The Darkest Dungeon

AROUND THE CAMPFIRE - 7
How quickly the tide turns.

The Heroes limped their way into a throne room covered in a bloody flesh-like substance. The throne was a rusted metal, the bones of some long-dead king seated in it, but the Jester dusted off the bones and sat upon the chair, tuning his mandolin.

The other Heroes barred the door with everything they could. They had killed several on the way to the throne room, but...now they had no idea who their foes were. They glanced around at one another, but none gave them pause.

Perhaps realizing too late that they were locked in with their enemies, they settled in for what would be a very unsettling night.

IN THE DUNGEON - 8
In the throne room, the Crone tip-toed over to her victim of the night, spitting into his ear and cutting her hand open to let the blood drip into his open, snoring mouth. She giggled at her own cleverness as she sneaked away.

Later in the night when the campfire had nearly dwindled, two figures prowled about and cupped their hands upon the mouth of one among them.

"Night night," said the shrouded figure, slicing Bardothren's throat from ear to ear as quiet as a cat.

The figure's companion tried to strike a second target, but the sound of a mandolin kept him from proceeding.

As they slunk back to their makeshift beds, another figure stepped out and threw his chains at them. The Prophet lashed at one of the figures, striking him cleanly on the face.

As the man fell backwards, the entire throne room echoed with the Prophet's mad laughter.

"Two to go! Nice and quick. Be sure you don't kill the one that I pick!"

The Heroes jumped up, ready to strike, but the foul creature was already gone.

As they prepared themselves for the next struggle, the earth below them shook. The Darkness was not willing to let them go further.

Today would prove...unfortunate.

So the jester protected the Arbalest, and the Crone cut herself to curse someone, but got attacked by the Necromancer's acolyte/Brawler? Then the Acolyte got hit by the Prophet?

Also, I think Bardothren was the Crone and got killed, since it was the only large amount of damage shown? Makes sense...right? o-O

Depends, how much damage had he taken otherwise?

I ****ING KNEW BARD WAS THE CRONE

[Attack] JohnnyMustang

Johnny is the acolyte. Killing him takes us one step closer to winning.
And before you try to suss me out can you wait like 5 hours for me to get home? I'd rather not explain myself on mobile

OMGUS me all you want but I did 5 damage to you last night and the acolyte took exactly 5 damage.

I'll make a wonderful post explaining my role and why you should trust me when I get home in ~1 hour and 45 minutes

He's liying guys, i am the Highwayman. I don't know what golgari is but he does seem eager to attack me. I also know a few more roles around, i know who the jester is. I remember you that i was the one that started a bandwagon against Arsonist who was the brawler, and i also attacked Kiyo that was the necromancer.
...You did, but...those instances are not the best examples. When the Arsonist bandwagon began, the incriminating evidence came after the fact, and the only reason people started attacking was because of his strange behavior.

Plus, just yesterday, you attacked Mana who was in a pretty precarious position and despite several members attesting to their innocence. Your attacking Elwood was more common sense than anything else, too. After all, attacking Mana was suss enough, and you did that under the pretense of their being know other known viable options, and while I am pretty annoyed that Wiz attacked me yesterday, it definitely made more sense than attacking Mana. Attacking anyone other than Elwood would have been risky and inefficient.

Worse, you're attacking Golgari despite the fact that he said, once he was off mobile, he would explain his actions. Whether Gol's scum or no, attacking someone so quickly after the day's started when they explicitly said that they had more to say and then trying to repoint our fingers at him...it doesn't look good, Mustang.

So yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and [ATTACK] JohnnyMustang.

Errrrrrrr ok. Still explain please Doof?

If the suspected Crone and potential Acolyte are dead... who's left?

Ah yes, finally behind the beautiful screen of my laptop..
Too bad that the jig is up.

Heroes, Evils, and whatever is left of the terrors.
I am the Prophet... BUT WAIT, before you attack me let me tell you all about myself and how I can benefit every party involved in this game.

I'll start off by saying that I chose JohnnyMustang to die this phase, so I now am able to instakill anyone I chose. But what does this do for you all, the other players of this game? Well, provide me any information that I may use to find a worthy target and I shall decide whether or not to strangle them, choke them, or any form of prophet-esque execution that Klippy sees fit.

I am not evil. I win this game as long as I survive, or I can get a guaranteed win by predicting 5 deaths. This does not end the game, this does not lower or raise the odds of any other faction's chances of winning. It is simply a message that will say "Golgari has won" and I will continue to participate in this game (as far as I know). Whether I continue to use my prophet role after winning, only Klippy can decide. Also, Klippy has given me a bit of a power boost by allowing me to deal 5 damage every night, which is how I was able to hit Johnny and find out his role.

Before attacking me, please do ask me as many questions as you wish about my actions, alignment, or role. I'd also like to mention that killing me will not be as easy as you might think, so please, do think long and hard, and please ask me or tell me your reasoning before attacking me, because I feel as though most of these reasons are just "random lynch" and stuffs of that sort, and I feel that I will be able to show you many more reasons why you should keep me alive if you give me the chance.

Hm...I have information to divulge as well. Call it covering my ass or retribution for the death of Johnny. I was waiting and, hell, I'm not sure that it's safe yet- in fact, I'll say right now that this information probably doesn't mean much for most of you but, if the person involved is still alive, they'll know who I am and it possibly may the other players in the long run.

So, you guys notice how I've been taking damage despite not having been attacked? faer actually brought it up a few days ago:
So here's a list again
target: attacker(s) -damage done
Etherion: Milotic/Candy -40
Elwood: machomuu, Bardo, Mana, Ullion, Omnicron, Gimmepie, Golgari, Hopeless, Sopheria, Rozureido, Chesire Cat, Wizard, Christos -54
Wizardman: Lycanthropy - not mentioned
Davepeta: Syndrome, GreyBidoof, Johnny -12
Zehn: Elwood -13
Milotic: Davepeta -37
Hopeless Maquerade: Fun Size, faer -11
machomuu: noone -2
Lycanthropy: noone -4

There's 6 damage on the list that's unaccounted for. We've had unaccounted damage before. So far it only came in portions of 2 damage to one player per day.
Well, the reason for this is because I was stabbed. By The Cutthroat, specifically. Each post costs me 2 points of damage come night time, and that's why from X day onwards I've been much, much quieter than I was during the earlier days, and similarly why I would only do one post a day (to minimize damage).

My posts can be as long and as suave as I want them to be, but generally I try not to engage in arguments or debates because they demand response and otherwise make me suss, which is why I'm telling you guys this now (that paired with the fact that I couldn't confirm whether the Cutthroat's NA worked on a name or role basis, so I had to be careful so that my role wouldn't be revealed to them). As for proof, I have the message from the ancestor, but I imagine the four damage come the end of the day will be proof enough. I won't RR, though, I think their actions will speak much louder than my role can in this regard. If they're still alive, that is.

And...that's about it. Again, this only really has significance if they're still alive and...well, if not, at least the mysterious damage has been made less mysterious. So please don't attack me again, Wiz. Kiiiiinda bleeding here. From my lungs, apparently.

Wait I don't understand. If you win... nothing happens? Nothing at all? A post from Klippy comes up and some celebratory balloons start to fall with the message "Golgari has won"? Is there anything you're not telling us? That doesn't seem to be a role a GM would give a player as far as I know.

Also I have another question: why should we keep you alive? I get that because you can insta-kill you could be helpful, but many of us don't know what side you're actually on and because of that in the long run you are dangerous. Are you playing to be helpful or are you playing to win?

I'm assuming it's akin to the Rumpel from OUaT where Rumpel won but the game continued anyways.

Nevertheless, at least we know who the prophet is and we can keep an eye on him. I don't know who else is left though, to direct his OHKO onto. :/

That's true. I'm just confused as to what the point of that is. And If you remember OUaT, can Golgari even die after he wins? I know the rules may be different, but I'd just like to know what may happen concerning him.

Also I'm not sure, but there's only ten players left right? If so, then out of all ten, if I exclude myself, and everyone I've investigated, and Golgari which I'm gonna believe is the Prophet since not many people would just go around RRing seemingly the most dangerous role in the game, then there are three people left that are unconfirmed from what I can tell. I'm debating of revealing the three since that would reveal the alignment of everyone else, but if you guys want I can. Also I found the Vestal last night, so that's a thing.

Then why don't you just tell us who these people are?
Also, I'm just a normal lowly villager. Not as fun as when I was a Giant, but it's a life.
