Pop Goes the Questions

Mhm. Here goes the rollercoaster. My computer thinks it can tell me what to do and put steamroller there instead, but too fucking bad machine. I'm the winner in this game.

Name: Melissa Waterflower.
Age: 18.
I am pretty sure I'm female. I check daily.
I live on Long Island, but that doesn't mean I'm giving out the specific coordinates, so do your dirty work yourself, lmao.

I have a...bunch of interests. Mahou shojo, OS-tans, manga, cartoons, Homestuck, Kagerou Project, Choujigen Game Neptune, RWBY, Touhou Project, Doctor Who, Vocaloids and glitches. I will give my top 100 anime if you bug me enough. Oh, and I wrote a ~490 page novel (in the word document, and it's 1,050 pages on handwritten paper because my handwriting sucks.) That's not impressive at all in any way. I bet everyone else here could write a 490 page book, aha.

Also, I have a form of high functioning autism. seratonin deficiency and a few other things that doctors just diagnosed me with. Don't ask about any of that, but just be aware...that's it's never you when I'm angry or depressed. It's always me.

I like posting in my own pink font that I take the effort to manually write in every single post I type up. Talk about commitment! ^^

Also, don't talk to me about anime with a lot of girls. I like them too much and fangirl about them all day long. Be careful. While on that topic, I'm a lesbian. But enough about me, lol. Wait. This thread is about me... all about me. People are going to question me about the my little universe I wove myself in.

And final thing before we begin. Palamon is not a Digimon.

I will answer any question except extremely dirty or ones I don't feel comfortable with answering.

Hello! Just a few questions to start. :]

What's your favourite anime and what would you say makes it so good?
How long did it take you to write your novel / what's it about?
Aspirations for the future?

Black Rock Shooter TV. Okay, first of all, Black Rock Shooter is sexy. No contest. Don't even contest it. And I love the plot. I've watched the anime twice and won't let it out my soul. I love it so much. What makes it good? Just about everything. Short episode count. (8 episodes) A cryptic plot that gets you thinking, and a hot cast of girls.

Planning took over a year, to be honest. Writing process? Seven months. It also took me about eight months to edit it, and I'm still editing it.

I'm going to put what it's about in a spoiler, since it's kind of dark.

Spoiler:

To become the best librarian in the world. ;D And to get my novel published of course.

Why'd you choose this username over Palamon?

Kind of wanted to try something new on PC around the time name changes came around. I also didn't like the way Palamon looked in any forum color when I was testing it out with the supporter BB Codes, so I decided not to use it here.

If Palamon's not a Digimon, then what's the story behind the username?

Also, I take that pink is your favorite color. Do you have any other favorites?

Let me just... copy and paste what I wrote on another forum. xD

...I got into Digimon. This was early 2008. I started playing Pokemon RPGs online. Stuff like TPMRPG, TPPCRPG, Pokemon Indigo, etc. This was also...around the time I started making mon games of my own. I would make a Pokemon RPG in a Word Document. Where was the first place I used Palamon on? TPMRPG. (The Pokemon Moon RPG). And maybe Pokemonelite2000? However, formatted as palamon because I was really bad at grammar and didn't capitalize my name.

What did this name mean to me at this point in time? "palamon is my favorite digimon!" Yes. I thought Palamon was Digimon. It was only years later I learned...by reading the Digimon manga, that it was Palmon not Palamon, oh and Patamon was another one. That was embarrassing. Really embarrassing. But, I joined every single forum with the name "palamon" (in lowercase letters) until January of 2009

Beyond this story: it sort of became my identity after this big mistake of thinking it were a Digimon. Also, Palamon comes from the story "A Knight's Tale" but I want to come up with my own meaning for the name. It just became my identity over the years, and I, you know, refuse to let it go. xD

Tbh, I like all color. I can't pick a second favorite. I used to pretend to hate color, lmao. That was weird. So, I don't have any other favorites. I like all the colors of the rainbow because I can create so many hair colors out of it.

Who inspires you as a writer?

For poetry, Edgar Allen Poe. His poems got me into writing dark poetry. And this is something I keep secret, but at one point, harryheart's Pokemon fanfic from SPPF inspired me to write fanfics, but I was bad and those days are over. As for today, I'm inclined to say moreso my own mind as my inspiration since I can craft fiction from my personal issues alone.

Hi fellow anime lover! What's your current username from? What inspired you to write a novel?

She's Ayano Tateyama from Kagerou Project, which also has an anime named Mekaku City Actors! What inspired my novel? My entire mind and the mental torment I go through. I decided that if I was going to write a novel, it would have to be in an account that I can always use, and since I'm always in some sort of pain inside, I decided to do that. It feels cool that I can use my own mind to handcraft a story.

What is Long Island like? Do you enjoy it there?

Long Island question, huh? I'll start by saying that it's kind of nice here if you get here at the right time. Never come here in winter. Living in the Northeast, we get snow a lot if the winter is bad. Like this one right now where it's been snowing pretty much every week. Summers are awesome here. I live in a village town, so the town square has movies on the grass on Main Street. I enjoy it here. It's a nice place where I live. You know everyone around you, sort of, and it's so big here. We've got good beaches and places to go sightsee here, so come and visit one day.
