Wow, now I'm tempted to create an alt account with the username "LeSabre-sensei" or "LeSabre-sama" lol

And tempted to start calling my OC character "Lisa-chan" despite her not being Japanese at all.
 
The current name of this thread reminds me so much of my old forum so much it's nostalgic, still trying to remind myself whether my screen name's Xulek or Reven on here now lol. Thank god nobody calls me Ven-San or Venitas-Sama anymore haha.

And yes, weaboos are weird. There I've contributed to ze topic, now where's my ****ing turtle.

Ew my god kill me now, that was surprisingly difficult.

Anyhoo yeah, I can't say that I automatically dislike any weaboo that I see, because I know that most people grow out of it by a certain age. All of them will look back someday and go "Why on earth did I act like that?", so I don't worry all too much. You never see too many of them past the age of 18, at the latest.
 
Ehhhhhhh I didn't know what a weeaboo was, but now I know lol.

Tbh I'm like one of the people who was never impressed by Japanese stuff, may it be anime, manga, or any of the other stuff that country has produced. I liked it, okay, but I was never impressed or became a big fan. I still don't watch a lot of anime or read manga, and I've only ever liked a very few anime series like DBZ or One Piece.

That was kind of fun, but I only ever talk this way to annoy people or make fun of them for anything that puts them as a borderline weaboo.

Weaboos are alright if you can look past their choice to reject most things "western".
 
I thought being weaboo was just some Internet thing and not a legit kind of... thing, lol.
 
I'm a casual anime watcher and don't have anything against people who watch it more than others, but the ones that (as donavannj said) reject everything western are the ones I generally have feelings of dislike towards.

It think its greeeeaaaaat to be cultured and to know things about a culture you're not involved in and immerse yourself into it, but neglecting yours for another isn't something I think should be done and I really worry about those who do that. It's nice to have a balance between the cultures you immerse yourself into, whether it be Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, Italian, etc.

But you know what? As much as I dislike people doing that, it's their life and if they want to do that, all power to them.
 
I think the title change for the thread is really fitting, no?

Also, I think we have a new nickname for Livewire, or rather, Livewire-k*shot*
 
It is very fitting. I'd imagine it was changed because of the conversation (although I could be wrong). Makes people hesitate on being off-topic, too.

And I'm not good with nicknames. I don't know what would work.
 
Actually, anime's the only Japanese thing I'm really hardcore into. Give me big 'ol American cars any day.

Yeah, I'm not very culturally diverse, sadly...
