swearing

the absolute worst thing in the world is when people drop the word 'fucking' before every other word in their sentences and it just sounds painfully forced and contrived. like, I get it. you are edgy & subversive. like, I get it if you're just casually talking and it slips out, but when you're actually describing something and you keep throwing the word in when there isn't anything to emphasize it's just kind of, like, lazy, I think. that being said I swear a lot. but not in an annoying way, or at least I hope not.

I don't deliberately swear both irl and online. It's the result of how I've been raised and also because of my personal convictions. The very rare times that I do will be when I am either extremely surprised, frustrated, or annoyed. If I do let slip a word or two, I can imagine the very surprised and disapproving looks on the faces of others. They are used to me not saying those kinds of things. I don't mind when others swear though; I've become desensitized to it.

I curse like a sailor or use no curse words at all depending on the crowd I'm around. I don't really care too much about swearing. It seems like a common thing these days and it doesn't really offend me in any way, so I just accept it.

I don't swear that much, but I do swear sometimes. Its an extreme turnoff for me if I hearsomeone swear IRL, but here, I don't mind that much.

I do tend to swear anywhere between very little to a lot, depending on what is happening. I honestly don't mind swear words as they are basically words with the exact same meaning as other words. I can see why some people would be offended with the Ba and Bi word and can probably see why kids should not be saying them until a certain age, but as an adult I should not be told "Don't say that because it is swearing" because I am an adult and I know what they mean (Which again, by definition they mean the same thing as another word.)

I don't tend to swear aloud much (pretty much just when I'm angry, and even then, not that often). My thoughts tend to involve more swearing, for whatever reason, though I don't voice that too much. I don't have a problem with swearing per say, and I generally don't care if other people swear, but I do think there are situations in which it's unprofessional or inappropriate to swear (more due to cultural norms than anything else).

People would think something's wrong with me if I suddenly stopped swearing.

Bulgarian/Literature teacher: So you can swear like a sailor, but you couldn't finish your assignment?
Me: *shrugs* At least I can do that.

I swear a lot in general, but I do swear even more if someone pisses me off.

I swear a lot. Though, it's usually more when I'm excited or pissed off... or fangirling. I try not to swear at places like forums or where it's not really needed and what not. I've been careful about it lately. In real life, I've been cursing some... and my mom will 'joke' by telling me to watch my mouth, which is like... why? I never say things like the F word in real life. If I do, I say it to myself because sometimes it slips out. :x

As for views on swearing, I don't really care. However, if you're only thirteen or something and you're dropping the f bomb to be cool with your friends then... yeah, that bothers me. It's okay for young people to swear on occasion, but it depends on how old you are as well. I don't think anyone under at least thirteen should even try to swear a whole lot. It also depends on how they were raised. Sometimes, they hear it from their parents and repeat it. Then, the parents always wonder where they picked it up, not knowing they were the ones that had said it.

My mom said dammit a lot when I was really young too. So, one time I was at my grandmother's house. I got frustrated with my shoe, threw it to the ground and said "dammit" because I had heard and seen my mom do the same thing. It was actually kind of funny at the time since my grandmother looked at my mom like "wtf?". XD

I swear sometimes but I wouldn't say I do it too much.
Funnily enough, I swear more when I talk English than when I'm talking German. Maybe it's because the English speaking people I hang out with swear more so I picked it up? I don't know haha

I don't really care if others swear or not. I don't really understand why it's such a big deal to the point of censoring the words in media etc.
A word isn't gonna kill our children, I promise.

I swear when I'm legit pissed off.

It's a rarity for me to say a few words here and there. I'm not a fan of recreational swearing, but if you do see me use a swear word here and there, that just means my mouth needs to be cleaned.

I swear every sentence almost. I can not do it though, It depends who I'm around, what the situation/circumstances are, where I am etc.
I don't think i'll swear on this forums though because It just seems like a general nice place I cant imagine ruining the whole little atmosphere it has going on. But yeah I swear fucking loads.

I used to swear a lot in the past 2-3 years but now I just feel like swearing is something immature so now I never swear at all.

Online, I swear sometimes when I'm frustrated or surprised. I often use swears that I've considered to be low tier swears such as damn or sh-t. I can only recall a very few instances when I typed the f-bomb.

Offline, I don't see myself having an opportunity to verbally swear at a person or thing. I bottle up my anger and very rarely will I raise my voice. I lack personality traits where I would ever exclaim a profanity or initiate a confrontation. When I'm frustrated, I say crap. I move on to something fun to blow off some steam. When I'm angry at someone, I call them rude, a jerk, illogical or impossible person, a monster with a nasty personality, or my highest "swear" would be that the person is being a dick. When I got off the phone with a belligerent customer and then told my co workers that the guy was being a dick, they were pretty shocked/disturbed I kinda just used a swear.

I don't like hearing swears because my parents and brothers have exhausted every swear and every combination of a swear around me. The words are easier to type than to utter.

I swear on a daily basis. I just picked up on it from my Mom and then my cousins (even more). It's not a big deal anymore to anyone in my family lmao.
