RPG Music/Boss Battle Themes

    Idk about you, but it's really hard for me to focus in one or two songs from RPGs that I can say are "the best". That's just me.

    But how about your opinion? Are there any songs or themes that you really love and could confidently say are your favorites?

    For the sake of my sanity, I'm not going to look too far in the past to pick favorites from every RPG that I've ever played. I will say that Death by Glamour (Undertale), Blinded by Light (Final Fantasy XIII) and Serpent Eating the Ground (Bravely Default) have caught my attention recently as I've replayed them or revisited the music. One series in particular that never fails to impress me in terms of music is Final Fantasy.

    Anyways, I'm just curious what your opinions are since I'm always looking for new games and new music.
     
    Just moving this over to Video Games as it fits that audience better.

    And Oh Yes, there are so many great boss battle themes and RPG themes that are my favorites. I probably can't pick a single one to come up on top, but two extremely good ones come from Undertale imo:


    Asgore's theme is just a very well composed and catchy song. Way too happy for the fight haha but it really fits still.-


    As my friend put it when he first showed me this before I even played the game: this is the kind of music you want to beat up a final boss to. So much final hope let's go get em or die trying feels here.

    Ahh sorry about that!

    I agree with you, Bergentr?ckung is a really good theme and I feel like the soundtrack overall is outstanding. One of my favorite characters is Mettaton, so naturally Death by Glamour is one of my favorite songs. Some of the less recognized songs are the Waterfall theme and His Theme. Those still give me chills replaying the game now.

    It's funny because originally I was a little hesitant to play the game but my best friend was like ohh you have to play this so I did and wow do I love it.
     
    I've always loved this theme, even though I've never reached this battle myself:



    Rookie and Popple theme from this game is also really nice.

    Hyperion slaughter challenge. It just works. I could use this as typical running tunes and i could run 50 laps. Borderlands 2 has some of the most entertaining battle themes and those coming from the slaughter challenges are exemplary specimens of musical artistry.

    So beautiful! It gets me pumped every time ^-^. Tears Song when the battle ending is also very beautiful.

    Also very beautiful! And such a touching moment in the game. It's not often that a game brings me to tears. Abyss did it in every God-General battle ^-;.

    Fatalize from Tales of Symphonia which is a few posts above also pumps me up!

    Other Tales fans have harsh opinions about Zestiria, but I'm sure we can all agree it has one of the best OSTs of all Tales games.

    Loss of me from Final Fantasy 9 is particularly beautiful. Never played 9, but it's nice to appreciate all the same.


    Xenoblade Chronicles with its iconic boss theme, Obstacle In Our Path/One Who Gets In Our Way:


    And the ever-amazing You Will Know Our Names, the theme when fighting Unique Monsters (Superbosses/Minibosses) in Xenoblade as well.
     
    Okay I needed to post again because of this theme. I just finished playing Megadimension Neptunia VII yesterday and the final boss theme blew me away.



    The change at 2:13 left my jaw on the floor cause I accidentally timed it with my character's skill attack against the boss.
