The Leader order was messed up (fixed it placing-wise so the ranking is clear), but obviously the result would be the same (unless you want leaders fought in some kind of order, but I think we said we're not doing that).

I grant that Fokko earned that E4 placing over me (though I think he had other victories too), so I can't question that. If I were to become a better battler, I might end up filling in there in the future if someone goes inactive, but I am not skilled enough to be considered Elite anyway right now. :) I would have done it if I ended up there, but that was a surprise. Thought something was wrong. :) Wish I could have had one or two more qualifying battles, but I doubt I would have made it in the top group anyway (and might have ranked worse LOL).

Doing this as a new post because it's unrelated to my previous post.

I said earlier that, if a forum were created for this league, that it might also work for getting other leagues going.

I submit this as evidence.

The interest is there. We should take advantage of it.

Remember earlier in this thread i said that i was lurking through seribii? And what i found? (The have plenty of leagues set, and very organized) It could easily work here too. Making a WHOLE separate forum doesn't convince me yet, when since we're starting one, keep it here since its the.... wait for it....

Hmm, if you're still wanting more leaders, I may be able to be a 3DS leader, but I'm only suggesting right now, as I'll be unactive starting next Sunday for about two weeks, going back home on holiday (<3), so I'll miss quite a bit of the progress and the launch of the league (hopefully!)
 
Ok, so I've been talking to Zeffy about the whole league subsection thing. He wasn't really into the idea, but what he suggested instead to solve the issue of keeping the OP updated is to make a joint account and have that account be the thread maker.

If you're an idiot like me and didn't know what I joint account is, its basically an account where multiple people know the username and password. That way, several of us can log into said account and edit the OP, so it doesn't fall to just one person to deal with it, nor do we have to bug other staff members about it.

So I think that's what we're gonna do here.

Another thing we need to discuss is the badges. Who's gonna make them? Because it ain't gonna be me; I have zero artistic abilities. Or are we just gonna have a few emblems for league accomplishments?

I'd rather not sign you up for a position right now if you're gonna be away for 2 weeks; I'm pretty sure we'll have this league running in a couple of days. However, if there is still an open slot when you return, you are certainly welcome to have it!
 
What's going to happen when we go back up the rotation? Falkbalk is the 18th pick, but what are we going to do after that? Will we just draft again for the people who still need another type?

Yeah, I was just wondering If I'd be able to become a leader later on (If there are still spaces), not going to be a burden by not being here for the launch :P So yeah, here's to hoping no-one takes that spot while I'm gone! :)

Also, how IS it going to work for people who join after drafting has finished. Will it just be a 'pick two types' kind of deal, or give them the two least used types in their 'league' (3DS/Showdown!), like if there is only one Demon Bug Type Gym, give them Bug and the other least used/uncommon type?

Can Zeffy explain his reasoning here? I honestly think that not tapping into the interest is going to make it harder for other members to find existing leagues. See my link last nite to someone trying to set up another league; either he does not know this is here or he actually saw and wants to set up a second. A dedicated area for leagues is the way to go IMO, and sub-forums for each league is optional - as in not as important, but a nice touch, even if unnecessary. I feel strongly about a general leagues forum, so would like Zeffy's reasoning as to why this is not ideal.

Also, I could help with a league updating thing. But I still think having a separate forum and non-official forum moderators helping with it is better. If two people try to access the joint account at the same time, it could make editing very interesting. Then there's the question of accidentally still being in the account when posting elsewhere.

We don't need emblem badges (leaving it to beating the league, or even getting all badges THEN beating the league), but it would be nice to have little trinkets to indicate victories in the TP.

are we allow to pick the same type that the showdown doesn't picked??? I'm in x/y lol so can i pick fire type
