Previous ones still typically had a few templates that we went through before coming to a consensus.

But hey, sometimes people are impatient. It happens ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
 
I give up on this collab too. But I'm still going to use Jynx as my signature/avatar for now lol.
 
Didn't know you could bail out of this after joining. I thought it was more of a join or not join thing.

Suppose, people here aren't capable of teaming up for some themed fun. There you have the reason why most of you don't belong to staff. :P

Also because I feel like it: inofficial videogame character+quote theme. Make a videogame character your avatar and put a quote from the game into your signature. Join in or don't.

Lastly, to a certain person who really likes to take posts from other people as an excuse to drag the mood down even more: don't you dare!

It's not a matter of us not "teaming up" as I feel that we did try to do this and it didn't really sort anything out as we are still blind to which theme we are meant to be using for the Collab.
 
People who dropped out of the collab simply have no interest in a group who can no longer decide upon a unified idea. The last three months of 2015, interest never even got to the point a theme was chosen! I waited patiently each month, but activity in the collab threads made was abysmal, or people failed to decide on a theme after plenty of time to think. An effort was made this time around, but it faded at the CSS signature stage. I figure at this point I'm better off doing unofficial collabs with friends.

Feel free to do your own thing, R.F, as we all are now. Please do not throw unnecessary shade at people with comments irrelevant to the collab discussion.
 
As Lisia said, it was just unfortunate that we couldn't make a final decision on the signatures. And remember, she also said some collabs never got off the ground due to bad timing or lack of themes to come up with.

And hey, there's always a mini-collab you could do with a friend or something, like when me and two others did a Kalos Starters collab a few years back to commemorate the X/Y announcement, and also a Black & White Kyurem collab I did around the time I became supporter.
 
i doubt we'd ever get a collab going. ever since you guys decided the square enix one, the past two collabs have been a bust so :(
 
It's true, don't let stuff like this situation deter your chances of becoming staff. The main thing that counts is your contribution to the community itself.
 
If no one is interested in continuing this collab maybe we can use this thread to discuss the specifics of what we look forward to seeing in the next collab. I think actually discussing ideas for the next collab would be much better than just hoping that the next one will be better.
 
I was about to consider this thread dead, but I like your way of thinking, honey. Hoping things will be better next time doesn't change anything.
I'm not sure where to begin, and I'm not even interested in trying a new collab immediately as I'm wanting to participate in one in the UG. But... this year marks the 20th anniversary for Pokemon! Why not some kind of collab commemorating that? Some food for thought. I'm aware that Pokemon themes are for some reason not popular as standard member collabs, even though this is a Pokemon forum. xD
 
Like Lisia said, Pokémon themes don't seem to be too popular, maybe because it was narrowed down to two types of Pokémon?

Considering it is the 20th Anniverary, this is a massive milestone for Pokémon so I feel that we need to do something to celebrate this {We just need some ideas of how to do so}. We have also gotta take into consideration that most people won't want to part with some of their current themes, as some of their CSS for example takes a while to code etc.
 
I think the biggest reason this fizzled out was the lack of input after the first few days. Like, it was big when it first came up but it just died after the theme was chosen but no sig/avatar selection was set up for quick use. I do like Eros' idea of it being community wide instead of supporter only. Has a community theme ever been done before?
