Watched an episode of Dead by Dawn on Nat Geo Wild, which showed how a cricket was consumed by a Gecko, which was consumed by a Sand Boa, which was killed by a Sand Cat, which is not a worry for a Ferrel Eagle Owl, which doesn't want to mess with hyenas, which are unable to pinpoint the location of a Sandfish, which is actually a lizard but is at risk of getting stabbed by a scorpion which is killed by a Viper, which fails to kill a desert hedgehog that's grown to resist venom. Nature's metal.
