And actually, I didn't realise it was shiny at first. I thought "why is that vulpix colored weird? is my DS screen messing up?" I need some sleep. XD
Her name is Kyubii. Next to try some Friend Safari hunting!

Update!!! Ran around in a pal's Fire safari, Pyroar and Ponyta. 31 encounters in, a lovely blue Ponyta popped in. This place is magic!

Found a Doduo today in Friend Safari at 97 encounters.


That's the exact same number of fish chaining it took to find Corsola, my 3rd shiny. Also the drought is over, my last shiny was on the 6th. Granted I haven't done any fish chaining in awhile.

I love shiny hunting so I'm so happy to have found d this post.

My current shines are: Leavanny, Blaziken, Drifbloom, Forretress, Lumineon, Gardevoir, Gallade, Kricketot (which I'll probably evolve), Diance (which I got for a shiny Kricketune), and Regigigas, and Ninetails.

I'm currently hunting two shiny Zoruas but it's taking forever. I'm on 600+ eggs. I'm MM+ shiny charm.

I'm going around Kalos looking for shinies in horde battles and in the first horde I just encountered now on route 11, I found a shiny Stunky.

Had some good luck in Friend Safari today, about 20 minutes ago from typing this I found a shiny Tangela in 63 encounters, then after that found a shiny Electabuzz in 13 encounters.




Really happy because they are both Gen 1 Pokémon and I most want gen 1 shinies. My last 4 friend safari shinies were Butterfree, Doduo and these 2.

Found shiny Pinsir today in Friend Safari at 89 encounters. It was in a safari with Combee and Volbeat, I also caught a couple female Combees for the GTS.

Found a shiny Throh. ANd accidentally killed it after reducing it to 1hp and sending my Parasect in to use Spore on it. Parasect's effect spore kicked in and poisoned it. (I forgot it had effect spore)

20 encounters later and I find another shiny Throh which I caught.

Kinda sad though cause I'm actually going for Mankey and Riolu in this friend safari. It usually goes like that though, I go for 2 pokemon and get the 3rd I'm not going for first.

EDIT: Okay, this is getting ridiculous, I found a 3rd shiny Throh. I don't even like Throh.
2nd EDIT: And a 4th one, it's not even funny anymore.

Well, yesterday was my most successful shiny hunt day so far. Caught 3 shiny Throh, 2 shiny Riolu, a shiny Mankey, a shiny Absol and a shiny Pansear all in one afternoon.

If anyone wants one of the two spare Throh, I'd trade it for any shiny I don't have yet as long as it's not hacked.

Was running around in Friend Safari (remembered my Modest Ralts) and was rewarded with a shiny, modest Floette! Name her Hyacinth. HP and SPD IVs.

Found a shiny Clamperl today at a fish chain of 44. Was worried I'd find another Remoraid though I'll have to find 2 more Clamperl's for the evolutions.

Haven't posted in a while, but I've caught some shinies in my absence. Let's see.... I caught a phantump, rhydon, and palpitoad on X, and today I happened to catch a shiny Corphish, hatch a shiny Totodile (finally!!) and catch a shiny Zekrom (AS) and Reshiram (OR).

Yesterday I caught a Shiny Poliwhirl, finishing the Poliwag line. It's also the first Poliwhirl I've caught fish chaining, my Poliwrath and Politoed were both caught as Poliwags. It appeared at 81 reels on a fish chain.


Today I found a Shiny Skrelp at 105 reels. I want to evolve it into Dragalge but it is lv. 25 and evolves at 54 so maybe later.




Finally I found a Shiny Audino in Friend Safari at 88 encounters.

Oh there's a shiny club! A really old one at that, wow. Heya! I'm fairly new. I notice the OP said to list what shinies I own so here I go. I've got a shiny: Zoroark, Raichu, Dewott, Sylveon, Smeargle, Pikachu, Electrike, Steelix, Spinda, Exploud, Blaziken, Simisage, Rapidash, Garchomp, Mawile, Ambipom, Klinklang, Gengar, Shinx, Pidgeotto and Giratina.

All these have been acquired through a mix of random encounters, breeding, Friend Safari, chaining, soft resetting, and Dexnav.

My latest one was the Shinx, which I got a few days ago by chaining in Platinum. After unsuccessfully trying to chain all day, I finally got it after a chain of just 10!

I'm not currently looking for any shinies at the moment. I'm taking a small break because Kirby Robobot released, and the Rhythm Heaven Megamix so I've been caught up in those. I'll get back to shiny hunting after that though.

omg, a shiny hunters club! i was looking for one for the last ten minutes.. in all the wrong forums. :8:
the shinies i currently have (excluding ones ive gotten over wonder trade or through giveaways) are haxorus, charizard, noctowl, and ampharos. haxorus and charizard i got through friend safari, ampharos i got through horde encounters, and the noctowl was pure luck.

as you can see, im kinda new to shiny hunting with a measly four shinies, but the reason i have so few is mostly because i dont have the shiny charm yet and hunting is a pain without it. once i get the shiny charm, i will try breeding for a shiny eevee, but im missing about 100 pokemon in the pokedex so that could take a while.

I love shiny hunting so I'm so happy to have found d this post.

After a lengthy break from Shiny Hunting I am back to Shiny Hunting and have had a very fortunate past couple of days.

White 2 - Paige

Shiny Male Dratini (Lance) - Obtained in White 2 after completing the White Treehollow. He has an Adamant Nature and is now a Shiny Green Dragonite. The Green on Dragonite reminds me of a traditional European Dragon and is a colour scheme I like a lot. I will use him in the PWT and Subway.

X - Stephanie

Shiny Nidoran Male (Amodeus) - Found whilst horde hunting. The blue Nidoran popped up on the far right of the horde. He has a Naive Nature and is now a Blue and White Nidoking. The Dark blue and white on Nidoking works really well and for me is a case of a Shiny looking gar better than his normal form. I think I will breed a regular Nidoran female, evolve her into Nidoqueen and pair them up to see how they work in battle.

Shiny Male Cubchoo - Found whilst horde hunting. He has a Hardy Nature and the Snow Cloak ability. I already have a Shiny Beartic (Female) so will likely keep this little guy as an adorable Cubchoo.

Shiny Male Riolu (Lucian) - Found in a Fighting Type Friend Safari. My friend Safari luck is notoriously bad so I was extra pleased to find a Yellow Riolu. He has a Timid Nature and perfect IV's in Defence, Special Attack and Special Defense. Lucario is not a Pokémon I have used extensively but creating a Special focused Yellow Lucario sounds like a fun idea.

Trying to hunt for a shiny Shroomish on my Alpha Sapphire, but since I don't have the Shiny Charm... it's taking forever. I caught my Zigzagoon from a horde encounter, so it's not super strong or anything.

I've made the terrible decision to try a Shiny Nuzlocke (see challenge thread for Nuzlocke). If I want to catch a Pokemon from any given route, I've added the - insane - rule that it must be shiny lol

Caught my Zigzagoon as my "starter" and now I've been stuck on Route 104 and Petalburg Woods trying to get a shiny Taillow or Shroomish respectively. I was doing extremely well chaining Taillow on Route 104, but their levels got too high for my Linoone hunting team to be able to defeat after a certain point.

UPDATE: Just fainted a shiny Magikarp while chaing fishing... guess this Lileep is stronger than I thought :(

MORE UPDATE: Caught a shiny Tentacool in Dewford Town and another shiny Magikarp on Route 104.
