The Darkest Dungeon

Are you telling me you want Klippy to give out clues as to who is which hero.

Mana pls the point of these posts is to inform us how many evils we have left and to inform us of what's happening to them/what they're doing to us.

Are you being oddly antagonistic on purpose? I'm not sure why you're grilling me just for pointing out that not all heroes are mentioned, therefore perhaps not all evils are mentioned either.

Bleh, does this mean I'll have to go back and prove to you that all of the evils are dead
I guess I'll make a list or something... eventually.

I'm going to take advantage of the fact that the phase has not changed yet...

AROUND THE CAMPFIRE - 6
The Heroes were in a vast library. Deep in this Darkness, there had been knowledge. There had once been light here and life. No longer did that life exist. Four more had fallen this day and the Heroes felt confident as they slew their targets.

But confidence is a slow and insidious killer.

Volumes upon volumes of ancient tomes lined the shelves. Books on alchemy and herbs, tomes on the nature of man and beast, and many books written in a long-forgotten language. The Heroes made camp at the center of the library, using the books as kindling. It lit up easily and provided them with the most light they'd had since entering the Dungeon.

They barred the doors and settled in for the night as the Drums of Doom reverberated along the walls.

They were very close now.

IN THE DUNGEON - 7
As the Heroes rested in the Library, the Jester played his song. It was soothing and calmed many among them, but outside the Library, Evil was afoot - both from friend and foe.

The Leper stepped between the sleeping bodies and stooped beside one of them. He was snoring loudly and she could smell alcohol on his breath.

Doom

The Grave Robber had just uncovered another body. She wiped off her sweaty brow and stooped down to inspect what was six feet under when a shifting of dirt nearby made her jump.

One of the graves was moving. She hopped out of the first grave and poked at the moving one when a hand burst from the dirt. She shrieked and fell backwards, landing on a pile of dirt. As the hand grasped for something solid, it got hold of a root and pulled the body it was attached to from below the grave.

It was gimmepie, the former Terror. His features were the same, but he was gaunt and thin. He seemed shorter as well, but his scars from the Shambler were unmistakable.

"Help...me..." he whispered.

Doom

The Crone sneaked into the Library through a hidden bookshelf. Her magic had been chaotic and confusing so far, but today's would prove entertaining. She pondered whether she wanted the Darkness to destroy the mortals. It didn't much matter to her in the end.

She stooped below her target, now fast asleep, and kissed his lips. As she kissed him, she spit pitch-black spiders into his mouth which crawled down his throat and through his body. She smiled at him before making her way out of the Library.

The Arbalist patrolled outside of the Library, watchful for enemies. She was prepared for anything and had her crossbow ready when she saw it. The faint sluggish movements of the Swine Prince. She fired her arrow at him, piercing his backside. His squeal made her flinch and suddenly Wilbur was upon her, slashing at her throat. She threw the beast off her when the Swine Prince stabbed her thigh and oinked loudly.

Doom

The Arbalist pushed them both from herself and tried to get back inside the Library, but...two others were blocking her. They each stabbed her and laughed as she dragged herself into a corner, afraid and not ready to die.

A splash of poison crashed over her, drenching her in toxins. Her attackers fled. She rushed inside the Library, thanking the masked Hero for saving her, but feeling nauseous.

By what they believed was dawn, they felt rested and ready to move forward.

The Drums of Doom grew louder as they left the Library.
Doom doom doom.
