    [PokeCommunity.com] The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth!


    The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is now available on Steam, Playstation 4, Vita, and in the Humble Store. It has been met with "Overwhelmingly Positive" user reviews and has even patched some of its bugs already. The game features all of the content of the original The Binding of Isaac, as well as the expansion pack, Wrath of the Lamb. In addition to this, there is as much new content in this release as Wrath of the Lamb added, if not more, including new room types, enemies, bosses, and tons of new items.

    What are your thoughts on the game? Is it as good as it's made out to be? Do you like the new engine? And yaknow just talk about the game in general. POOP!

    It's surprisingly fun! But sadly I can't pass the third floor :(

    I beat Mom last night within 2 hours of starting up the game, lol. The atmosphere is amazing! I love this game so much!
     
    I've been planning to pick this game up, but haven't had the money or the means of purchasing a game online. From what I've seen it looks really good, though, and It sounds like my kind of game.
     
    I don't have this yet but I want it so much like you don't even know. Normally I have a hard time putting more than one hour at a time into a game but Isaac was one of the rare exceptions where I had a hard time even putting it down, lool. But of course, with the original being a Flash-based game, we were often met with a lot of glitches and problems.

    Really hope I can buy it soon but I'm very stingy with money and already got the boyfriend a copy. :'((((

    I've been to Sheol twice now, beat Mom's Heart with Isaac, Cain, and Eden. Satan seems harder than I remember. Eden is really cool

    Yes, Satan is definitely harder. And Isaac too, by the way. But on my last run I was lucky and I got the perfect Isacc-counter: your tears shield against the ennemies tears. I don't need to remind you that Isaac shoots back every tear you shoot at him. So he could litterally not hit me once, since my tears blocked his...

    Edmund McMillan is now working on an expansion pack for Rebirth. But that's not the big part, the team is taking suggestions from fans for items! You can post suggestions or vote here:

    The one I have in mind right now is one I call "The Nuzlocke". An item which will generate up to 5 familiars. When you lose a full heart in damage, you lose one familiar and can never get it back.

    That's actually pretty cool how the developer(s) are keying in on their fan base for this new expansion. Not surprising though that our PC Challenges Mod chose the name "The Nuzlocke" for his addition though haha.

    So Rebirth is 25% off for the Steam holiday sale and I'm about to go nab this baby because omg do I want it. ♥ ♥ ♥ I just love the new pixel style - it's so retro yet looks so good and smooth. Definitely can't miss out, especially with how much I loved the old Binding of Isaac. Finally figured out what to spend a portion of my holiday money on. :D

    Aaaand I hardly use my Reddit account so it might be worth logging in and checking that out. Neat.
