I'm in the aftermath of yesterday's Christmas party. And by that I mean I got four hours of sleep before it was back to work. <_<

Fortunately for me my work doesn't really have them. I've only had 1 after hours informal work party like thing in the like 12-13 years I've worked there =3

We didn't do much at work, but we often spontaneously hung out with colleagues once per week.

Well, last week of work in the year for me, anyway! And I'm already halfway through! :D

I only get off on December 25-26 and January 1st this month. Every other workday is a workday like usual for me.

I got off for Winter Break starting Dec. 14, it's been going well; but the January - March stretch of the year after is always the worst.

Kinda wish I still had as many vacation weeks as you get during school ngl.... 6 week break during summer which would also mean not having to work in the blistering heat and just chilling at home lol

On the other hand it's one of my 2 busy periods of the year so it's extra pay =3

I hate the idea of workplace parties. Unless there's a benefit of networking, just no. That time could be spent with family. I don't believe in 'work place family'.

Then again that could be that I'm a cynical young adult.

My opinion could change someday.

Conversely, I didn't even knew how quickly the past month got finished. It still seems that exams were commenced just a week ago. Although, no more exams and assignment for this year.

Much of college is self discipline. It's like highschool without training wheels or hand holding. You have to be motivated.

I wish society would be more accepting of two year community colleges instead of pushing everybody into a university.

At a two year school, they'll help you transfer to a 4 year school or university when ready and you get a feel for what the workload is like without much of the social pressure of living on a campus. So it's worth considering.

I don't regret doing my two year school even for a moment. I didn't even have transportation so I had to take the long public pus commute each day.

I also learned that I am not always a disciplined student. I'm glad I figured that out instead of immediately taking out a loan and running into a 4 year school.

I always had trouble motivating myself for courses I did not like when I was in school.
