My best birthdays are the ones I just spend with family. I don't like big celebrations ^^ My 6th birthday was a huge flop bc there was too many people.

do you enjoy your birthday? do you care to celebrate it at all?
Not anymore due to the fear of growing older. I'll be turning 27 and it kinda scares me?

what ages felt weird to you?
13, 18, for obvious reasons (being a teenager, being an adult)

what are you getting me for my birthday?
Want pancakes?

i remember the first time i ws working on my birthday, i thought wow this sucks and im never doing this again

i dont think ive worked on my birthday since

also i dont usually make a big deal out of the day itself. a party is rare but when i have one its fun

I'm skipping the serious questions to tell you about my 12th and 17th birthdays.

So when I turned 12, we were doing that stupid Olympics thing in PE and we had to do that thing where you long jump in the sand. And my last name starts with W so I'm like dead last and the bell rings. I'm putting my shoes on and my best friend at the time stays behind so I won't have to walk back up the hill by myself. And he said something about it being my birthday and another friend overhears and he's all OH IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY????????? AND DUMPS SAND ON MY HEAD AND IT GETS ALL IN MY HAIR.

And when I turned 17, my boyfriend at the time threw me a surprise party...but not without cheating on me with my then best friend literally right before I got to his house. lol

I dont really have a memorable birthday that I specifically remember. I dont feel different being a day older than the previous day.

Though it is quite fun hanging with some friends on my birthday. Thats what I did last year and will most likely do again. Nothing crazy.

One of my more meh birthday experiences was during university some years ago. It was cold/flu season and I pretty much got sick. However, on my birthday for one of my classes that's when we know the results of our midterm, so I went to class. Bad idea as I think one of my friends caught my cold and I was pretty much sleepy from taking medicine and didn't pay attention while the professor was discussing the answers lol.

I can't really remember any great birthday experiences (mostly go about my day and then go back home), although at my workplace my co-workers tend to either give me cake or some other baked goods, haha.

One year in high school, my friends invited me over and baked a cake for me - it really sucked so instead of eating it we had a cake fight and threw it all over the place. I would have stayed to help clean up but my parents insisted I stop hanging out with my friends for my birthday and go with them to celebrate it with a bunch of old relatives instead.

And I think last year was the first time I ever threw a birthday party at our house - we hired some chefs to cook a Japanese-fusion meal and my aunt from Toronto came to visit for the first time in years. She made me this cake topper <3
Spoiler:

Another memorable one was when I was like 8 (yeah these are all out of order lol) - I've always liked art things and I had a party at the art supplies store Michael's that year, invited all the kids from my class and we just painted and did arts and crafts together for hours.

also HAPPY (belated?) BIRTHDAY GOD

I love my birthday. I look forward to it every single year. I'm a self-righteous attention seeking loser, so a whole day devoted to me is pretty fantastic. Plus, I love cake.

This year was my first birthday away from home and it was hard the weeks before the day actually arrived. I thought it was going to be terrible. Luckily, my husband is awesome. He made the day pretty awesome. We chilled together and just generally had a good time. My mom and dad also sent me TWO edible arrangements of chocolate covered strawberries and pineapples, which were super good. Lmao. AND my husband took my to golden corral which is my favorite place in the universe. So yeah, it was a good day, even if it was different from my other birthdays.

All my birthdays have pretty much melded together in my mind, so I can't think of any experience that was out of the ordinary for me. No big parties or anything, I think most of them were basically small family gatherings with nothing much going on (means also nothing embarrassing, thankfully). I was never a fan of big social gatherings for my birthdays anyway, just...give me a cake, maybe a trip out to dinner, and I'm set.

The worst experiences is where my parents did not even remember my birthday until 2 weeks later. I never reminded them either.

Now that I am older yes it feels weird to me. Never had normal birthday celebrations really. Remember a cake a couple of times and them saying happy birthday. Thats it!

On my 5th birthday, I came down with a 24 hour virus. I spent most of the day wrapped in a blanket and being sick. I remember it much more vividly than I do most other 'young childhood' birthdays. My best birthday was probably my 11th birthday -- sounds silly, I know -- because we all just went wild. Myself and most people from my primary school class essentially terrorised an AMF Bowling centre with our pre-teen antics. My other birthdays haven't been that remarkable.

The weirdest age for me was 17. Not old enough to buy alcohol, but old enough to drive (shame I didn't have my licence, though)!
