mud, get soaked in water, or even end up in sap trap and power through with few complaints when it matters, but Arceus-forbid someone should hug him.

Reginald is nothing if not self-aware, and organized. He's never seen with a feather out of place, or really with anything about his appearance coming off as unkempt. He doesn't generally stray into obsessive compulsive territory except for in the matter of his feathers, of which every single one has a number or a name, and is designated either for aesthetics or to be used as a projectile. Reggie is also very excitable, overreacting to many positive stimuli, and very easily startled when surprised.

Wings down the strangest thing about Reginald is his unconscious talent for stealth. He very rarely makes any noise at all when he flies or hops, and has a habit of making other pokémon jump out of their skin if they aren't facing him when he approaches them.

Moveset: Ominous Wind, Razor Leaf, Peck, Astonish, Growl, Leafage.

› NAME ›› Mrrow (pronounced as 'Miroe')
› SPECIES ›› Meowth
› GENDER ›› Male
› MOVESET ›› Scratch | Growl | Bite | Fake Out | Fury Swipes | (Egg Move) Double Team
› APPEARANCE ›› As normal as any Meowth looks like. Although his paw pads are much soft/squishier. His eye color is light brown. The shape of his eyes are a bit smaller and the size of his eye pupils are a bit wider. (Which isn't recognizable unless you look closer.) Has a Focus Slash tied around his tail, covering his tail-line.
59sRJyv.png

› PERSONALITY ›› He's not a shrewd, cunning, greedy Meowth. (He's the opposite of the Rocket version.) Known to be a helpful Pokemon who's easy-going and down to earth, having an open heart and ear to listen to one's troubles and keep it shut if they need be. He likes to hear funny jokes and enjoy life as it is, content with what he has.

Open-minded and sensible, he isn't one to lash out when insulted. Titles don't affect him, Mrrow is not one to bow down to nobles and riches. All he wants is to play the ukulele and have an adventure. Maybe, possibly, find himself a home he can return to.

Armed with intellect when it comes to the king of the streets and the dark underground due to his upbringing, Mrrow is not the eager one to use the knowledge (of the latter) even if it ends up being useful. He prefers to be clean, the dark side provides no interest in his mind and soul.

He's no exception to resisting shiny things which might end up to be trouble if not suppressed. You never know he'd trigger a booby-trap or something. Has no plans on evolving lest he loses the ability to play the instrument he adores, the evolution process being tampered with definitely goes in his favor.

› HISTORY ›› Mrrow grew up on the streets along with the other Meowths raised as a typical street cat. He wasn't bitter about his upbringing; you could say it's an expected life of a Meowth. That's how it is, growing up as a Pokemon with no home except for alleys and will continue to have none. He would live a life where he'll probably teach those who have no skills to live alone and without shelter, guiding lost Pokemon simply because he relates as he continues to prowl in the back alleys, avoid turfs of other Pokemon and continuing knowing and dealing with the shady parts all those with noble statuses will crinkle their noises at.

That didn't happen, exactly.

He met a traveling ukulele musician and was immediately smitten at the sounds of the ukulele strummed with practiced techniques. It was love at first sight - he just had to learn! Recognizing his fast way of being taken in by the ukulele, the traveling musician kindly taught him the instrument. Thus, his road opened up with another path to take. The start of his changed destiny. (If you go along with the fate stuff.)

After a year and a half, the growing strong mentor-ship slash friendship between the two was over. They had to part ways but much like what the games and anime had showed: the bonds they shared will never be forgotten, buried deep into their hearts. The musician left a deep impression on the Meowth to the point that he decided to be a traveling musician as well and went on an world tour with his own ukulele, to spread the joys of the instrument's music!

After two years, he ended up wandering in the Pokemon Plaza, where he heard it was a place for Adventurers. He decided - why not join? It would be fun, Mrrow had develop the love to explore thanks to the influence of traveling around. Maybe, that may become his home that he still want to have.

Xiao Quan

Name: Xiao Quan

Pokémon Species: Pancham

Gender: Male

Appearance: Xiao looks like your average Pancham, but he goes out of his way to make his hair look messy. He wears black triangle shades, a gift from his father.

History: Xiao was born in a small home in the rough part of town. He spent much of his childhood hanging out with the wrong crowd, learning to fight out in the streets. These skills would be useful, no matter what career he chose. He initially wanted to be a heroic type, although he got off to a rough start. He was still young when he noticed a thief trying to steal from a food stall. Xiao attempted to apprehend the thief, tackling him into the stall and subsequently destroying it.

Although he ended up doing more harm than good, Xiao loved the rush he felt from the fight. He continued learning how to fight, sure that he would become a respected member of society and keep the peace. But he didn't find as many trouble makers as he thought he would, and started getting bored. When he heard rumors of an exploration team looking for the toughest, meanest Pokemon around, he assumed they were up to no good. He charged in to confront them, breaking down their door, but was quickly outmatched. They didn't hurt him, but did put him in his place.

Convinced that he had the right idea, and only lacked skill, Xiao decided not to do things alone anymore. He decided he would join an exploration team to learn what he lacked. His parents agreed, mainly out of concern that he would end up in jail if he kept going the way he was. When he came of age, he set out for Pokemon Plaza, hoping to put his past behind him. Though he wasn't entirely sure what he was signing up for, he decided to trust his future to the Plaza Adventurers League.

Personality: Loud, excitable, and proud of his strength, Xiao doesn't like to take things seriously. Many people have described him as childish, both for his curiosity and his lack of common sense. Although he isn't always the smartest person, he cares what others think, and tries to impress them to gain respect.

Although he can enjoy himself in almost any situation, he especially enjoys getting into fights, where the adrenaline is pumping and he can really show off his strength. He doesn't go around looking for fights (not very often, anyway), but Plan A usually involves punching something, and he'll enthusiastically let people know that. He'll back off if a better solution presents itself, but his low intelligence and short temper mean he can get frustrated easily.

Surprisingly, he tends to be kind of low key whenever he's by himself. Working out, taking a nap, or (trying to) build things; he enjoys relaxing as much as he enjoys the action of work or play. He has a hidden soft side, which he denies out of embarrassment if someone brings it up.

Moveset: Tackle, Foul Play (Egg), Arm Thrust, Work Up, Karate Chop, Comet Punch

CHRYSANTHEMUM (CHRYS)

The Dancer // Fomantis // Male

Fury Cutter // Leafage // Growth // Razor Leaf // Aromatherapy (Egg)

Appearance

karikiri___fomantis_by_autobottesla-dacraw9.png

Chrys does his part to keep appearances. Leaves are cared for until they have a perfect waxy sheen. Appearance is everything is his ideal line of work, and he strives to appear like the perfect example of a Fomantis (even if other people think it makes him look a little girly).

History

Chrys is the son of the famous Lurantis dancer Lily-of-the-Valley and an unknown (to him) father. Until coming to the guild, Chrys was studying under his mother in the art of dance. Most of his life has been traveling the world with his mother, going from town to town attending festivals, dances, and other shows.

During his travels, Chrys threw himself into his training as much as possible, even going above and beyond what was expected during the times his mother was not present. His desire to live up to his mother as well as the constant travel meant that Chrys has little in the way of friends growing up, always either in training or around the dance groups. Although Lily-of-the-Valley has insisted many times that he does not have to follow in her own footsteps, and he can live freely like a normal child if he so wished, Chrys has consistently decided to continue with his training.

Although he succeeded in his early years, even seeming like a prodigy to some, he has stalled in progress lately. His theory and technique is sound, however something always stopped him from fully immersing himself in the dances, leading him to mess up more and more. Discouraged and seeming closer and closer to abandoning his dream, Lily-of-the-Valley had an idea for a different type of training.

His mother's plan was to have him join the Guild, as she once did herself during her great slump. Arriving as a trainee in the Adventurer's League, Chrys is ready tackle the Mystery Dungeons and whatever lies within. Once more he is following in his Mother's footsteps, but this time in ways he never imagined.

Personality

Determined and disciplined is the image that Chrys would like to project to others. Unfortunately, the image one wants to project and the image others actually have of you can be completely different. Humility never came easily to Chrys, likely the result of one too many praises from outside sources calling him a prodigy in early days. His successes further his lack of humility, causing him to become brash and self-congratulatory.

Recently, however, his personality has taken a swing in the other direction. As his failures piled up more and more, he became more self-critical. Doubt begins to build in his abilities, and he becomes standoffish towards those who give him what he calls "pity praise" (essentially any praise at that point). In this state, he tends to be more prone to further mistakes, often rushing or overcompensating for past failures. Typically any kind of success, even those not related to the initial failure, is enough to drag him out of his melancholy.Surprisingly, Chrys is supportive of other people's talents, and tries not to (intentionally) one up them. One of his peeves is what he sees as a squandering of talent, and those who do not attempt to better their skills.

Outside of dance, Chrys has few hobbies and even fewer fields of knowledge. The little amount of time he is not practicing, sleeping, or eating, Chrys as found that he enjoys the delicacies in the long term art of wood cutting as well as the temporary art of flower arranging. He does not share these interests with anyone, out of embarrassment of both (although he can launch a spiel about the art inherent in both).

In high stress situations, he tend towards aggressiveness and forgoes subtlety, no matter how much he wishes the two were switched.

(CSS coming whenever I'm not a lazy ass)

Name: Dolly / Molly

Pokémon Species: Mimikyu

Gender: Female

Appearance:
Spoiler:

Unlike other Mimkyu, her rags are completely custom made. She made her own rags with yellow cloth, and hand painted the brown back stripes of a Pikachu at the back. Half of the wooden tail on her back is messily painted in yellow paint to resemble a Pikachu more.

History: Dolly used to be a cheerful witty Mimikyu when she was young. She enjoyed fooling people and playing pranks on her friends. This childish side of her didn't last long however. One day while she was playing with her friends at a nearby lake, a Skarmory came in and attacked the children. All her friends managed to run away, but Dolly's heavy disguise head prevented her from getting away very quickly. She was trapped, helpless against a menacing bird that towers way above her. It was one of her first moments of experiencing what fear looks like, and it scared her 'til she fainted on the spot.

It was at this moment that her other half awoke. Fearful for her potential death, she lashed at the armored bird, claw after claw. After repeated quick assaults, the Skarmory saw that its prey was a complete waste of time, and fled the scene. Her friends came out from hiding, and went to celebrate the victory with Dolly... That is, before they noticed something was wrong with her. The aura surrounding her wasn't the cheerful child that they knew; it was someone completely different. She would threaten the group with various attacks and curses, as if she was defending herself from outside harm. Molly had taken over.

Upon returning home, Dolly had completely shifted from her cheerful demeanor to someone frightful of the outside world. She would spend her days locked up in her room, and at times would shift to roleplaying inside her own head within the safe boundaries of her bedroom walls. Eventually, she decided that she doesn't want to be a Mimikyu anymore, and started to go full on with her disguise. She had gone completely insane.

Her mother, obviously, was worried on what happened to her child. On occasions, she would hear Dolly screaming various attacks as if she's having her own adventure in there, but other times she could hear the sound of broken furniture coming from Dolly's room. She knew what she had to do, and signed Dolly up for Drampa's Guild. Of course, Dolly was initially too shy to even consider, but eventually gave up when her mother literally dragged her to the guild.

Personality: Dolly and Molly are two entities living in the same body, as how they would describe it. However, they are simply the two sides of Dolly's personality that got split up due to the trauma.

Dolly is the true personality and the shy side. She prefers to hide than engage in social activity. Whenever engaged, she goes around saying that she's cursed, as she fears that her "other side" would wake up and hurt them all. People tend to think of it as a shut in's way to say that they don't want to talk with them, so they generally shrugged the statement off. She is also completely obsessed with Pikachu, seeing them as the Pokemon that she always wanted to be. Dolly is a coward, and a lot of things threaten her in her mind. She doesn't like to fight, as she is scared that it would break the costume she spent so long making. Dolly is also quite over the top with her imagination, although she wouldn't fully express it in the open. That doesn't stop her from calling out her attacks to make her sound cooler.

Molly is how the blood thirsty side calls herself; bitter, just like what her name means. She is the side that is willing to go all out to protect Dolly's sensitive feelings from harm. Molly tends to appear randomly during leisure activities, but she shows herself most often whenever Dolly starts to feel threatened. Molly is rude, abrasive, and would tear down friend and foe alike to prevent harm towards her and Dolly.

Moveset: (Both sides can use all moves, but these are the most commonly used moves for each side)
Dolly - Baby Doll Eyes, Copycat, Scratch
Molly – Shadow Sneak, Wood Hammer, Curse (egg)

[[ If the DM sees no issues with this that need correcting, I'd like to posit this as a complete SU! ]]

Name: Diogo
Species: Formantis (surprised there was another besides me, but I'm glad!)
Gender: Female

Appearance: Although mostly just a typical little formantis, Diogo sports a slightly more slender body and bulb adorning her head. Her eyes are lighter than average and look extra shiny, like a lens over water. Being a youngling, Diogo can barely boast a 10" height and 3lbs physique. She carries with her a Miracle Seed charm worn as a headband.

Moveset:
Aromatherapy (egg)
Fury Cutter (1)
Razor Leaf (10)
Growth (14)

History: Diogo was born to Fae, a female lurantis, and Bracken, a male parasect. They were, in a word...eccentric.

Her mother was a lover of the sun--almost a worshipper, really. She oversaw a small homemade shrine upon which sat a Sun Stone and a Miracle Seed, sitting Diogo down one day to explain it all. The way she told it, the sun gave Fae, Diogo, Bracken, and all the other pokémon who lived in the lush forest life. It was the catalyst and source of their strength, and as she she pointed to the seed she said the existence of life was just as important as the sun itself. The sun gave energy to the seed, and the seed gave the sun a reason to exist.

And the young formantis had witnessed her mother call upon the power of the sun and use her impressive Solar Blade move to wipe out any opponent she faced. She had no reason to doubt anything her mother said.

Her father, on the other hand, was a very practical pokémon. A kind pokémon. And a very naturalistic pokémon. He had an herbal cure for every kind of ailment imaginable, going so far as to even use the mushroom that grew on his back to make remedies. Enlisting the help of his child, he gave Diogo a foraging bag and taught her how to hunt for useful items. Any pokémon who asked for Bracken's help received it, and he spent many hours trying to instill this sense of altruism in his child too. Diogo learned well, carrying an empathetic heart into her later childhood.

Fae and Bracken loved battling, and would spar with each other often; Diogo usually got to watch but never formally participated (although she asked her parents to teach her their moves). In her parents's minds, better their little baby defy the expectations of any predators than be caught off-guard herself. Given the young one's proclivity to explore, this was well-heeded reasoning. She learned her offensive attacks from her mother (Fury Cutter, Razor Leaf). Meanwhile her father taught her how to channel energy (Growth) and heal (Aromatherapy).

As years went by, Diogo grew more and more frantic in her little neck of the woods. Her parents could see this, and so began to fuel her need for space with stories of adventure and treasure and fame. This pointed the formantis towards explorer's guilds and her parents gladly obliged; for the first time in Diogo's life, they traveled together out of the forest in search of a guild that would take her on. A teary farewell found Diogo with a gift from each of her parents; the Miracle Seed her mother so prized, and a charm with which to hold it.

With her inkling to explore and altruistic disposition, it was really only natural that Diogo would wander into Pokémon Plaza and into Drampa's very own exploration guild.

Personality: Diogo is a brave and quick-tempered little formantis. Although she tries her best, she does not always manage to straddle the line between decisive and hot-headed. Sometimes she...completely erases it in all the dust that she kicks up when challenged, because she never wants to be wrong or be seen as a coward.

The cute little Pokemon can be quite stubborn. Diogo's the first to jump to conclusions and last to land with subsequent limp and bruised pride. This characteristic tends to make her predictable, and it's easy to get her riled up. However, when she is inevitably proven wrong, she'll admit it to everyone and sometimes even has the guts to personally apologize to those she (may have) hurt or offended. Diogo has a heart of gold when it comes to these things, these things that she thinks truly matters beyond squabbles about who is the stronger Pokemon.

Her heart of gold means that she cares deeply for those she befriends. Her hotheaded nature makes it hard for other Pokemon to come anywhere close to her heart, but once she declares friendship they are stuck with her for life. Diogo will do everything she can to keep her friends safe, and even has a motherly nature if they ever come to her with problems or in tears. Whenever this happens, she always recalls the speeches her mother recited, and tries to repeat them in hopes that they will make her friends feel better as they had her.

(I have a really good feeling about this one. Can't resist a PMD roleplay!)

Name: Snype
Species: Sableye
Gender: Male

Appearence: Snype has always been slightly taller then the average Sableye who would normally be about 1"08 where Snype is roughly 1'20. Besides that, Snype looks just about the same as your average Sableye. He wears a short black cloak around him when traveling.

Personality: Snype is a thief at heart, well versed in the ways of criminal activity so naturally, he's a very crafty and shady mon. At the same time however, Snype is extremely charismatic, carefree, and friendly toward others to the point where it can be uncomfortable. It's debatable if this is just an act to snag whatever he can take from them, and Snype does love doing what he does.

Snype has quite an ego due to being extremely confident in his own skill as a thief. Often times he gets so confident that he tries to make his thieving attempts into big "spectacles" to make himself look "cool" in front of others whenever stealing from other mon. He calls himself "The King of Thieves" but this is mostly as a confidence booster and a way to hopefully make a name for himself whenever he's doing his job.

Ironicly enough though, Snype never truely steals items for himself and more often then not, he's returned stolen items to the mon he had taken them from. The Sableye does this as a way to train his own reflexes and for the simple thrill. Though, despite this, he has kept a few of his stolen belongings, mostly when gems are involved.

Snype has the habit of letting off a small laugh whenever he speaks. "Kehehehe" is often what most mon associate Snype with.

History: Snype's younger years with his mother and father were some of the most interesting in his life. His father was a Kadabra, known for their extremely high intelect, while his mother was a Sableye who was an expert thief herself. The two had very clashing personalities yet still loved each other all of the same. Snype took after both of them, leaning shady techniques from her mother to survive out in the world and being taught about tactics and basic knowledge from his father. Though they didn't expect him to get so wrapped up in thievery so early on. His very first attempt at stealing was just simply stealing from a food stall, only to be taken down by another mon rather easily. He managed to slip away, but felt an amazing thrill out of it.

The following years, Snype continued to train his reflexes, stealing from other mon, often returning the items for the sport of it, or keeping for his own needs. It mostly depended on if he liked the mon or not. Overall though, Snype's little misdeeds were mostly innocent. He was simply the towns local troublemaker and his mother and father got an earful every time Snype was caught and brought back. It even got to the point where exploration teams were sent to stop Snype's shenanigans. His hobby was suddenly growing more dangerous the better he got as nobody seemed to realize he only did this for the thrill, rather then the reward... mostly.

Snype couldn't stay in town if he was going to continue to improve his art as a thief, so the Sableye left town and made his way to the Pokemon Plaza. Though had had made a bit of a reputation being a mischivious scoundrel back home, Snype felt interested in joining the very same group that had started to hunt him down. Perhaps his own thief abilities could be put to use in a guild like this... or at the very least, he can snag himself some loot and make his way out incase he isn't happy being there! Something he would have to find out once he signed up... he just hoped nobody there was too familiar with him. He had to keep a clean slate if he was going to have any chance of joining!

Rufus
b32ff0511502966bbfaa44520bb1f873.jpg

Pokémon Species: Rockruff

Gender: Male

Appearance: Rufus looks like your typical rockruff, however he usually leaves his tongue dangling out of his mouth, which is left wide open and covered in drool. His tail is extremely fluffy, which usually causes it to get caught in tree-branches and bushes if he's not careful.

History: Rufus came from a family of four, his mother a midnight form lycanroc chef, his father a midday form lycanroc adventurer, and his twin sister Rahne. Because of his job Rufus' father was rarely at home for long periods of time. However, his amazing tales of exploration and adventure was on a very short list of things that could keep Rufus' attention for longer than a few minutes. Rufus would spend most of his time engaged in games and goofing off, except for the times where he would lay around and think about all the fun adventures his father had told him about. He knew from a very young age that he would want to follow in his father's footsteps and become an adventurer himself someday.

He and his sister Rahne were always very close. He thought of her as his best friend, and always shared everything with her. Whenever he found something he thought was neat or interesting she was the first one to know about it, sometimes even before he had a chance to look at it much himself. Her opinion meant the world to him, and whenever he would do something to upset her he would immediately regret it and tried to make it up to her.

Personality: Rufus is a fun-loving, quirky rockruff who loves nothing better than goofing off without a care in the world. He's extremely energetic, known to suddenly start chasing his tail at random moments, as well as clumsy, which causes him to get into more than his fair share of trouble. He has a slightly concerning obsession with rocks which typically serves as yet another distraction for him. While he is goofy and clumsy, in battle he seems to change into a completely different pokemon. His normally over-excited nature becomes a strength during battle, allowing him to think quickly and react with precision and accuracy.

Moveset:
Thunder Fang, Tackle, Sand Attack, Bite, Howl, Rock Throw

Rahne
Rockruff.full.2009261.jpg

Pokémon Species: Rockruff

Gender: Female

Appearance: Rahne looks like your typical Rockruff, with a few subtle differences: She has a notch in one of her ears, caused by over-zealous sniffing, and not looking where she is going. Her ear was torn by a thorn from a rosebush that she did not realize she was wandering through (she then continued to not notice the bleeding for some time). The rocks around her neck are on a slightly more gray-scale, rather than the typical brown.

History: Rahne comes from a family of four: Her mother is a Lycanroc (Midnight) chef, and her father is a Shiny Lycanroc (Midday) adventurer, and her twin brother, Rufus (application above). Their father's job had him leaving their happy home for days at a time, always returning with a smile on his face and a long list of thrilling stories to tell his children. These stories served as fuel for Rahne's desire to explore and adventure, and it was at a very early age that she made a pact with her brother: One day they would follow in their father's footsteps and become adventurers, making their own stories to wow the world with.

Rufus means the world to Rahne; he is more than her twin, he is her best friend, and her partner-in-crime (or justice). Few people understand Rahne's excitable, outspoken nature, the way her brother does, in fact, he tends to add to it, making them quite the dynamic, rambunctious team. Rahne is very protective of her brother, and while he might be a goofball, and at times a lot to handle, anyone who finds fault with him will earn themselves a Fire Fang to the face.

Personality: Rahne's emotions are always kicked into high gear; everything she feels, she feels to a high degree: Happiness, sadness, excitement, there is no middle ground with this one, everything is either the greatest thing to ever happen, or a crushing, world ending defeat. That being said, she is incredibly friendly. Everyone is Rahne's friend until proven otherwise. She has an incredible desire to be a hero, and loves to explore and seek out danger, and then battle it. She is always looking for an excuse to go exploring, and just about anything can suffice for an excuse. Did a berry go missing? It's a thief, let's track them down, and fight to get our berry back!

Rahne also has a strange habit of collecting Blast Seeds, and keeps an abundance of them in her pack, along with a small collection of berries. Rahne always loved to cook with her mother, though without Roxanne's supervision, things tend to go awry (no hands, and teeth that tend to set things ablaze make for a lot of kitchen-related misadventures), so she settles for collecting berries and giving them out to her friends. Much like her brother, Rahne's quirks become fuel for her power on the battlefield, where she is quite skilled for one so young…though her strategies have a tendency to leave her own wellbeing out of the mix.

Who's excited for the roleplay? /raises hand. Me. So much that I keep coming back to check this thread. Ah-ha!

By the way, my Meowth's name is spelled Mrrow. 'Miroe' or 'Mi-row' is how it's pronounced in case anyone's wondering how the name is called. Just like to point it out, thanks!
