It's not spent as well as it could be, but it should definitely be a thing.

Love is love. We should be free to be whoever we want to be. They need equality and acceptance in society, anything less is disgusting.

If someone takes a life, with undeniable proof, they deserve to have their life taken too.

If someone has a terminal illness/other incredibly disabling illness they should be allowed to end their own life if they wish, in a safe and controlled environment.

Definitely, unless they're very ignorant, in which case I'd attempt to educate and if they didn't want to listen then I'll just get frustrated and leave XP

It depends on their crime.

I feel like none of these theories have been adequately built upon to fit into the modern society. All are severely outdated and two dimensional. Closest to what I want is socialism.

The only taxes I've dealt with is sales tax on things I buy, so I really have no opinion at the moment.

I'm not very knowable on any of those three, but know how capitalism and communism failed, I'm gonna say socialism.

It makes me sad how much discrimination gay people get from extremely religious and conservative groups. I hate homophobia with a passion. People don't choose to be gay. I also fully support gays being married since they should be allowed to love too regardless of what sex they find attractive.

Indifferent I guess.

What is your view on euthanasia?
I think it's only okay if the person is extremely ill and really has no chance of living. If it's their time to go, then let it be. God will take care of them.

I try to be tolerant of other's views if they aren't pushy, ignorant or annoying about their views. If they can't accept my opinions and excessively try shoving theirs down my throat or if their opinion is beyond hateful or harmful, then I won't accept it.

It depends on the crime. For murder or rape or more serious crimes, I think punishment is necessary. Otherwise, rehabilitation.

Probably, though I haven't thought too much about it. Definitely for medical purposes, though I need to read up more on its efficacy. I guess I'm not really pro-criminalizing anything that doesn't harm other people, and I don't see weed as being particularly harmful to non-users (assuming that people who don't want to use it/inhale smoke from it don't have to), so sure, decriminalize it.

Yes

I tend to be anti-taxation and anti-big government overall. I feel like a lot of our tax money is wasted/isn't spent very effectively, and I would rather not provide the government with any more money until I've seen them demonstrate more fiscal responsibility than I think they've been doing lately. In general, I support using such money for things like roads/infrastructure, but am not a big fan of welfare programs, social security, etc. Also, if we have to tax people, I would be more supportive of a flat tax rate, more like sales tax.

Capitalism. I don't think communism provides sufficient motivation to the parties involved for it to be sustainable in the long run, and frankly, it hasn't worked all that well in the nations where it has been used longer-term. I think socialism is prone to some of the same flaws as communism, though to a lesser degree. Certainly, capitalism has flaws, but I personally think they're less problematic than the flaws of socialism and communism. Obviously, I'm sure my perspective is colored by my own upbringing, background, etc.
How do you feel about gay marriage and the LGBTQ community in general?
Apathetic, I guess. I'm fine with it, but it's not an issue I consider when voting or anything else.
What is your view on the death penalty?
I think it has value in certain cases, but as some others have said, it's important to make sure that the innocent aren't accidently condemned to it. How to do that, I'm not sure. There are definitely crimes that I think deserve the death penalty, but personally, I think it sounds more miserable to rot in prison for life than die (I guess the guilt would get to me too much). I'm not sure if I would feel comfortable condemning someone to death if I were on a jury, though.

Generally pro-euthanasia
Would you describe yourself as tolerant of other people's views?
On the whole, yes. Then again, most people would say the same thing. After all, look at how many people would actually admit to being racist, or any other not-socially-acceptable term. But in general, I try to consider other people's views with an open mind if they respect my views as well, though there are certainly cases where we must politely agree to disagree.
And finally, is it more important to rehabilitate criminals or punish them?
Depends on the crime and the criminal. I'm not convinced that all types of crimes/criminals can be rehabilitated; in those cases, the focus should be punishment. In the case of lesser crimes for which rehabilitation has been shown to work, then I'm pro-rehabilitation.

I think all countries should allow someone to die on his or her terms. Keeping them alive only makes them suffer more.

Rehabilitate them. Only someone who has come to realise the depth of what he has done can be rehabilitated, and i think that's important to not just throw people to prison, but to try and help them as well.

I don't personally feel either of these three are very well defined as a whole and need a complete reconstruction.

100% support. Marriage to the one you love is a right not a privilege.

I feel like there needs to be far more use of the death penalty. I'm tired of murderers and rapists being permitted to rot in their miserable existences instead of just plain out being offed. Because they could potentially escape and harm more people than they already have, and I don't like that thought whatsoever. Safety is the key here.

Having been a person who's performed forms of euthanasia on suffering animals in the past and is fully willing to do it again should the time call come, I am for it. No person, animal, or other should be forced to stay alive and suffer. Quality of life is important, and if medical professionals are under the belief that they should be euthanized due to how low that quality is, then it should definitely be permitted.

Would you describe yourself as tolerant of other people's views?
Depends on what their views are. If they are pro-life, disapprove gay marriage, and/or detest euthanasia, then no. I wouldn't consider myself 'tolerant' of that kind of person.

Punish. They know what they did is bad and/or harmful, they're not stupid. They don't need to be educated and mental therapy can only help a person so much. They have to make the decision to help themselves first and foremost. And frankly I don't want criminals to be permitted to be around people who live honestly. The only way I ever learned in my life growing up was by being punished for the things I did wrong. It's hard to revert someone away from the life they're used to living, so unless they correlate a bad experience to their wrongdoings, it might be extra difficult. Rehabilitation just says 'permissive' to me.

I personally only support abortion in the case of rape, incest, or the mother's life being in danger - but I don't agree with making it illegal because then people will just get abortions anyway, except they'll do it through less than safe methods.

The wealthy and corporations need to pay their fair share - the entire tax code is designed with so many loopholes that mega-corporations hardly pay anything, and in many cases get refunds. Meanwhile the tax burden is placed on the middle class who can't afford higher taxes.

Well-regulated capitalism with a few socialistic influences. Right now the US is a prime example of capitalism gone wild, where the corporations hold monopolies, income inequality is obscene, and the politicians represent only the will of the corporations and lobbies that line their pockets. I'm generally for a free but well-regulated market, but I also support a universal healthcare system or at the very least a government-run public option, and other social programs that benefit the people who really need help.

How do you feel about gay marriage and the LGBTQ community in general?
I'm personally for equal rights for the gay and lesbian community, including marriage. If your religious beliefs are against gay marriage (mine are not), then that's perfectly fine, but in the eyes of the law everyone should be equal.

What is your view on the death penalty?
I'm against it the grand majority of times and believe it should be used only in the most extreme cases (like Bin Laden) when someone is more dangerous when left alive. All human life is precious and by killing someone in retaliation for them murdering someone, we're no better than them and we're effectively committing murder ourselves.

I'm against it, but I believe that people's wishes should be honored in terms of a living will, pulling them off life support, etc.

Generally rehabilitate. Many people can show remorse for their actions, be rehabilitated and become productive members of society again. Obviously there are some that are beyond that, but I think that rehabilitation should be the primary focus in many cases.
