Yeah its kind of confusing xd. alright, but if they do mega kang in doouble does it mean no badge either?
Yeah, for consistency's sake.

Hah, okay - so in preparation for the ensuing conversation.... *ahem*

I'd like to submit the first complaint of counter picking, for consideration

After subbing for leaders against me twice before, Krystia subbed the grass / rock leader for me, and switched a probopass in on my skarmory. It had magnet pull as its ability, and knew taunt - thunderbolt, and stealth rocks. Krystia has played my challenge team before, and knows my skarmory's moveset as spikes, whirlwind, roost, and brave bird. I'm fairly certain this is noooot a typical Probopass, annnnd it does specifically counter the pokemon on my team that would give the most trouble to a grass rock leader, especially since it's been used against Krystia before.

For consideration. If it's not, lol I was trolled with probopass

WAIT hold on, we're restarting the battle without it.

Ignore giant hairy nose pokemon counter picking complaints

Second Edit: >>

So I lead with my mismagius, which krystia also knows the build of, with will o wisp holding a colbur berry

So he leads with a tyranitar, holding a lum berry, that knows Shadow Claw >>

Krystia I'm sorry, we can do this one - but I'm not battling you as a sub anymore lol

That's actually sort of true, but it is because of Haxorus remember? I did that with Haxorus and I learn that it will have will-o-wisp. I just used the same strategy for that. the colbur berry never show up in our match.

xD Look, I get that you planned for the team you were playing well, but Shadow Claw

on a dark type that gets crunch

There was more than that anyways, buuuuut lets just forget that, I did lose to you, so no badge 5 me

But I think I will battle someone else for it such as lobrix herself whenever she's back around, or another sub.

Alternate forms of these Pokemon are accepted.
  • Kyurem
  • Cobalion Tornadus
  • Terrakion Thunderous
  • Virizion Landorus

Alternate forms of these Pokemon are not accepted.

  • Rotom
Yeah, so I kinda messed it up. Fixed it. And I'm pretty sure Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are on the UBER list, so that's crossed out too.

I still kinda think that we should just allow all not-already-banned forms and allow people to switch between them if they want. Unless someone can come up with a good reason as to why we should limit form usage and what's allowed/not allowed.

I brought up the question originally because I wanted us to have an idea on what we'd do if someone wrote down Tornadus, someone assumed that meant just Tornadus-I, and used both forms in their gym battles and someone got upset over the form switch.

Also, only White Kyurem is an Uber. Black Kyurem is still OU.

May I be directed to the link to challenge the gym and whatnot?

Sure thing mate, click >>here<< for the challenge thread, and have fun ^^

Anybody available to sub for Lobrix?

I'm pretty sure I linked it in the OP of this thread, and made large. :P

I'd actually like to ask a question, one that I just realized here recently with Krystia

should we put a cap on the amount of times subs (who are also leaders, later in the league maybe) battle a particular challenger?

seriously, I've battled Krystia I think four times now while taking this league challenge, I have a few different versions of the poke's I specified but I feel like he knows my team by heart now.

I'm not saying he'd specifically counter my team with his own, but if a sub battles a challenger a number of times they kind of get to know what to expect with their team, and since challengers can't change their species that leaves little up to the imagination when it comes to battling them for real. And leaders/e4 can change their team WHENEVER they want :v

I see what you mean. Polar also had some....similar feelings as well. The problem is though is that it seems like we don't have enough people who are willing to sub for others. Most of the subbing has been done by me, Polar, and Krystia. I agree that we need to mix it up a bit so that kind of thing doesn't happen so much (and it makes it more fun too), but it's hard to do that when there's only like 3 or 4 active subs; you'd run out eventually.

I suppose that you can request to not have someone as a sub when you need one though.

Or it'd be great if some other people stepped up and decided to help sub too.

Or if we didn't need to have people sub as often as we have.

The activity curve is bending - we have been needing more subs as of late. All I can really think to do though, is poke the people who aren't there for the leader spots, warn them of replacement, and promote the thing elsewhere to bring new active blood in to make said replacements :v

On the leader-sub-leader issue though, challengers are explicitly allowed via the OP to choose their subs, so if you don't wanna play someone as a sub, you really can just say "no thank you" lol.

Speaking of, I know I sub a fair amount, but if anyone dooooes need one and doesn't dislike playing me, I am available for that :P

PS - I need a sub for Lobrix still heheh.

I would probably going to go against your argument.
1) I honestly fought your team for the second time. The first time I didn't really have a team ready I got really lucky with crits. If it wasn't for that crit my chances of winning were 40% in my favour. I only prepare all the dark and ghost I have around lol (Sableye), and wanted to test out Houndoom
2) Polar will make a little more sense since I have battle him a few times. I kind of know his strategies.
3) When I used Illumise I didn't really expected you to switch to Espeon. I was so shock when my attack got lower by myself xD. However, you switching to Espeon when I did baton pass was on my own risk because you could of use Fiery dance ~

Anyways, I still strongly believe that we, challengers, should have at least one or two extra pokemon. It will help GYM leaders to no make counters Pokemon. Mixing up people's mind. I believe one extra Pokemon will be great ~

I was sick all week but I'm going to try and get more things done [I had about 7 banners done last sunday]. I understand this is important to the league's promotion and growth so I'll try and plan my time to work efficiently

Eh, I think that's alright, just as long as you aren't using only one of your types and neglecting the other. If you feel you can make a better team by focusing more on one of your types, go for it.
