Sniffles 😭

Do tv shows, movies, books or songs ever make you cry?

I was rewatching The Godfather 2 last night, and my eyes grew misty when Frankie Five Angels and Tom met near the end, i.e the When a plot against the emperor failed exchange. I tried to be tough and blink back the tears, but couldn't keep my eyes completely dry.

Normally it takes real events to make me cry, but now and then creative content can do it, when those characters seem so alive their suffering hits like it's something that really happened, maybe aided by great acting or writing.

Earlier this year I also read this beautiful short called Paper Menagerie by Ken Liu, and when the letter from Jack's mother was read to him I just sobbed like a baby.

What about you, do you always keep your composure, or is there some e/m that will break you? If yes, share!

Oh, yes.
The ending to the three (I think) part "The Shining" miniseries(?) that came out years ago literally never fails to make me very emotional.
Watching my favorite moment in my favorite cartoon also has that effect, and if you're curious what that is, just look at my current flair/profile background lol. :p
I'm sure there are some songs that do it as well, but none are coming to mind right now... And I'm sure with more thought I could come up with at least a couple more shows or movies, but I might update this later if any of those come to mind.

I cry easily! So there are a lot of moments in certain shows or games that I think about that make me want to cry, even if they're not meant to be sad. Thinking about how important a scene can be for a character or when they finally overcoming whatever trouble they've been facing is really emotional to me. I'm not someone who really watches TV shows or movies so I don't have specific examples to give, but there are certain songs that I really like to listen to when I cry or want to cry.

As of yet, I can't think of any media that's actually made me cry. I've definitely felt emotional watching plenty of things but nothings ever full on broken me. Honestly, I frequently feel a little envious of people who can be that deeply touched by things. I tend to think maybe I'm missing out.
