Team?

It'll depend on what is available in game, but since I have a 7th Gen Living Dex on Bank I might just use those. I had an all-birb team in Moon, so maybe I'll try something different this time around.
 
Oh and since I'll be buying Moon, I get to use Drampa.

So my team, if pokedex doesn't change is now set to

Primarina
Toucannon
Drampa
A-Marowak
A-Sandslash

toucannon might change if I get to do my mono-flying type before USUM comes out.
 
Nowadays, I use Pokemon I never used before. So far, I'm thinking Incineroar, Toucannon, Mimikyu and maybe a water type to make up for a lack of one in my Moon team.

Or maybe since the games are likely retellings of the original S/M, I might have a team of counterparts to my Moon team just for fun:
Moon team: Decidueye, Alolan Raichu, Lycanroc (Midnight form), Salazzle, Alolan Ninetales, Kommo-O

Possible US/UM team:
- Different starter.
- Either non-Alolan Raichu, another Alolan form that evolves from a Pokemon without an Alolan form (Exeggutor or Marowak) or one of the Pika clones. I'll probably go for one of the latter two since I've used Raichu too many times before.
- Lycanroc (Midday form).
- Not sure what a Salazzle counterpart could be.
- Alolan Sandslash or non-Alolan Ninetales.
- Either another Gen 7 dragon type such as Drampa or another dragon type that evolves twice such as Salamence.
 
I'll use the same team I used in Sun: My starter, Litten, plus some lv. 1 Pokemon bred in Sun to start off. Mudkip, Chespin, Mawile, Munchlax, and Elekid. That seems to be my team going forward in all the games from now on, starting off.
 
Given that third games usually don't introduce any new Pokemon, I'll go into it with that knowledge. Primarina, Salazzle, and A-Marowak are at the top of my lists.

True. Although, I might have Primarina instead of Incineroar. But, thanks anyway for the suggestions.

Still concerned about what exactly they'll be adding (or potentially removing). I'm hopeful we get some actually decent stuff, but there's nothing stopping them from adding another bunch of Pokemon with equally bland and weak movesets and a ton of easily found weaknesses.

We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.
 
I feel really bad about bumping this thread, but I didn't want to make a thread about teams if one was already made.

I've decided that I'm going to make up my team entirely of birds. I'm really excited cause I've never made teams centered around one theme or typing, and the challenge will be interesting.
 
I only know that I'm definitely using Primarina again, even if won't be the same strength as the one I had in Moon, since he did have a +Sp. Atk nature and perfect Sp. Atk IVs. Still, it's the only final stage starter that I actually like, since I find Incineroar too "ugly" and I don't want to be using Decidueye like pretty much everyone else would.

Rest of the team? I stand by what I said before in that I'd wait for the regional Dex first.
 
One game (permanent file) would have Rowlet and special rockruff most likely. Probably add zygarde to the team later on. Version mascot. Undecided Fire and Water type.
 
I might have a starter and go with a team that I collect as I go on my journey... Something I haven't done for ages (since the idea of "get every starter" started popping up, though this is mainly in ROM Hacks)...
 
I'm still not too sure whether I'll end up buying USM. So this is just a preliminary team that'll change once we know the full dex. USM spoilers below. The only thing for certain is Primarina, since I'd like to choose a different starter this time for a change of pace.

haven't decided yet until the regional dex comes out, but the ones i will get for my team are rowlet for team mascot, dusk form lycanroc, and Solgaleo if it is part of the story as Nebby on SM.
 
Well, I have always used a Girafarig and Wigglytuff in every generation so far, so this game won't be any different. However, I would like to use maybe a Bruxish, Hitmonchan/lee/top, Yanmega and Lumineon too! Haven't used any of them in a playthrough before so I may as well.
 
I really grew attached to this team I made for Pokemon Moon. Primarina, Vikavolt, Alolan Sandslash, Minior, Dhelmise, Kommo-o. I may use it again.
 
I'm considering reusing the same team that I used in Moon - Primarina, Froslass, Mudsdale, Magnezone, Salazzle and Hariyama. But then again, they might toss in different Pokemon that could entice me, or they might remove some Pokemon thus restricting my choice of options. If they do do that though, I may have to run with alternatives.
