I joined for wifi competitive battling \o/...Then I got rather obsessed with everything else here. XD
 
I came here to show off whatever sprites and art I had. :D That was part of the reason anyways. I also decided to join because I was bored, and there was actually other stuff that interested me enough to post, so... shrug.

Found this place through peoples' signatures elsewhere, finally joined due of the above because I was just like "well, why not?" one day.

When I came here I joined because I love Pokemon and I like to join forums.
Also Pokecommunity sounded like a nice place to join so I did this is one of my favorites forums to go to every day there is a lot of people I know.
 
I joined here... for Pokemon pictures I think. I can't remember why I was looking for them, but the MCG FC's always used to have stacks of pictures in the largest threads to get.

And PC was the 2nd forum I joined. The 1st one I was at was more gaming-based which was much different to here.
 
I joined because I like to join most sites that are about an interest I have, and this one struck me as fairly friendly. Oh, and I think I was looking for lists of shinies, or something like that. I've gone between being semi-active in ROM Hacking, DCC, PTCG, OT, the Pokemon video games area, back to PTCG, back to OT, and now currently the PTCG.

I'm not even a regular in the DCC (now, anyways... back in '05/'06 it was a different story). I just saw the topic of the hour and decided I liked it!

I have to agree with you there. When I joined here in May (Active by July) I was still very wary of divulging any sense of openness.

Now I share my thoughts freely here like I'm on the telephone. =/ (Which I rarely use)

Joining here really got me to know the fandom a bit..

Edit: Drag Queen? O_o

Haha, I was never a DCC frequenter until the latter half of last year. :] It's slowed down but it's still pretty active. I could never get into the daunting DCC where it would get a page every few minutes. When it was like that the other night, I posted less because it just got hard to post and be on topic. XD; But the pace it goes at now? I can definitely deal with that. :] I can go out for a few hours and come back to a new topic, sure, but if I want to read the progression to that topic I only have to go back a page at most. It's a good pace. ♥

But yeah, I've always been pretty open on PC. XD I like this group of regulars, though. It's a good crowd and talking is really easy with you guys. :D
 
I've always hated the DCC at that pace, it was just ridiculous. I remember the frenzy people went into whenever a new one was started and there would be at least ten posts every minute, an by the time I finished actually making a decent reply, about five pages worth of stuff to read up on, and it's something that would go on for about an hour each and every time.

Groups are kinda fun to deal with, as long as they don't have any stupid names attached that make them seem incredibly cliquey, I've always thought that really dragged down this thread and made it seem like a club.

Hah, I should so be asleep by now~

Wow, I signed off of IM and everything at like 3AM how is it 4 already? I've done absolutely nothing since.
 
I agree that the current pace is great, although sometimes I do miss the times back from 2005~6's crazy DCCs. The fact you couldn't understand what was going on was one of its charms, I guess.
And nothing could beat us, the DCC [censored word that wasn't censored at the time].
 
I started posting in the DCC at the end of 2006 due to Jae leaving (what is it now... Pokemon Clubs?) at that time. We followed and discovered a place that woul-- it would change things. And ew, the next year, 2007, was a DCC spam/post count obession fest. Well, for the earlier half of the year. I guess that was one of the first things that made people have certain opinions about me :| The DCC I made was the most inactive of them all. The title... "Zomg... it's the June DCC" -insert other strange things in the title- made it unappealing probably, or the fact that I made it. I remember viewing the Chit-Chat Forum threads and seeing that mine had the least post-- Or maybe not. John's might've been less, but I doubt it. Oh God how I don't like thinking about 07 now. D: Then the whole January 07 thing >_>;

Then October 08 was interestingly stupid! I've had bad experiences with DCCs. :[

You mean the DCC I started back then?

Eh...one reason I dont post in the DCC so much is because I dont like it when it's going so fast you cant keep up with the topic...and usually most of the stuff talked about in the DCC isn't really all that interesting.
 
Wow the other chat section sure has a lot of new threads:), most about something supernatural, wouldn't it be neat if we would call the Pair Thread "The Vegas Chapel"
 
... Oh wow. You know what that name for a thread would imply? XD;;
