If I play a Pokemon game again it's usually to grab extras for the once per game Pokemon.
Though I also have done additional replays for extra apriballs.

That's funny, I've completed 3 full runs of Scarlet. Did you use different teams each time, or did you stick to the same Pokemon?

On my first playthrough I used one team of gen 9 Pokemon. In my second playthrough I used a different team of gen 9 Pokemon. But I also used another team as a little sidestory thing I made up (for one badge and then some very specific trainers). For my third playthrough I used a mixed team for the main game. And for the post game I'm still building up a new one (with a little bit of a side story).

I like replaying the games that are not trying to force a story. So, gens 1, 2 and 9 in particular give me most of that. I also like to skip the human aspect of the series and just treat my team as a party of adventurers going on their own quest instead of being the slave of some generic player character/NPC.

I replay the games for several reasons: to remember how they were, to get a deeper look into story and lore, trying out a different team, sometimes it's challenges.
Now, it's also to learn another language lol

I haven't played Pokémon Scarlet/Violet but I generally play only one save per game. One notable exception is Dark Souls (not sure if you've heard about that game?) because I started a new save to help a friend :)

Other than the gameplay, I like the way the story is narrated and the lore in general because it's you finding the pieces to the puzzle. There's a lot of interpretation and theories.

Yo, we in here talking about Dark Souls? I love that game. I'm currently doing a third playthrough of it with a buddy of mine who's never played it before. It's been a treat to be sure lol.
