SMT x Fire Emblem

looks fairly persona-esque so far with very little resemblance to the fire emblem series. but...

I did get a glimpse of SMT in the trailer (albeit a small one). There was a bit of the futuristic underground-Tokyo vibe. Moreover, the cutscene to Tokyo's desolation near the end is screaming SMT and not persona. Maybe this is also a fusion of persona and smt to an extent. Meaning, a transition from Persona, in which there malevolent forces infiltrating modern day Japan, to SMT's post-apocolyptic Japan. Afterall, if you have played SMT you will be familiar with big evil corporations promoting evil...the music industry may be a clever way of given context to how the evil had infiltrated culture and economics through big corporations. This is just a theory though.
 
It sounds like this is turning more into Persona x FE, which is all right I guess, but it's not what they billed it as and that's a bit disappointing. I know a lot of people who are let down by what it's turning out to be.
 
This is not what I wanted out of a SMT and Fire Emblem crossover

In fact it seems like a crossover of my least favourite aspect of both.

EDIT: It doesn't even seem like Persona.

Regardless I'll take it as a whole new thing rather than an actual crossover. So far what I'm seeing? Not liking it, but I'll save judgement till I see more footage. Either way, still incredibly disappointed this isn't the SMTxFE that the old 2013 teaser showed.

From you point of view. Imo, Persona and SMT aren't that different. They are fundamentally based on the SMT base so I wouldn't say they are that different to have something absolutely new fused.
