I want to make a novelty Pikachu.
So hows this?

Pikachu @ Light Ball **Tackler
Jolly | 252 Spd / 216 Atk / 40 HP
~Volt Tackle
~Iron Tail
~Brick Break
~Fake Out/Tbolt/Twave

The name is a reference to my first Pikachu on Yellow.
Iron Tail and Brick Break for coverage.
The last slot is undecided. Fake out for Extra damage/Focus Sash Prevention, TBolt for Skarm and Twave for support.

The EVs are to make its attack 400 after Light Ball and then the rest are for some kind of compensation for VT recoil.

I intend to give it the following IVs: 25+/ 31 / x / x / x / 31

Any Suggestions?

Roost? Give it choice specs...and replace roost with hidden power. Seriously, the thing is so fragile that it's like putting recover on a Zam. Heck, it's probably too fragile to switch in with specs, maybe life orb it.

Ice Beam actually near guarantees a OHKO on Dragons, Unlike avalanche =/

Hydro pump 2hkos Skarm, Forry, Weezing etc.

Gliscor set is fine, Stone Edge / Aerial Ace / Ice Fang >>>> Rock Slide.

Whats with all the sp.def on Blissey, oh well if you must, Aura Sphere and Focus Blast scare you right lol ? Go Calm 252 DEF / 212 SP.DEF / 40 SP.ATT This stops ALL special attackers dead and can survive and Nasty plot Adabtability Hyper beam from Porygon-z =). You dont loose much def either, Calm gets 118 def and bold 130, so not much lost.

Toxic spikes is fine due to gliscor, so you dont have to worry about Hera.


Sweepers are up to you, what are you thinking or what would you like to use/have available sweeper wise ?

Id like to see something steel or Outrage Scarf chomp kinda rips those apart.
 
Stone Edge and Rock Slide suck on Gliscor, go AA or Ice Fang. Knock Off is cool over SR, especially since many Mixperts have SR anyways (over roar a lot).

Hera will destroy Gliscor with a guts boost...it'll destroy anything with a guts boost if played right :0 Be careful if you use toxic spikes, VERY careful.

Gliscor still takes squat from anything Hera throws at it, even with a guts boost, stone edge does around 30% ish. EVEN iwith a Choice Band AND GUTS boost it still fails to 2hko Gliscor with Stone edge.

I disagree on stone edge just because it only has 80% accuracy it doesnt mean it sucks , Stone Edge deals with very dangerous threats, Gyarados, slamence AND Heracross to some extent in one moveslot, thats like saying fire blast sucks on Dragon Dance salamence.




Yeah you need something that can take Outrages

- Calm mind
- Surf

Rest allows you to heal.

Calm mind makes you near invincible after a few, maybe not as much this get, but its still awesome and very hard to take out after a couple.


Surf gets STAB.

Raor allows you to phaze and it effective on stopping foes attempts to stat up or status you. Its also effective for shuffling stealth rock and/Or Spikes through your opponents team. Ice Beam provides you additional coverage vs dragons, bulky ground types and grass, although the latter is rare, stuff like Tangrowth may cause you problems. Hidden power Electric allows you to counter Gyarados and hit other bulky waters.

I don't know how people consider Salamence, Garchomp and all those other Dragons any kind of threat. If one decides to join the fight against my team, the maximum that they'll do is KO one Pokemon. THat's when my Weavile comes in and then it takes one ice punch and it's done.

Why would anybody in their right mind keep Mence in against Weavile anyways?

Stone Edge sucks on Gliscor because it has no business staying in on Gyarados or all but CBmence, and Ice Fang does that way better anyways. Come on, Waterfall obliterates Gliscor while you stone edge it...and...nothing really happens. Ice Fang will also destroy Gliscor. It in no way deals with Gyarados, plain and simple. Gyarados beats Gliscor 100% of the time, unless it's without waterfall or ice fang, which is very rare.

it deals with heracross, Gyarados and Salamence all with ONE MOVESLOT, thats what im getting at.

Impish 6 att Gliscor does

Defender HP: 384
Damage: 139 - 164
Damage: 36.20% - 42.71%

To 212 HP / 180 def adamant Gyarados

With stealth rock thats a 2hko =/. and Stone edge therefore beats salamence aswell.

Its not meant to stay in on these threats its meant to predict they switch in, chip away at them when they switch in and get the hell out, then repeat the process.

I think Gliscor may be faster before bulky Gyara DD's aswell.

EdgeQuake also has awesome coverage, however ice Fang takes out Garchomp etc and Aeriel Ace is mainly used for stab and Hera.


CB Weavile is better with Ice Shard anyways, as it can actually beat scarfchomp.

Are those calcs including the intimidate Atk drop?

Andf now I can pick on Stone Edges other flaws, like poor accuracy and PP. What happens to gliscor when stone edge misses? Yeah, it has to run off. And it misses A LOT (coming from a CBmence user). The PP is 5...that's absolutely terrible (8 with PP up is no better, especially with the prediction game)

It's like relying on thunder to beat a suicune...it can get risky. Gliscor can't take waterfall.

Even if you take some health from Gyara or Mence, they can play the prediction game and whittle away at Stone edge's PP, and then it's a safe switch-in. Not to mention that I've had fire blast on my CBmence in ADV miss 3 straight times, and it has BWETTER accuracy than stone edge.

EDIT: Catching gyara on the switch isn't enough to warrant a moveslot anyways.

It's gonna be a huge pain in the arse to get one, but would Jirachi work? @_@(kills Weavile as well 8D)
