I love Rotom. <3 I just hope they heard the feedback from players and will tone down the advice and such. This could be a chance to mend my li'l plasmic partner's reputation. ;_;

...Actually, this raises a question - is Rotom Dex in this game going to have the same personality and speech mannerisms as it did in S/M/US/UM? I mean, that's probably gonna be it, but it doesn't make sense if you think about it - the Rotom inside the Galar Pokedex is probably a different individual than the one inside the Alola Pokedex.

EDIT: Oh my gosh, what if this Rotom is Alola-Rotom's child?? I doubt they're gonna go this route, though. But if it's not outright contradicted...I may have found my new headcanon.

I have a headcanon running, too, that I hope doesn't get totally contradicted. Since the Galar protags look a bit older than the Alolan ones, I'm hoping to play this as kind of a "sequel", with the same main character. It's my first time really doing that in a Pokémon game. I hope the personality is similar and familiar.

It would be cool at some point to carry over a suitcase of clothing items and room decorations in the series. The start of each game really would feel like moving into Your Room and unpacking. I doubt that will ever happen, but I can dream. It would be cool to visibly see achievements with the franchise on your body (as with some of the items in Pokémon GO) and in Your Room, spanning across Generations and Regions.

I miss Room decoration. I hope it comes back in some form, whether it's Your Room, Villa, Secret Base, or all of the above.

By the way, did anyone notice that the MC's Rotomphone is red, but Hop's (the rival's) is blue? And the Rotomdrone in the stadium is yellow. I love it if we get to choose our Rotom's color this time, and if it can come out of the device and join the battle or camping! I hope it's possible to customize the bicycle color, too.

I'm a fan. Not a huge fan of the Rotom Dex from Gen VII, but this looks way cooler. Rotom is such an interesting Pokemon being able to possess electronics, it's great seeing them expandthat lore. The Rotom Dex was annoying in Gen VII but I don't think that'll be the case here. They were using the touch screen less and less in Gen VII, in what I assume was for an easier transition into Gen VIII, so I guess they just put the Rotom Dex on there as filler; Switch is single screen so there really isn't any reason to constantly shove it in the players face. Liking this direction they're taking Rotom so far especially with it being a camera during Gym battles, hope it continues with future games!

If Rotom doesn't start talking at me every 10 seconds about how i ahould go do this when I'm just trying to catch pokemon and explore at my own pace then I'll be good. It was so hand holdy in Gen 7 I stopped playing SMUsUm...

According to the website, we get to see Rotom computers as well! (Apparently Rotom are not as rare as we thought, haha.)

There's a whole new PokéJob system that the C refers to. Curious though that the English trailer didn't mention this at all.

Rotom dex was horribly annoying(both in game and in the anime, fight me).
I hope Rotom-phone-dex will be less annoying not having a screen all to itself to annoy you when all you want to do is check the map.
Also, why is it's name pronounced "Row Tom" and not "Row Tum"?

I didn't originally comment on this thread when the Rotom Phone was first revealed, but I think I've formed an opinion on it. I'm totally okay with Rotom phone being a thing, as long as it doesn't talk to you nonstop. If it does, count me out, lol. It's interesting, though, how Rotom is so versatile that it can now embody a phone, and computer.

I wonder if Rotom will put itself in the Pokedex this time, though, LMFAO. (I doubt it. But it'd be hilarious.)

Is it me, or does the phone Rotom that appeared in the trailer seem to have markings that resemble eyelashes?? Going by the conventions of cartoon designs, does that mean this one is going to be a female-coded Rotom? (I know Rotom is technically genderless, but there was a part in Su/Mo when Kukui says "hey, boy" to the Rotom that's about to go in your Pokedex...)

The PC looks a lot like an ATM to me. Maybe it's just the design, but that's what I immediately saw? I wonder if we log into the PC with our phone?
