ROSETTA STONE

New languages shouldn't really be too hard to learn. I'm in my 5th year of Spanish and I'm still not that fluent yet. I'm probably too lazy.

I speak English and French fluently. Yup, not much else to it. I'd love to learn Spanish.

Then take some initiative and come up with something new. ;)

I'm fluent in French when I need to be, I.E, class. Other than that I only speak it when I need to sound cultured.

I don't know any French at all. Maybe a few words? But I don't even know how to pronounce them. There's no French classes here in our country, that's why.

I've also been taking German for ten weeks. (I'm already keeping up with the guys at the top of the class who've been taking it for as long as I've been taking Spanish, though.)

In the future, I'd also like to learn Japanese, French, Italian, Portuguese, Greek and Russian. In that order. Languages are my passion, I guess, and I just have a bit of a natural affinity for words in general.

Lucky you. I want to be a linguistic person too. Too bad I'm not. If I were to learn any languages other than the 2 I know right now, I have to learn it myself.

I heard Rosetta Stone was really good. I'd use it for Japanese, if I had the money.

I wouldn't have enough money to buy any of those books. ;;

Right now I'm taken Spanish and I'm not liking it that much at all. We use to have Japanese class at my school but they got rid of it sadly because then I would have taken Japanese.

I think it is a computer program and books. I'm not totally sure, though.

Yes, there's an "interactive online" thing in Rosetta Stone. If it was still paid, though, I still can't use it. ;;

I took Spanish my 7th, 8th, and 9th grade year, but I forgot a lot of the words they taught me.

I know enough to have a small conversation with someone.

I would try Rosetta Stone but they're expensive. I think when it comes to learning a new language, anything outside of the classroom is a good change.

I actually thought Rosetta Stone was a scam until I saw the software at Costco. xD

I'm happy with teaching myself other languages though. At least I have some effort. xD

Apparently it is pretty good.
I would try it if it wasn't so expensive. But, oh well. If I really want to learn a language, then I would shell out for it, I guess.​

I agree though, it is a little annoying when you are trying to read someones post and it is some abstract take on the English language.​
