Reviving an old franchise

Dark Cloud 3 is what I would want. I loved everything about the dark cloud games.

The dungeon exploration was fun, along with a cool selection of monsters to fight. The weapon evolving system was amazing to me as a kid, killing monsters to gain exp for your weapon then fusing crystals with it so your weapon could transform, I can't recall ever seeing a weapon system like that in a video game since then. What's better than clubbing enemies with a frozen tuna that evolves into a turtle shell hammer which then becomes a gigantic mallet? Although Bone Rapier to Evilcise was my preferred weapon line.

Plus the village reconstruction aspect was always fun too. Even though you had certain requirements that has to be met, you could still design the villages how you wanted.

The Dark Cloud series practically defined the PS2 for me and I've been wanting a third installment for well over a decade now. I'd say DC3 might be the only game that would get me to buy a new PS system.

My partner wants a Dark Cloud 3 too.
But, they also feel that Dark Chronicle (Dark Cloud 2) didn't really feel like a sequel.
It was too different, and barely any references to the previous instalment to be considered a true sequel.

I will echo Angie's desire for moar Xenosaga, but to do more than just echo, I'd also like to see one more, really good Grandia game and Phantasy Star game

major part of my childhood right there and would like to see them have one more go

or at least for PSO2 to get released outside of Japan....actually that'll never happen, so just remake the original PSO Episodes 1/2/4 and I'd be good

lmao.

I love all of these classics mentioned in here for sure, really saddening though because this means I'm reminded of all these classics which don't see the light of day...

I'm picking Devil Dice and Kurushi for games/etc I'd love to see revived. They're hugely infectious and considering these were either release titles or very early PSOne days, they can bring so much more to the table with a 2019 revamp!!!!

*Walks into the topic, wearing an business suit.*
*Ahem* EVERYTHING IN THE GAMER'S OBSCEUREA TOPIC!!!!

XD But If I was held to a wall and had to pick a few games from the massive list of games in there?...

Oni ~ A game published by Rockstar and created by Halo's Bungie; A fighter blended with FPS; not like the fighter from Iron Phoenix on Xbox Original or the classic 'Savage XR.' This is a better made blend of both Genre's into one and the story is pretty solid. A crime caper with old fashion 1990's Anime Art, Animation and cheese... Well, not literal cheese, but this is a title that needs or rather must have a revival or at least a port put on Gog.

SolatoRobo ~ This is a game that came out on the Nintendo DS. The world is full of Anthropomorphic Cats, Dogs, moles and so on and it takes place in the sky. The entire world is nothing but floating islands, air ships - Think Skies of Arcadia.... And it's beautiful, I mean the whole world is a freaking, living canvas! The islands, the airships, the culture, every inch, every pixel, every denizen and citizen of this world is beautiful. The Game's story is intriguing, the mechanics are easy to grasp; it's just a beautiful world and a beautiful game. If I had the talent and proper artists and a composer, I'd make my own remake to the game itself. I played this title to the end and I still want more...... "But there isn't any-" MORE!

I feel they'd have to release Mother 3, before hand.
But, that'd depend on if the events of 4, are related to the events of 3.

Agreed. Most of them have been loosely connected, and I think they all happen under the same timeline (EarthBound Beginnings, EarthBound, and Mother 3). If a Mother 4 were to be created, I think it's a safe bet for it to be related to the events of 3.

Definetely Okami, I mean, there hasn't been a "new" (Okami HD DOES NOT count, cuz that was a rerelease of the original game, just with a few changes and HD graphics.) Okami game in over 9 years.

Jet Set Radio 3, and the fate for the series would be a tough one to choose, but I think I'll go with one last very well done great flawless game so the series stays a perfect series to me.
