The Bulbasaur Race [Part 2]

And the reason why the episode was skipped in the dub? The COTD had freaking guns, which I presume the US wouldn't have considered appropriate for a kids show at the time.

16 Why didn't they just edit them out like they did with yugioh lol

We're on Magikarp, I wonder what will happen to it.

I find it so odd how Tauros and Miltank are considered counterparts of each other yet are from different generations. Tauros can only breed with a Ditto and even if he does breed with a Miltank the egg will still hatch into a Miltank.

Apparently it's just they both happen to be a normal types and based on cows, but a relation like Volbeat and Illusime or the two Nidoran would be perfect. There are a lot of cool moves Tauros can learn, you were unable to pass on as egg moves, luckily most of them are available as infinitely usable TM now.

I remember Ash's 30+ Tauros and how confused I was when I first watched the episode where it was revealed that he caught so many. I wondered when he went to the Safari Zone, since that episode was skipped in the dub.

As I kid I didn't even think about it. I just took it as if they were at Oak's Lab all the time without questioning why. But I don't get why they didn't just edit that gun out of the episode, it was only a short moment, and I believe that's pretty common in anime. What they did edit later was a sandwich, because Japanese food is apparently as scary as a gun. :P

It's only weak for a short time. A level 20 Gyarados can destroy everything, in particular all those basic Pokémon that haven't evolved yet, which is about all of them that moment.

True that, even if it does know Tackle (lv15 is late, very late), it's still practically useless, but you can always switch in and out once trainer's Pokémon are around level 24 or so and it goes pretty rapid. Once level 20, Karpy can manage battles himself.
Same goes for Abra by the way, Kadabra (and Alakazam immediately if you're able to trade) are really worth it.

Not a Magikarp fan. I find it worthless to me.
