You can create your profile picture by accessing your User CP and clicking upon the "Edit Profile Picture" link in the list to your left.

Your best bet would be to check out the Toolbox located over in the ROM Hacking forum. Chances are that if another text editor exists it will be in there somewhere.

im having problems, i press start while playing pokemon shiny gold and it crashes and goes to the home screen ? whats going on i did everything right...itleast i think so :[
 
The best place to ask that question would be in the Shiny Gold Help Thread, my friend. I'm afraid that most of us frequent welcomers aren't too versed in the art of ROM hacking.

In either case, welcome to the Pokécommunity. Hope you get your error all worked out and decide to stick around.
