Seriously wish Game Freak would stop with all the creepy lines like this that they usually give to female trainers, like the standard "why are you looking at me" line that about half the Lass trainers in every single game use.

it's incredible how they managed to forget everything they knew about character development and building up the villains ever since bw2. even SM did "surprise" villains better than this

There was a study done a while back, where scientists found out that people's lungs can taste the bitterness in the air. The lungs have identical taste receptors to the ones in the mouth that are designed to detect bitter tastes but the difference is they do not send nerve impulses to the brain. Then again, in general, when you breathe through your mouth open then you can feel something akin to taste, the small particles that play with your taste buds. In a polluted area, the taste would be unpleasant but out in the woods that has a healthy environment, the air tends to taste crisp.

In regards to what I think felt out of place in Pokemon well, my answer is Sword and Shield's entire story.
