I dont think challengers should have to start over if they lose to one, I mean elites are elites for a reason. To go 4-0 would be a bit too challenging imo. Like stated before we want it to be a challenge not a death trap

You're going to use electric as one of your gym types, when ots not? That question can go two ways lol.

We restart our elite challenges in the game after a loss, it's only appropriate for this Elite Four to work in the same fashion. If there is too much of a problem it can be changed.

Ozymandias selected electric as the first secondary gym type. There was no way you would have been able to use electric even if you were online to pick your secondary type at the time.
 
We did that type draft preeeetty fairly, it's not like we just threw it out at a random time of day and whoever happened to be online for that instant got first picks of everything... We took days, upon days waiting to give each individual person a pick in a predefined publicly listed order. I don't know where you got electric for yourself from mate, but I don't think you really could've bred six shiny 6 IV pokemon in like 2 days anyways :v So let's just roll with the rules here aye? :p

Hey, you guys wanna let the poll run til' tomorrow afternoon or so? Give it some time to air, let everyone throw a vote at it and all that business.

Also, anyone who wants to test their teams, singles or doubles - please feel free to poke me for a trial run. I'll gladly test any teams in either format to help out. ^^

I still stand by this, BTW, since I also suggested it. I can see how this might get annoying, however (for the E4 members who repeatedly lose LOL), so I might instead suggest that the same six Pokémon be used on all members (and Champion once we have one). If the challenger changes ANY Pokémon - even one - the challenge resets and they no longer have any wins in the Elite Four. Objections?

Wait, this starts in TWO DAYS?

I won't be ready for two days from now. Three Pokémon aren't even bred yet and the others aren't even leveled up. There's no chance. I have some coursework to do as well for part-time learning, and I'm behind on that as it is. I've also received a couple of random cloning requests, and now one of them has gone offline without receiving his swag back (one of them a Shiny, and apparently 6IV, legendary whom I shall not name, and whom the provider swears is legit., but not the first time I've heard of this so maybe it is).

I'll see what I can do tonite and update, but I've chatted with someone else here about team ideas, so checking Egg Moves and breeding lineups is in the cards now, then Dittoing for nature and 6IVs (worst case scenario, the proper 5IV setup). So far, three team members are set, and one is on standby for swap-in. I suppose I could use Diancie (Fairy!...it's not in ubers, right?) to start off if needed, but it's not a permanent member of my team, either, and I'd rather present my team, not fill-ins.

Think of this as the Gym Ash visited when the new Leader's father left town, but never really left, keeping an eye on the Gym from outside of town while in disguise and visiting as if s stranger. The father part is not relevant, but the new Leader part is. The battlefield is literally under construction.

I'll try, but no guarantees. I hope we can just put a "not yet open" tag up or something. And my R button is still being sticky, so I have to find some compressed air soon.

UPDATE: Just finished the cloning request. Off to breeding. I might inflict Pokérus to speed up EV training on them.

I'm not going to be ready yet either all i have is my all grass type team ready. I need to work on my fire type team and trust me i need a 6 iv litwick modest nature right now. And yes it is possible lol i already breeded my electric team already before this happen lol. I just got done getting a 6 iv tynamo shiny just a while ago
 
I got my team, just trainig now to get them evs brehh.sucks i cant use aegisladh. Its ok. I got guns (:<
 
Yeah, the breeding part is the easy and less time consuming part (until you go to 6IVs, or my previous 3/78 female Eevee nightmare). The hard part is the part where you have to EV train everything. It's easy if you know what you want; it's harder either finding the Pokémon you need or playing the soccer games. At least with soccer games, you are guaranteed those EVs.

Haha ok Malva! Sounds like a plan. I think i got to switch out one of my pokes too, for a lv 40 the stats should be higher :/
 
Um, guys when I said "I don't think you could've bred 6 shiny 6 IV electric types in 2 days' I mean the two days between when Fokko thought he got electric type, and when he found out he couldn't use electric lol. As much as I wish we could start in 2 days - I'm pretty sure we're not. :P

And I stand by that; I don't care if you're sitting there for 48 hours straight Masuda Methoding and carrying a shiny charm, with all the pieces already put together in your game; even three 6 IV shinies obtained in that time period isn't legitimate. Do we really need to do hack checks on pokemon? :0

And more importantly; can we get some feedback on the important things like is everyone okay with that same teams but build changes for each pokemon allowed for singles vs double battles? And are we requiring the Elite 4 to all be beaten consecutively or no?

Uh, it was him. :S

Since I plan to use singles, I don't really have an opinion on build changes. As for the E4, they can be in any order, but my latest suggestion - in the event that rematching all of the E4 is not ideal (I mean, having six consecutive battles for a loss is demoralizing enough, then winning the seventh identical battle when you're the last one demoralizes the challenger), simply require an identical team be used for the Elite Four with changes allowed for each Leader (within team limits, such as eight or nine to swap between).

EDIT: Fighting my R button some more. For now, got a 5IV Azumarill. Levelup time, then going for 6. Superpower breeds over, which is nice; I plan to use that move (it learns the move anyway at Lv.42, but it's an Egg Move). Houndour is next after I get the 6IV (more like IF I get the 6IV).

What is your next project after the Houndour? I'm currently breeding all the Mega Evolution lines, but if you're going to be breeding a perfect IV Hondour I'm more than willing to do something for you in exchange for a 5 IV Houndour with the right nature.
 
Tell you what. I'll shift over to Houndour now. If I find one in my Bank. I'm holding on to the 5IV Azumarill I currently have and can level up a Houndour at the same time.

I have a 1IV, but want to save time. LOL

Speaking of Azumarill, it's just great to know that the move strategy databases feature moves that are taught way back in Generation II via TM, and not learnable from Generation III onwards except by Move Tutors - and this Azumarill's already here. See "Ice Punch". It can't be Egged. If OR/AS add Move Tutors, I'm sending it over to learn the move. For now, Ice Beam it will be to give Dragon coverage if I use it.

EDIT: No dice on more than 1 IV for Houndour. No Houndoom Safari in the game. Gotta rough this one out.

Good thing I went there. Azumarill I had a 3IV Lv.100 to start with.

Yeah, Smogon sets kinda suck like that. Especially when they recommend specific Hidden Power types. I spend enough time breeding for perfect IV's, let along spreads like 31/30/31/30/30/31 lol.

So what was your next project after Hondour? I could start it now for you and we could trade 5IV for 5IV.
