I prefer calm instrumental music because I listen music while going to sleep on the required occasions, hence any music that is calming is nice!

Aaaach... I looked up the lyrics to the song 1589 by the German power metal band Powerwolf again to refresh myself on them for when I would then listen to the music video again, and the lyrics on the website had been changed slightly!!! They used to say one thing, but now they're saying something slightly altered! So I checked another lyric website, and their lyrics for the song were different somewhat from the other website's lyrics.

How am I supposed to ken the lyrics to the song (so I can sing along with them when listening to it) if everyone's got different lyrics for it?! What do I have to do- buy the CD just so I can get the lyrics for one song...?!!

@Megan Pump Up Kicks went mainstream for that reason.

...I'll be honest. I have no urge to ever listen to it. Not that I hate the song or anything, but it feels too personable and I get no joy from hearing it. Maybe it's just the way the subject matter is presented.

When the lyrics are in another language I don't speak I often end up wondering if the lyrics are about anything at all or if they're more Nanowar of Steel style where it's just random stuff.

I remember this one german power metal band I like did an official lyric video for the album-length version of their song Skyfall, and they got one of the lyrics wrong. I can understand a fan-made lyric video having one or more errors, but an official one... Not sure how that happened.

Metal music sounds hard to my ears because it generates some consistent high pitched noise which causes me to treble.
