Jan Berenstain, one of the people famous for creating The Berenstain Bears, has passed away at the age of 88.
I didn't know much of the Berenstain Bears, but I did hear about it in my childhood.
May she rest in peace.

My dad loved the Calvin and Hobbes series of books. Like Garfield, Calvin and Hobbes is one of the best comics of all time!

I was force fed to read a few of those books as a child. Never really was a fan.
As for what books I did read for enjoyment as a child... let's just say I had a better understanding of US tax law and how to overhaul an engine in an '82 Chevy Suburban than most of my peers.
