Many things can, Im a fan of CBMence, and Gliscor would be good, if we didnt have a dragon for a physical sweeper.

Donphan-Ice Weak
Blissey-No Ice Weak
Dragonite/Salamence/Garchomp-ICe Weak
Gliscor-Ice Weak
Infernape-No ICe Weak
Gengar-Cant survive good ice hits anyways

So 3 ice weaks on the team, Starmie does a number on us if Blissey gets taken down guys. IF Gliscor replaces Bronzong, then we lose ice resist. But then also we'll have to use a different phyical sweeper to counter our sad littel ice weak. So Im saying either Glisocr, or a dragon.

Hmm, hard choice now that I've realized how much Gliscor owns. =\

Yeah, both do sort of well to counter Heracross. Well, unless it's like Garchomp. =\ But sure. I guess we'll have to take out the bat. D:

That leaves us with maybe having a second Heracross counter in a physical wall, I've seen this guy in action and used him, he can take donw many many pokes. Pusuit on him is just plain evil. Thats why Im suggesting, a phyisical wall like Dusknoir, but that leaves us with TWO ghost types, and Pursuit can still leave a hole in this guy. I HAVE NO CLUE!!

Guys, don't worry about the ice weak so much. As long as you have a resist or two (two is best), you don't need to worry. Yache Berry is also a possibility, though I find it a waste of an item to be honest. Just have a sturdy fire type or steel type like Entei or Metagross to take ice attacks like nothing.

So then we can stick with Bronzong. And now on to the dragon debate. Ok I keep getting myself powned by Garchomp, even Skarm has a hard time standing up to its Outrage. I say Garchomp.

This is random, but...

has anyone considered Hippowdon for a wall? With its defenses + a move-weakening berry might be enough to beat Donphan. Give it a Fire Fang, though.

Despite that annoying Sandstorm smacking us in the face every turn.

Plus it's not a dragon counter.

jb0000612, read the thread we're not after a wall we have them already.Dont post random things like you actually said yourself that you are doing.

Donphan >> Hippo for this team.

Sandstorm builds up hurting everything.

Donphan gets a priority move in Ice Shard.

it gets most importantly Rapid Spin which we need.

Are you crazy? Yelling at jb is America's favorite pastime!

Chomp, hm, I forget-what were the options?

Well its fun, but not practical. How about ten minutes alotted for yelling at jb?

And options so far are the varius physical dragon sweepers, garchomp, salamence, etc, Heracross, and thats pretty much it, Im throwing Machamp into the mix.

Glad to hear.:tired:

Anyways, Serebii's got some good physical sweepers on their Pokemon of the Week. Here are some I'd suggest:

Lord Vire
Kangaskhan
Heracross
Drapion

BTW, I know 99% of the time when I hear your replies that I'm not really an expert competitor, so if you ever get tired of yelling, I'll just stop.

Wow, this thread has gone to chaos.

But seriously, our #1 rule here on rating is to not give advice if you're in no position to give it. And when you're giving us Kangaskhan for an OU team, we aren't likely to take you seriously. Not to mention that Hippo ALWAYS beats donphan one on one with its instant recovery move and fire fang is just no on the hippo.

As for sweepers, Garchomp is overrated. Seriously, easy to wall, annoying to use. I'm not one for Garchomp. The only set I've ever found of any use is Chain Chomp, and I haven't seen ONE so far on shoddy.

I would say CBtar, but sand stream is too tough on out team. I actually think metagross would be nice. It has AMAZING resistances at its disposal (normal, rock, and ice is ALWAYS good!) CB explosion takes 85% from Skarm, that's A LOT (considering it resists it also). I think a Scarf or CB variant would be good for the team.

Thank you. We are glad that you are trying to help, but you are only annoying us if you aren't putting any real thought into what you say. Why would Drapion make a good Physical attacker? What gives you that idea? Because it was on Serebii's Pokemon of the Week? That's not a good enough basis for us to use it. This is what I mean by "put some thought into it". He is in no way the best. How will any of the pokes you've given benifit this team? Just being physical sweepers isn't enough. We need one that fits a certain role. Not, as I said, some random list from Serebii.

I disagree. I personally hate Chainchomp for various reasons.

We said Gross 3 times. I personally dislike it-it never caused me too much greif, & Torterra has fun with it.
Well, my views in bold. I like Weavile.

Wait, what? What Instant recovery move does Hippo has? Rest? Hippo ALWAYS beat Donphan? How? Hell, Donphan has Ice Shard. & as you always said, one on one is meaningless.

AND most importantly gets Rapid Spin, Hippowdon does not. The only thing Hippo >> Donphan has is Slack Off.

We need a clean up sweeper of sorts.

I suggest we select via vote the one we want.

The bolded text is somewhat bad aswell

really once blissey goes, Starmie says hi. One or two Pursuits is all it takes from CB Tar or CB Weavile on Blissey and we are raped by starmie.

we really need to cut down on this ice weakness.

I would pick DNite for the official dragon team for its awesome defences. Chomp has some deadly hits, but a speedy Ice-user like Floatzel could sweep it with Ice Beam or Fang.

Scarfchomp...

Not to mention you'd be an absolute idiot to keep any Mence or Dnite without a DD under its belt in. It's like keeping blissey in against Tyranitar...

And really, blissey takes ice attacks fine, I wouldn't worry about that weak. And there's always Forretress if you hate ice type attacks.

Forretress! Excellent suggestion. We should have one with a Defense boosting stat, like Relaxed. With Spikes, it's a deadly trap-and-trim.
