The Count To Infinity - v12

I don't think I'd want to live there permanently as they drive on the wrong side of the road 😌 😏
but, I wouldn't mind going there on vacation some time.

I once accidentally drove on the wrong side of the road for a very short while. Don't ask me how I forgot which side to drive on after literally spending years doing it properly. The road was empty and my brain just seemed to not work at that moment. xD

I don't drive, but I spent one week in UK, and for like two years, I was so afraid to cross the road because I wasn't sure from which side the cars would be coming XD

I shook so much the first time I drove down the road. "Big metal death trap that could end my life in one small mistake".

Then I got over it. Still, I think a healthy fear of driving is always a good thing.

I got my license a few months ago and while I mostly feel fine driving on regular streets; the highway still makes me nervous. One time a friend who works at the place next to me needed a ride home; so I had to drive 55MPH somewhere I'd never been on a thin 2-lane highway in the pitch black. Let's just say I was glad when I got home safe and sound.

You got a license already!? i'm one year younger than you and I haven't even done practice yet. probably because I'm currently living overseas, lol. but learning how to drive is going to be difficult for me, mainly because I have dyspraxia, which means my reaction time is slower and I have bad spacial awareness. although glasses kinda help with the spacial awareness thing.

242 111. Here's a story:

When I went to get my permit for driving, I had to take the vision test. I failed even with my glasses on.

The lady administering the test asks: "You got something wrong with those eyes"?

I went to an actual eye doctor and my eyes were perfectly fine. Turns out the woman at the vehicle department didn't give me the test correctly. I had to wait several months to get booked again for my permit because of COVID.

My license was a massive pain to get. Here in AL; you have to get a learner's license (which only lets you drive with ppl over 21) then after you turn 16 and have had it for at least 6 months you can apply for a real license. Well my 16th birthday was in February 2023, but since I only got my permit in September (which took me 2 attempts to get because I failed the vision test the first time); I had to wait until March. Once I was eligible I took the test but failed because I didn't get in the turning lane on the final turn, I took it again a few days later and failed again because I was turning left and didn't yield to the people on the opposite lane. After that I decided to do it through my school as I had signed up for my school's Drivers Ed course in case this happened. However it took a good few weeks for us to start driving and I was only in the second group. Luckily I did pass my test that time; but we're not done yet because the teacher was having issues with his certification which took another ~1.5 weeks to clear up. Then it was another ~3 days until the authorization was accepted by the system. Ultimately I finally got the stupid license in May. It was a huge pain but at least I won't ever have to go through this whole ordeal again; the most I'll have to deal with is going to the DMV every few years to get it renewed.

There is no sunrise so beautiful that it is worth waking me up to see it.

Try to keep your head inside the car, Lavender =3
Spoiler:

I've been working on drawing the Fakemon line for the art goal thing yesterday and today. It's been a nice change of pace, but at the same time I definitely prefer drawing existing stuff as I'll already know what it's supposed to look like and can see if something's off. For this fakemon line I'm constantly second guessing myself if something is off or not 😅
I think I have the base and middle stage done now... though I might need to to some redesigning depending on the final stage. I have something in my mind for the final stage that I think will be awesome, but I kinda doubt my capabilities in actually creating it the way I'm envisioning it. 😔

Seeing people stick arms out of car windows makes me physically cringe. I always imagine "what if another car comes speeding too close". That person would have the arm ripped straight off.
