School uniform is something that every school student has to wear, however once you enter college, that no longer applies, and you can wear what ever you want.

Do you like your uniform? What does it look like?

I don't like my school's uniform /: It's basically a white polo-shirt, with a black jumper with the schools logo on it, and plain black trousers with awful shoes! :C We are aloud to wear Leather Plimsolls though... C: It's the same for girls, although they're aloud cardigans and skirts, although they go overboard and wear skirts that are basically like rags. :C

Since it's all black, it's a nightmare in the sun! D: This year it's changing to a blazer, tie and shirt, which won't match our school, because it's awful, "scruffy" as it's so nicely put.

    Huh, our uniforms are similar.
My school's old uniform was a bottle green polo shirt, bottle green sweatshirt, and black trousers.
My school's current uniform is a a white shirt, tie, black blazer with the school logo, and black trousers (and optional skirts and stockings for girls).

Not every school makes you wear a uniform... especially in the US. Just sayin'.

However, I'm definitely not from the US and definitely HAD to wear a school uniform for the entirety of my education. In primary school, it was a white polo shirt with a maroon jumper and grey trousers. At the time, I hated it; now, looking back, it was actually quite nice. Some of my friends went to private school and had to essentially wear suits from when they were 4-years-old and above. Bleh! In secondary school, all changed: blue shirt, black blazer, tie with the school colours on (blue, yellow and red in a stripey formation), black trousers. Out of all of my uniforms it was easily the most uncomfortable and fugly. My Sixth Form uniform (essentially the junior and senior years, for those confused) was a near-replica of the Harry Potter uniform. I would put a picture up, but my internet is being slow. Just picture the white shirt and red/yellow tie of Gryffindor and that was my final two years of uniform.

My school uniform consists of a black, white, green or yellow shirt with black or khaki shorts, pants or (for girls) skirts.

In my Middle School/High School, I had to wear a uniform every day and it got so annoying. The Middle Schoolers at my old school had to wear white uniform shirts and Khaki Bottoms while High Schools had to wear White Uniform shirts and Black pants.

Um... Most schools I know do not require you to wear a uniform, including mine. But ugh I hate uniforms so I'm glad my school doesn't have one. But they do have a dress code, if that counts.

I MISS MY SCHOOL UNIFORM SO MUCH. Dear god I hate getting up in the morning and looking at my clothes trying to pick out something that doesn't look horrible. It's so much more work.

Back in high school (and a bit of elementary school, though I moved around a lot), the school uniform was a white polo shirt (with the school crest on it) and black pants. Every morning I'd wake up and know exactly what to wear. No thought whatsoever. I miss that so much.

Honestly, I don't understand why people whine about having to have uniforms. I loved them, tbh. But I also don't give a damn about fashion in the least, so that's part of the reason for sure.

I used to have one, now thrown into the pits of hell. I remember how cramped they felt, but the looks people gave you while wearing one was soooooo good. Though I only went there for a year, so no biggie.

I feel like I'm the only person who hated having to wear a school uniform. I get it when people say they liked it because they never had to decide on what to wear that day, but... I like to decide what to wear for the day. I love being in university now and no longer having to wear that stupid uniform and having the freedom to pick and choose what I want and what I actually feel good wearing. Not that my uniform was ugly, I just... like to dress how I want. Perhaps I care a bit too much about fashion and how I look, and that's why I dislike uniforms so much.

I've always wanted to attend a school that had uniforms.. ;w; Though, I've only seen school uniforms in movies, and other works of fiction. I always liked the idea, because it would save from being bullied due to appearance, etc, plus a lot of them look cool.

Do you like your uniform? What does it look like?

I went through the public school system, so I never had to wear one.

My pants are coloured like desert sand, and the shirt is plain white with the school logo on it's front pocket. The black belt's belt buckle also integrates the school logo. That's pretty much it; and since it isn't much. It's easy to get into and out of. It's actually pretty light too, and I can move around like an acrobat if I wanted to.

omg omg omg omg I HATE MY SCHOOL UNIFORM SOOOO MUCH!What does it look like?
    Summer:
    - White shirt with thin light blue verticle stripes + navy blue skirt.
Sports: White polo shirt with navy blue collar + navy blue shorts with 2 white stripes each side or navy blue/white tank top + navy blue shorts
    Winter:
    - White shirt with thin light blue verticle stripers + navy blue skirt + black/navy blue tights/stockings/leggings + black/navy blue cartigan/hoodie/jacket
Sports: White polo shirt with navy blue collar + navy blue shorts with 2 white stripes each side or navy blue/white tank top + navy blue shorts

(I think that was the longest post I made on PC o.o)

    Do you like your uniform?
    During my first year of High School, I was a little hesitant towards wearing them, but now I don't mind it so much. I kinda like it, I guess. xD;

    What does it look like?
Both Winter and Summer shirts are light blue. Winter with long sleeves, and the type of collar designed for a tie. The Summer shirts have short sleeves, and just a normal collar.
The Tie's base is brown, with yellow and white stripes as a pattern diagonally.
    The pants are dark grey.
The P.E uniform is just a yellow polo shirt, with short sleeves.
The P.E pants are brown. There are also shorts, but I don't use them.

I'm surprised at how many people in this thread have even worn school uniforms. Buncha rich private school kids in here, hah. I never had a uniform, wore pretty much whatever I wanted. Can't say that it positively or negatively affected my school experience either way. Fortunately, at my school, clothing-based discrimination was almost nonexistent (emos were the exception, but they were asking for it) and the Aeropostale folk lived in harmony with the Git-R-Done kids who in turn lived in harmony with the graphic tee people.

I went to a small private school, so I had to wear a white shirt and navy blue pants pretty much my whole time through school. I wasn't a big fan, and to this day I haven't worn a white shirt with navy blue pants since I got out of school. XD

Even the public schools around here have uniforms now though.

I went to a public school and I think every school in that school board had a uniform. But it (and every other uniform school I went to) was a Catholic school, which I'm sure is part of the reason.
