Spyro, Drake, Jak & Daxter - The Playstation Fan Club

Which game? Hmm... I will be lying to myself if I didn't wanted to be Kingdom Hearts it! hehehe :3

But yeah that is just my opinion, let's see what all others got :3
 
I like the idea of doing a game from the Kingdom Hearts series as the first Weekly Feature. As for a specific game in that series, I would go with Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep since the events in that game take place ten years before the events of Kingdom Hearts.
 
Never played Kingdom Hearts, tbh, but I would love to see it as the first weekly feature nonetheless. It was widely popular then, and still popular now. I wish I played it though, instead I got games that shoot people. xP

Also, Zoro, forgot to mention in my first post that I also owned the PSP, hence the other posts. xD Already added in for ya xD

PS Systems you own/have owned: PS2 (both models, but I currently only own the slim model), PS3 (formerly a slim 120 GB and currently an original 40GB that desperately needs a new hard drive for likely obvious reasons), PSP
What was your first Playstation system?: An original PS2 that eventually met its end when my 14 year old self decided it would be a great idea to smack it repeatedly when it wasn't reading discs. Needless to say that didn't work quite as well as I'd hoped.

Oh I forgot to say, I do Games Development as a hobby (Type "Legena Union Tides in the forum search engine"). And if I just acquire a developer license for Sony, you'll be seeing my projects on the bigger screen :)

The PS4 - What do you think of the 4th Gen Sony Console? Not making the mistake of skipping another Sony console, so I'll likely be getting it. :)
The PSP and PSVita - Can Sony compete in the handheld department? I'm not sure. I personally love Nintendo handhelds (I even collect them) and have never batted an eye at Sony's. Granted, Nintendo has big names like Pokemon for their handhelds, so it's difficult to pull people onto Sony's handhelds unless people don't really care for Pokemon or other big names on the 3DS, like Bravely Default. I'm personally not that interested in a PSP or PS Vita. I'd only get a PSP for Birth by Sleep and Daxter tbh.

Thanks! I'm currently upgrading it to make it more RPG like. With character growth :)
I will post about it here again when I have.

In the mean time, been playing The Legend of Dragoon. Such a classic!

Im kinda embarrassed to admit this...but what game is Legend of Dragoon? :(

@RedJ: Welcome to the Club fellow fan! You should totally replace the HDD, i did it myself just recently, its very easy!
Ill gladly give you some advice if you like

PS Systems I've owned: PS2, PS3.

The PS2 was the very first gaming device I've ever owned and it was responsible for getting me into gaming as hobby actually.

The PS4 seems amazing, but like my PS3 I'll probably buy it at the end of its cycle so that It'll already have a large collection of games that I can buy.

PSP/Vita is a huge den for action and shooters game though <3

Oh you know that'll happen! :) I plan on getting back to replaying the first game after I finish my Easter challenge. I still need to finish Jak X as well. Or at least get better at the game. I'm terrible. 8D
 
The PS4 - What do you think of the 4th Gen Sony Console?
It's great. I got to play around with one at GameStop the other day, and just simply loved it. :] Been planning to buy myself a PS4 for a while, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to save enough money. Will get it done pretty soon, though!

Haha awesome, which one out of the trilogy would you say is your favorite?
And ive never played Jak X...i just wasnt sure what to make of it, would you recommend it?
 
Wait, are we talking about Jak&Daxter?... I LOVE THE GAMES! right after my Kingdom Hearts my second favourite, hence.. why I choose Daxter to represent me.. hehehehe

Jak X... hmm, I had fun with that game, if you liked the desert driving potions in Jak 3 it's recommandable, but other than that of course not your typical Jak&Daxter game. This is why I didn't finish it either

And if I may answer your question what my favourite Jak&Daxter in the trilogy is... I would have to go with... hmm... either Jak 2:Renegade or Jak 3 ... let's just compare them, and I say what I liked about them

Jak 2:Renegade, the game was a huge step aside from the first game, with the futuristic setting of Heaven city, and the control of the Crimsons (Hope that are they called that in english, played the german version) and with that came that are other plot lines are more pushed in the focus of Jak. Who also became a better main charachter with the adding that he could speak now. With that came also many chars that you could love... and hate *cough*Razor*Cough* Which made the game bigger, and you really felt like you fought a rebellion against a system, which turned out to be... okay spoiler alert, so I am not going to write further

Jak 3 The game had an amazing precursor (hehehe punny) and it surely lifted itself as much as Jak 2 up. with a new area, new chars who were good, and then even to get to see older chars and how they changed in between the games was great too. And then just... Heaven city... so many things have changed that it felt like a new area already, and the storyline was so good... sooo good. Yeah I really liked Jak 3, and I would love to go deeper in it but don't want to spoil too much.

But I played Jak 3 more, even 100% it, so yeah... my vote for favourite trilogy game has to go to the third one :3
 
I love the Jak&Daxter games!!!!!!!
I played all the games so many times I know what all the lines from JAD: TPL to Jak X. And I know anything and everything about Jak and Daxter.

Jak X isn't the typical JAD game, since it's a racing game, but still a great game. But I would recommend it after the trilogy.
As for game completion of the games, I got over 100% on each game. Even the last frontier.
 
Wow this almosts seems to be a Jak&Daxter fan club more than a PS club xD

Daix already explained very well what made the 2nd and third game so good.
That being said, i prefer Jak II, for being so different to the first (:
They are all great games though!!
 
It's okay to talk about the games though, I mean...I don't mind *some* talk about the games, as long as we don't derail what the club's really about xP. Keep in mind of the actual topic of the club, alright kiddies? :3

Everyone seems so obsessed with Jak & Daxter, and I haven't even played the series yet. I should really give it a go. Even saw the original Jak & Daxter game at the San Diego swap meet for $7 and I regret buying it. I think that should be the weekly game feature, Zoro. :P
