School Chit-Chat

I didn't get any b-day punches! I was afraid my friend's dad was going to when she told him it was my b-day. I like my b-day being on weekends too. I hate going to school on my b-day. But at least it was on a half day for the 2nd year in a row...

Even though my birthday is only 4 months away. But it feels very far away. This always happens, Whenever I want a certain day to come, the days get so slow.

My birthday isn't for another 9 months. Consider yourself lucky. :P
The same thing happens to me with days getting so slow. Even though Colosseum comes out next week, it feels like it'll take forever to get here.

For school today, we watched movies in 2 classes, and I got homework in Math. We have a test in Biology tomarrow.

Tomorrow is going to be so long... I haven't had full-length classes all week. Monday we have all eight periods so they ar eonly 40min instead of 50. Tuesday, school was let out early so I had less classes than normal. Yesterday and today were half days too so the classes were once again short. Tomorrow we have a full day. Maybe this weird snow will keep up and we can have a delay...

I have a spanish test tomorrow... on something. Yeah, I don't really know what it's on. Oh, well. But hopefully tomorrow will be a fairly easy day...

My school only has 6 periods. It was 7, but money had to be saved. But a "0" hour was made, where some classes are held before school starts. I don't have that though. So school doesn't start for me until 9:15 am. :P It ends at 3:30 pm.

Are you serious? You start at 9:15 and end at 3:30. I wish it could be like that for me... we start at 7:40 and end at 2. That's so early to wake up... I'd love to go to school for 9... 8 even...

They cut a period to save money? That's a little odd... we have 8 and we can also have independent study, which is sorta what you were describing... but I think it would be after not before school...

My school has 7 periods. School starts at 7:25 AM and ends at 1:50 PM. Except on Tuesdays and Thursdays we have "block" scheduling. On Tuesdays we have an hour and a half of periods 1, 3, 5 (only an hour because of lunch), and 7. On Thursdays, we come in at 7:50 AM because of the teacher's prep period and meeting--then we have periods 2, 4, 5, and 6. All other three days are 7 periods and about forty-five minutes long. I wish I could go into school at 9:15...*_*

We have block sceduling too... on Tues-Fri. But ours is just on Tuesday we miss periods 1 and 5. Wednesday we miss 2 and 6. Thursday we miss 3 and 7 and on Friday we miss 4 and 8. But we always go in and end at the same time. Just that the classes are longer on Tues- Fri.

I like the early morning school! There's so much more time to do things in the afternoon!
Wow, and I thought 6 periods were a lot!
We always have block scheduling. You learn to get used to it hehe....

True... there is more time in the afternoon, but I wouldn't mind an extra hour in the morning. I'm too tired to work before 8 in the morning.

8 periods are a lot... and things still don't fit in my schedule. Mine is always full with stuff that is required. My only electives are Spanish... which is sorta required in a way. And the other is chorus. There is just no room for anything.

Block scheduling isn't bad. You do get used to it. In middle school they had this weird version of block scheduling where you miss certain classes on certain days, but the order of the other classes is in not particular order... it was hard to memorize that schedule. My cousins have a 6 day rotation schedule or something. That would confuse me so much...

I have to go to school at 7:30 and go there 8:00. It's so hard to sleep at 10 and wake up at 7. I just wake up for about a second then I fall asleep again. Then my dad would have to throw a cold wet towel in my face and that's basically how I start the morning. :P
The good thing is that I leave at 2:20.

Exactly... I can't wake up in the morning either. I get up at 7 too... an leave aroung 7:30 since I live so close to the school. But I still have problems getting up. I set my TV to turn on 5 min before 7 to slowly wake me up and I usually end up falling asleep for another 15 minutes. It's a good thing I shower at night... otherwise I would never get to school on time. And I can't believe I used to complain about it being to early when I was in elementary school and I had to start and hour later than I do now... One problem could be the fact that I don't fall asleep until aroung midnight or 11:30 due to the fact I usually am doing my homework that I didn't finish around that time. But I have found that the earlir I go to sleep... the later I wake up. It's weird...

Heck, mine was really confusing. We had block scheduling every Wuesday and Wednesday, Tuesday being 2,4,6, and Wednesday being 1,3,5.....on A weeks. On B weeks, we had 6,4,2 on Tuesdays, and 5,3,1 on Wednesdays. It took a lot of getting used to!

A wet towel? I'm glad I get none of that! Hehe....

It's not just me then...good.
I know it always happens to me also. One time I got sick so I slept around 7pm and woke up around 12am. And I couldn't believe I was still drowsy and yawning.

Ok... ready for my middle school scedule. I just found it so here goes...
This is my 7th grade one... 8th was similar though...
Monday: D, Unified Arts, Unified Arts, C, Lunch, E, B
Tuesday: E, Flex, Unified Arts, A, Lunch, D, B
Wednesday: A, Unified Arts, Flex, C, Lunch, E, D
Thursday: C, Unified Arts, Unified Arts, A, Lunch, B, D
Friday: A, Unified Arts, Unified Arts, C, Lunch, E, B

Wow... that was even confusing to type. It seems to be in no order whatsoever.
BTW: Flex is a study hall... and one was full band. ANd Unified Arts was band for one period then the other we rotated through classes like tech ed, art, and home ec.

...........ow.
*rubs his eyes*
That is confusing! I guess I had it lucky!
....you have two of the same classes in one day? That's rather odd....

Oh, and like you said earlier, I'm the same way. Whenever I go to sleep earlier I wake up later. I also feel more tired when I am woken up.
.....except on Saturdays. Despite what time I go to sleep, I always seem to wake up just in time for Pokemon!
Hehe....

Isn't it confusing. At least my schedule this year isn't like that. Every class is numberend not assigned a letter. And the classes follow number order now. I didn't remember it being that confusing though. You get used to it after a while. But I do remember people always asking me what period we had next and stuff... I don't blame them now.

No, we didn't have the same class twice. If you're referring to the unified arts thing then... the 1st one was band and the 2nd was art or tech ed or something. I know it even confuses me!

So it's not just me with the go to sleep early and sleep late thing. Good! Yeah, Sunday morning I always, well almost always, wake up on time for pok?mon. Yes, mine is Sunday at 8. It's messed up...

*sigh* If only I didn't have to go to school during sunday's, I'll be able to do so much in PC.

OMG, it's like we're all sorta alike. :P I also wake up in time for Pokemon. I always set the alarm but I wake up before it goes off.

Yeah, it's very confusing! I'm glad I didn't have all that in my school!

Pokemon Sunday morning? School on Sunday? That's rather strange! I could never imagine having to do things like that hehe.....

I forgot to say this, but we got a new peice of music today in Band called "Jubile". I'm the only one who plays snare drum for it. I play for almost every measure, and there are like 329 measures. Talk about a sore arm. :P

Yes, Pok?mon is on at 8 on Sunday mornings here in Connecticut. Why? I don't know. It's been that way since around 2000. They air The Celebration of the Eucharist at 10 both Saturday and Sunday.

Today I had a 90 minute delay!!! I was so happy. We didn't have full length classes all week! I didn't even know it was going to snow this morning.

Remember my civics mock-trial? Well, today we found out the results. I lost mine... but I saw that coming. I mean, one of the girls on the opposing side was a senior in a sophomore class and she was on the debate team. One thing that was funny was in one of the other cases one of the guys on the BOE kept shouting out "DUE PROCESS!" He didn't even know what due process was but he kept trying to make a point using it. My teacher keeps making fun of him for it too...

I got my class ring today too... we were supposed to get them on Tuesday but it was a half day and we needed to get them during lunch periods. I like mine. It has my birthstone on it and around it, it says Wethersfield H.S. On one side it says 2006 and has an eagle and on the other side it says Ashley and has a volleyball with the number 4 in it. It's really pretty in antiqued white gold...
