The Bulbasaur Race [Part 2]

18

Bayleef is my least favorite evolution of Chikorita.

10 - We're on Meganium now!

Pikachu and Lucario are the cleverest ones to pick. Mewtwo is also an option if you can unlock him in Super Smash Bros Melee, or if you can get him als DLC for Super Smash Bros 4. Too bad he isn't in Super Smash Bros Brawl, though.

I see, thank you. I think I played as Lucario once, years ago, just because I was like "Hey, A Pokémon character, I know that one." I think one of my friends has it (don't know which version though), so I should give the game a try again.

I just...can't with this evolution line. I dunno. There's just something stopping me from voting them up.

I've never played any SSB, except for a few seconds of the demo for the 3DS. But fighting games aren't my style, and I've given up on ever understanding how to play them well. I'll just enjoy the "clackclackclackclack" noise of a player practicing tech skill for 3 hours on the Gamecube version.

11.

Maybe because it's just random button mashing and hoping that will work out? I don't know, it's probably more fun when you actually know what you're doing.

Actually, I'd say Smash is one of the few fighting games that isn't random button mashing, surprisingly. You have almost full control of your character, and a majority of your moves are easily accessible. Combos aren't done by memorizing button combinations, but instead by first hitting the opponent, then chasing them, and following up with more attacks. Because the tech skill is relatively easy to master (compared to most games anyway), a lot of the competitive play comes from the "prediction" aspect of it, where you need to try to read and observe your opponent's playstyle. It's incredibly thrilling and it's also one of the only 2-3 things that I play competitively. :D

Are the Pokémon characters a clever pick to play with?

Yup! As Classic said, Pikachu and Lucario can pull off a lot of clever tricks! I'm trying to get better with both of them, especially since Lucario's combos are amazingly fun (and powerful) in Project M! Pikachu's pretty fun too - I'm quite fond of his diverse aerial hitboxes and his Down-B, which is a really strong Thunder attack. ^^

12 Aww I like Meganium :3

Meganium has always struck me as one starter that should have more females than males due to it's feminine appearance. Delphox is another one this applies to I think.

It is often seen as it, isn't it? In Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team you can only play as Chikorita if you say you're female in the personality test. Ironically, seven out of eight Meganium are male.

We're on Totodile now. Seeing it's a favorite of a couple of people here, it's probably going to be saved instantly.

Eh? We finished the grass starter, so we should be on the fire starter now, right? :P
